Thank you for the part numbers on the kit - this is perfect for adding a cooler-carrier or extra cargo without throwing stuff up top and damaging the pano roof. I used to live up there and laughed out loud when you said to torque it dahn! $350 in parts beats what the dealer quoted me to add the kit, and this looks easy. Great video.
Good video! One thing I wanted to say was that the hitch receiver cap that has the Acura logo, it probably would not be a bad Idea to paint the logo silver to maybe match the emblems on the MDX itself. I was just mainly saying that so you could probably see it better rather then it being black and not being able to see it very easily
Hey PiPs, that is definitely a nicely designed kit. You should follow through with that wire harness kit though. BTW - what was your COST on that hardware from the Acura parts dept. ? 💰.🔍. Many Thanks Yo ! 👍
Hi there. The relocation kit for the door kick sensor…. Did that come with the hitch or trim part you ordered? We have then advanced package so I’m going to need to deal with that…. Thanks
Would you mind sharing links to all the components you got from?I cant seem to find fascia and the hitch you have with pre mounted mount for wiring. great install though.Looks crisp🙂
Great work. I have been looking for the OEM part number for the hitch but seems to be hard. Can you please add the P/N for the kit you have? Thanks again and great work
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS Man I could have sworn I posted it here somewhere yesterday. Anyway, do you know the part # for the pin harness I'd need for a '23 MDX A-Spec w/o tailgate foot sensor thing (we don't have that and do not want it). Trying to figure out the correct harness number is impossible on some of these OEM Acura parts sites.
@@Pens4Life85 I believe this is it. 08L91-TYA-200. They probably only make 1 harnesses and if you don’t have the sensor, you just don’t connect that plug.
@@PIPSBURGHVIEWS I've been spending lots of time here. Looks like I need to buy a hitch, a shaped plastic hitch cover, a hitch harness, a hitch ball mount, and a hitch ball. Most of the OEM parts sites want like $180-$200 for shipping. That is simply outrageous.
Nice.installation video. I really like the color.of.your MDX.
Thanks 👍
Super clean install.. looks factory. Nice job!
Thanks! 👍

Lol, thanks for watching! It was easy, I think the dealer charges $600+ total.
Quoted me just over $1k. Obviously passed
At what point did he note the needed part numbers????
Thanks brother!

Rim it up Brian. Make it look goooooood (-;
I may have to start shopping!
Looks Great, it needs a Pipsburgh Views logo hitch cover!
Good idea!

Thanks for watching John! Employee cost was $295 total.
You made that look a lot easier to do than it would actually be if I tried it.😂 l love the color. Is this a lease or did you buy?
Well, it’s definitely easier with a lift but you could totally do it. We bought this one, hoping to keep it till the wheels fall off.

Brian. What in the world are those, tuna can looking, exhaust things on each side before the exhaust tips?
Not sure why manufacturers feel the need to put these on ever new car but this is better than the fake exhaust look in the German vehicles.
Buy any chance do you have parts numbers for the hitch and the panel Thanks Kim

When I put my factory hitch on my 22 MDX A Spec did not require lowering he spare tire. Was there a reason for dropping the spare tire?
It just makes it a little easier
Are there nuts on the other side of those screws? If not, did you/should you add Threadlocker on those bolts to keep them in place?
No nuts. The frame has threaded inserts. While loctite wouldn't hurt, I have never had a problem not using it. Thanks for watching
What is the torque specs for the screws of the hitch?
i think he said 18MM
Hi - what is the height from the ground to the top of the receiver ball mount?
16" to the top of the receiver
Long time no see. I hope you are well.
It's good to be back David!
