@@kdincali4nia type in on google “Do D2 players receive full athletic scholarships” and I also asked coaches at the D2 level is it common and they said no. 👍
100% right it's very rare to get a full athletic scholarship. They combine the athletic with academics scholarships. The issue I see is they need more NAIA schools. D3 schools are mostly private and expensive.

I went to Rock Valley College, a D3 JuCo in Rockford Illinois, but we played D1 & D2 schools (i.e. Indian Hills, Triton College, etc.) and beat them consistently (50-15 in my two years). I chose the NAIA route and am currently on my third season overseas. I´ve played with and against D1, NBA, G-League players and much like the collegiate level it comes down to situation and fit. You are 100% right, there are different levels when it comes to college basketball. Playing college basketball is very hard, 3-5% percent of high school players go on to play college basketball, which is crazy! What grade are you in and what postion you play?
Went D1 to a low end school that was at the time bottom of the conference. The best team at that time is now in a major conference FYI. After my freshman year I transferred to work on other things in life and I coach junior high now. Even though I wasn't in the NBA or google'able basically I often have kids thinking I cannot hoop or in pickup games thinking I am just another 6'2 white kid. Can't judge a book by its cover. I remember my senior year in the conference of 8 teams at the time we had 17 D1 transfers in the conference and only 2 of them made the 10 player first team all conference. We did not buy our own shoes, tho we didn’t receive pairs every game or every other game we did get multiple pairs a year and we definitely received a healthy amount of gear. I’m glad you showed Arkansas love by showing us in a lot of clips. Even if we were getting scored on. Most of the people just forgot about Arkansas even though we’re a big school and an elite program
Arkansas has a very elite basketball program. I think this year team will make a deep run in March Madness. Arkansas always had a good basketball program but I think Coach Cal will make it even better.
Living in Kansas, I have experienced excellent basketball of all different type of levels. Of course you have a school that is an elite blue-blood like Kansas but also a very good mid-major in Wichita State. Even Wichita State's facilities are amazing. D-II wise in Kansas is very high-level basketball (MIAA) and there are schools like Fort Hays State they have very nice facilities. NAIA wise again there's some very competitive basketball. Sure there's someone like Bethel College who may not have absolutely amazing facilities, but have great game day environments, and even have had players transfer up to D-1 from there. It is still good basketball. The measurable of the kids may not be the same as the upper levels, but it's not much different than D-II like mentioned in the video. Lastly Juco Basketball in Kansas is a pretty big deal. The National Juco basketball tournament is played in Hutchinson and they have D-1 type facilities. The defending national champions in Barton CC have nice facilities, but maybe not like Hutch. But they've had a lost success through the years with a lot of high major players. Even had a kid drafted straight out of Barton to the NBA as a lottery pick one season. All in all these kids at all these various levels still play a very high level of basketball. Even at the NAIA level most of the kids are not chumps.
as a person who's been a on and off fan of the NBA for a long while and is now just getting into college basketball, this was a helpful video. we need one for womens basketball next
I am a huge fan of college basketball!! College players play a lot harder than NBA players to me. Which makes the game more entertaining to watch. I will add women's college basketball to my list. What is your favorite NBA and College team?
I know it isn't where most top high school recruits are looking to play basketball, but out of the 350+ DI schools in the NCAA, the 8 teams of the IVY League are ALL student athlete, there are NO athletic scholarships given, but many of these athletes are on full academic scholarships, so while they can talk full rides at that level, its because of academics, and not the athletics. Dedicate yourself to discipline in the classroom and on the court, and you could play at a prestigious school just as much as you can play at the schools commonly on ESPN or getting top NCAA tournament seeds. Just depends on where you want your basketball career to take you beyond your playing days.
You can 110% play at the college level. But you are going to have to want it really bad. There are A lot of players that want to play in college just like you. So when you are playing in your games keep that in mind. Go get what's yours!
Yessir what he said skill work day and focus on power and plyometric work even more than weight lifting!!! that will give you the atheltic edge over competition and skill work on the court daily
JUCO really make you question whether or not you love basketball, it’s not for the weak, only the strong survive and you got so many that end up performing at High Major D1s, example Dalton Knecht now in the league possible ROTY

@ I mean I ended up quitting basketball due to coaches but in terms of the camp yea it was worth it that coach I forgot his name but he’s really good and the players worked with u too honestly it was very worth it!
Yes there are some very good D3 basketball players. I mentioned that D3 players balance school more than A D1 and a D2 players, which is true. And that's because D3 players aren't on Athletic scholarships. Since players aren't on Athletic scholarship they don't dedicate as much time as D1 and D2 players. But like I said there are some very good D3 players and teams that can compete at a higher level!

The information you have about D2 schools is not entirely accurate. D2 schools award FULL scholarships and in addition to partial scholaships. I know from firsthand experience.
Great video maybe do something like working in d1,d2's experience
2:41 bro 31s cut is insane wtf 😭🙏🏾🙏🏾💔💔
10/10 video my guy
Preciate that my guy!
as a person who's been a on and off fan of the NBA for a long while and is now just getting into college basketball, this was a helpful video. we need one for womens basketball next
I am a huge fan of college basketball!! College players play a lot harder than NBA players to me. Which makes the game more entertaining to watch. I will add women's college basketball to my list. What is your favorite NBA and College team?
@@BALLOUTBASKETBALL1 I'm a fan of the bucks, and duke is looking pretty good rn so im riding with them.
@ those are solid picks 👍
Good Job on this video!
thanks for this
No problem, Thank you for watching!
I definitely want to play college basketball after high school I’m a freshman rn and I have a game on Thursday
You can 110% play at the college level. But you are going to have to want it really bad. There are A lot of players that want to play in college just like you. So when you are playing in your games keep that in mind. Go get what's yours!
@ thank you bro
Yessir what he said skill work day and focus on power and plyometric work even more than weight lifting!!! that will give you the atheltic edge over competition and skill work on the court daily
Everytime you catch the ball , make sure you look at the rim

very informative video, thank you
JUCO really make you question whether or not you love basketball, it’s not for the weak, only the strong survive and you got so many that end up performing at High Major D1s, example Dalton Knecht now in the league possible ROTY
Low Major D1- HBCU
Unlike Football. A D2 Basketball team. Can pull an upset over a D1 if they 🔥🔥
I agree, I think you will see more d2 beat more d1 teams in basketball. It’s just so much talent at all levels!
@BALLOUTBASKETBALL1 High School is the same. I saw 1A schools in the middle of nowhere. Knock off inner city 6A Powerhouses.
If you good no matter level what level you on in college you still can play proffessional basketball
Can’t forget the 3C2A California JUCOs.
Hey can you talk about the puma cuircuit I know it’s new and hasn’t been around but I’ve seen it all over social media
Thanks for watching. I already did a video about the Puma circuit. Its called "DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO PLAY IN THE PUMA PRO16 BASKETBALL LEAGUE"
Nice Informative video bro
As a louisville fan i love you showed a clip of louisville. Not one person gives louisville love. Thats why i just wanted to say louisville is ( taditinaly) a high level school. I did not like seeing UK in the vid lol. I think you should do a vid on louisville or the riveraly between louisville and UK (please). Anyway amazing vid keep it up.🎉
I was talking about the first clip the second one you did not need to show buddy! Good vid still.
Also please hart comment and respond
Louisville is a great school! They haven't been having the best seasons lately but hopefully they turn it around soon. Who is your fav Louisville player of all time?
Great Video
Thanks for this video. I learned something today! #NewSub
very interesting video!
I coached NAIA and d3 bball!!
At 4:32 Where My Boa Cam Got The Oop Was A Low/Mid Major D1 School West Georgia
Thanks for pointing that out! I appreciate it.
Can you give some examples of NBA prospects that were drafted from these tiers?
Ayee Mount Union I went to several of their basketball camps when I was younger!
Mount Union basketball program recruit a lot of good players. Was the camp worth it?
@ I mean I ended up quitting basketball due to coaches but in terms of the camp yea it was worth it that coach I forgot his name but he’s really good and the players worked with u too honestly it was very worth it!
JUCO is the new prep school.
D3 players are hoopers. They dont just focus on school. Have to disagree
D3 should receive scholarships in my opinion because regardless playing a sports takes time & resources.
thanks this gave me insight on what the difference is from all of these other than the obvious level from d 1 d 2 d 3 naia juco also remember this you can always join the g leauge i think after colledge ngl i think when i get a colledge d1 scholarship playing basketball at d1 will be fun but ngl i need d1 cus the rest ima have to focus on school too much i can focus on school but knowing me ima get tired of doing all those essays lol but not saying im lazy and stuff but yea that why i wanna do d1 cus i can focus on basketball my real major instead of having to make sure i get all a+ just to play on a low level colledge team plus custom shoes and stuff is W btw im 16 annd 6'6 and in 11th grade i can get a and b if i wanna but its just the idea of colledge and having homework still 🤣 like colledge lowkey good for me cus all i gotta do is do a lecture ig and answer tests which is like one of my classes and i just gotta study so thanks to God it wont be that bad especially when i go to d1
Go get that D1 scholarship!! It's not going to be easy but you can do it. Do you play AAU basketball?
@@BALLOUTBASKETBALL1 infact thank god recently i expressed how i felt about not being on a basketball team and that it was the reason i was getting bad grades long story short last sunday i went to a practice for the team ima more than likely going to be on so most definatly i wasnt playing before but now i will be i left my last team cus they were not serious basketball yk but this is a good team in my eyes and from the practice we did before i can tell the coach actually knows how to play basketball so stuff workin out so far just gotta figure out how to land better in basketball cus its really the only thing making me get hurt now cus i learned why my knee feels sore and sharp pain when i bend it as if im doing a landing on a one foot dunk its always cus i used to and kinda still do land straight leged on one foot dunks im apparently supposed to bend my knees but i still dont know how to fix my big toe joint hurting when i bend it and paining when i land i cant have that cus when that happens it makes me not wanna jump high for a good bit i cant have that during a real game
Where do you think Usports Basketball (Canada's version of the NCAA) ranks in the levels of basketball?
Around D2 level maybe low major D1 at the top levels. The football I would say is comparable to about D2 at the top to NAIA at the bottom
so if I understood your video correctly the ranking of the biggest university championships down to the smallest is NCAA D1 NCAA D2 NCAA D3 NAIA and JUCO?
My bro plays for Uab he’s a walk on in a mid major made march madness last uear
8:34 LETS GO ELIJAH MALONE
3:15 the ref: 🧑🏽🦯
Proud d2 football player.... SPC
People be sleeping on D2 sports, everyone wants to go D1. I salute you bro, I know D2 is legit!
How about the Nccaa
I will be making a video about the NCCAA in the future!
It’s possible to make it to any level of college basketball I was a average hooper and made it on William Penn University JV (a NAIA D1) basketball team on a partial scholarship and got recruited by them off a my Courtside films mixtape but I had to red shirt my freshman year with the team but coming into my sophomore year I left the program and the school entirely because i didn’t want to pursue my education anymore or my hoop dreams haven I not stop I felt like i could’ve probably play ball overseas but overall I’m just saying if you practice hard and get yourself out there you can make it somewhere after highschool if you really want to hoop for real js 🤷🏽♂️
Well damn, I’m a sophomore n my mom forgot to get my physical so I had to miss tryouts for basketball this yr, n idk if I’m able to get exposure at Kell highschool I’m gonna be a junior next yr, do I have any chance on making it to the next level?
I played in a Rec League. Where would I be on this list?
There are some good rec leagues out there but you would be at the bottom of this list. Im going to make a video talking about the rec leagues.
The information you have about D2 schools is not entirely accurate. D2 schools award FULL scholarships and in addition to partial scholaships. I know from firsthand experience. In smaller markets around the country there are D2 games broadcasted on local television channels as well. Other than that, your information is accurate.
You need to make sure your information is coming from credible sources. I and some of my teamates played 4 years at D2 schools and I promise you I recceived 4 years of full athletic scholarships. Your source of information is wrong. I played at Cal State Los Angeles (LaVar Ball U). I know what I am talking about. Please get your facts straight.
keep it up
I appreciate that!!
W vid ❤
I appreciate that!
@@BALLOUTBASKETBALL1 Your next video should be like the levels of highschool basketball. Like public, private, prep, ote or something like that
Damn no UNC??
people do your research on NAIA because transferring to Ncaa is a pain in the butt
What about UCLA, is it a good college with all the stuff and training that d1 would get plus a good chance of going pro?
Lmaoooooo wtf
Yes UCLA is a great school who produce a lot of Pro basketball players!
NAIA has 2 divisions, D1 and D2.
Good vid but it’s the reason of the 350 D1 schools the same teams keep winning and the rest lose every-time…When I played NAIA D1 we had D1 schools cancel games because they knew they couldn’t beat us…I tell athletes/parents don’t choose a program because of status choose where your kid will make the biggest impact…you have something we didn’t have you have social media, a camera phone and a good seat with a steady hand you don’t need tv anymore
Only if I had the right help I would have went to one
Not my neph Nate in the caption 😊
What’s the NCCAA that’s what Julian Newman is playing rn
National Christian College Athletic Association
I’m gonna be the first player to be drafted off of gym and park play
It’s D1, juco, d2, naia and d3
4:32 Samfords not d2
Go watch a small college basketball game. They're way more talented than you would expect.
i mess with this i play at a D3 school
I appreciate it. Lots of people think D3 is a walk in the park. But real hoopers know that there are elite hoopers at the D3 level!
Some D2 players get full athletic scholarships.
@@bobbyyounger5499 you are 100% correct. It’s just rare for a d2 basketball player to be on a full athletic scholarship. But yes it is possible. It’s normally (D1 = full ride) (D2 = partial) (D3 = no scholarship). Thanks for your comment!
Where’s the NCCAA? Not NCAA, but NCCAA where Julian Newman plays at now.
Tbf it’s not a main level. He also left out USCAA so I think it was just the main ones.
NCCAA is National Christian college athletic association. NCAA is National Collegiate Athletics Association. Hoped this help
@@X09_S-M I think they were asking why it is not in the video.
I am planing to make a separate video talking about the NCCAA. You like Julian Newman?
💯🎯🔥
Taller and more bigger 4:26
I also caught that.
He also says the D3 seasons are more shorter later on in the video 😂
I watched Trine play in the D3 Championship and I was shocked😮 at how much better they were then highschool athletes
lol Alabama????? you meant Duke, Kentucky, Kansas, and North Carolina
NORTH TEXAS MEMTIONED
Disprect to UNC and Kansas. Alabama will never be the top-four team
d3 is 100x better academics than d2, and many d3 schools could beat d2 schools
You are 100% correct there are some D3 schools who can beat some D2 schools.
Repent before it’s to late Jesus loves you
Lol Alabama?! Football yea basketball hard no
Not mentioning UConn at all proves you don't know ball
I said the same when he didn't mention North Carolina
dude do some more research
