Ash Watkins and Chloe Kitts will "handle" Betts, but I was really hoping Adhel Tac or Sakima Walker would be ready to defend those taller post players. We had the BEST rim protector last season in Cardoso, but Ash Watkins has very special skills. We'll see how Joyce does, I pray she will come out like she did in the Olympics.
As you said, Cardoso was last season. South Carolina is going to miss her more than you realize. UCLA has the size and the strength to get the best of the South Carolina bigs, so Pao-Pao better have the game of her life, or the Gamecocks are going down.
I think the Tessa and raven will have to have good games same with Gabriela and kiki, ravens shooting hasn’t been the best this season this would be a good game to break out of that slump
If Raven will just DRIVE to the basket and score, that's all we need from her because her defensive presence is a must. She needs to forget making threes, that should have come easier for her at this point in time.

I almost forgot to mention last year when Kamilla Cardoso missed games due to Team Brazil qualifying for the Olympics her absence was a non factor. Ashlyn Watkins stepped into Kamilla’s role. No Cardoso. No problem for SC as the Gamecocks have a very deep bench. Deep enough to beat UConn last year by double digits without Cardoso!
I’m not a UCLA or South Carolina fan but this game may not be as close as they appear they should be on paper. I expect South Carolina to win this matchup easily. Kori Close’s team will underwhelm like they always do no matter how stacked or loaded they appear to be on paper. I will be surprised if South Carolina loses this game.

This is a Final Four preview!! Main concern is that both teams are physical and no one wants to have any injuries...but beyond that it will be UCLA... Just too much talent in both the front court and guards. They are the most complete team in the nation this year. Kiki is going to give quality minutes and E is 😊 playing like Rookie of the Year. UConn will "fold" against SC, Notre Dame, TEXAS, and USC. Even with Strong, PB's is again inconsistent against POWER teams. Strong is just like having Aliyah Edwards, otherwise, there's NO improvement in their roster.

I think they’ll be okay, but we’ll see on 11/24.
First of all Angel Reese didn't dominate Betts(Betts scored 14 points and 17 rebounds that game) 2nd Betts is 6'8 so automatically saying the SC bigs who are 6'4 and shorter are going to stop Betts easily is crazy. Coach Staley is legendary at making in game adjustments so I lean towards SC winning this one.

Your logic makes no sense. UCLA attempted close to 22 three pointers last year and only hit 7, whereas SC attempted only 17 and hit close to 7. The amount you shoot doesn't matter, it's the efficiency at which you shoot. Also, SC has one of the best defenses in the country, so shots won't come easy.

The other game was when Reese was -laying on one ankle in the Sec tournament and they loss.

Disagree. They fall behind early in a lot of games. They get in more trouble when they get an early lead and take the foot off the gas like what happened in the Tennessee game.
If they fall behind the other team will tire out, when she puts Fulwiley and Tessa in from the bench the momentum will shift quickly. SC bench is just too deep. When UCLA stars get tired they don’t have many options.

Disagree. They fall behind early in a lot of games. They get in more trouble when they get an early lead and take the foot off the gas like what happened in the Tennessee game.
