  • In this video, I’m going over the parts and the upgrades from my Sig P320 to the Sig P320 xCompact. You get some bonuses of seeing how this firearm is dissembled and assembled; in case there are some who are somewhat intimidated by handling their own firearm.
    -
Firearms are clearly unloaded from start to finish, Mag inserted towards the end but noticed I didn’t rack the slide back to put one in the chamber; for you safety patrols out there.
    -
Last thing I want to do is get a magwell, change out the stock trigger for the flat trigger, and also add a tungsten weight to see what the difference in performance would be when shooting.
    -
Really enjoy shooting this gun. I’ve probably ran close to 4500rds so far in this Sig, and I have not experienced any issues.
    -
Hope you guys enjoy the video and remember: T.errible I.sn’t P.ermanent.

Man I wish Sig would make a 3.9" P320 XCompact. That would be my ideal P320. I know you could build it with parts or start from a discontinued XCarry/standard P320 Compact and add parts from there, but that's more money and time you have to invest in it. To me it makes no sense to release a 3.6" XCompact when a P365xl and P320 Compact exists.
Anyways great video and ingenuity on getting your light to fix. Really emphasizes some of the things you can do on a P320 that you can't on most other platforms. If for some reason you ever want a full trigger guard back, you can just pick up another grip module instead.

Exactly! I could just get another one!
You make some solid points. It is unnecessary. I thought the multitude of options that you have with the P320 from its modularity was a huge game changer..
they came out with the Legion, M17, M18.. 365.. the specter with the compensator, now this 22lr… I digress. Idk if it’s a similar business model like with what Apple does.. releasing the same product with minimal changes but i can definitely see that playing on certain people who feel like they have to keep upgrading or getting the ‘new best thing’.
I get it though.. especially from a business standpoint. It did kind of irk me when I got my P320c.. the xCompact came out shortly after.. only reason why I made the change was bc my p320 was bone stock. Nothing.

Simple solution buy a proper fitting light

That was considered for sure.. but my set up (OWBs/IWB) was centered around the weapon light that I already spent money on lol can you imagine having to mail back a grip module, and three OWB holsters? Considering how long it took to receive them in the mail to begin with? Finding a way to make it work was a better solution 😅 and it works.

The lights usually come with different set up pieces. You can move the light forward or back using the little different size adapters it comes with.

The world is full of foolish people, who do foolish things. “My setup was centered around the weapon light that I already spent money on lol…” that’s the justification. Gonna just say it…not the smartest man in the room.

What Taran tactical mag extensions do you have for the xcompact? And also if you are running the xcompact without the light, what is a good low profile IWB holster you recommend?

I’m running the +3/5 base pad extension. I have a video of me installing it which goes into more detail.
I’d recommend Tier1concealed IWB, but that’s because I prefer to carry appendix. I’d say experiment with different positions and see how you feel about drawing from those positions.

Would the C slide, barrel, and guide rod spring work on the X compact module? @terrible shooter

      No

Why would you want to put that slide on the xCompact grip module? Is it already cut for an optic? Also, if you want to put a magwell, it will not fit the xCompact grip module. (The low profile magwell that is on Sig Sauer website).
