Where does the stainless steel bracket mount? It is shaped like a squared off “S” or a squared off “Z” and has two screw holes - - appreciate any thoughts!
I installed the hitch but my original sensor stoped working now! I am not sure if the antenna are place to far apart from each other! I have no idea how to make it work again! The system doesn’t seem picking up when I try to kick under the rear bumper. Do I have bad sensor now!
Thank you for making this video. Two questions please: the video shows you have to cut out a hole for the hand free sensor. Does the bumper has a line to show where to cut out? Secondly, could you please list out the part numbers of all of the parts that you bought? My car has a hand free liftgate so I need to buy the right parts. Thanks again for the instruction.
When I installed that wiring harness exactly the same way, my hand free function stopped working. And I had not even started installing the hitch. Why is that?
Since kick function stoped working with the harness anyway, when my hitch arrived I installed it and completely pulled the kick module, threw it on a shelf and tie wrapped the wire. Had it still worked, I would have relocated the control box and made it work. Acura really poorly engineered this compared to the two previous generations.

I cant find the parts anywhere and the dealer wants 738.27 just in parts.

Please provide the part numbers you used. So you kept the original kick sensor and relocated it?
The part was ordered from the dealer for exact model. The kick sensors you can order from dealer too that will fit with the hitch.
Did you have to replace the “kicker” hand free sensor? I understand that the original sensor won’t work with the hitch
Is this available for the 2020 mdx
@@pdiddy2023 It will work, you will need to cut the middle part of the sensor plastic holder. He does it in the video
