I would have cut off some beard hair and tied it on to make a maribou jig and would have used just the weight of the safety pin instead of a rock. we love your videos.
This is the kind of place where I like to do guerilla gardening. I'd sneak into wild spaces like this and plant edibles that are local to the area. Blueberries, raspberries, pear trees squash plants. Ect. I transplanted a wild fig tree that although not native to the pacific northwest was still 3 years old or so on its own before. Plucked it off the side of a trail and moved it where local wildlife would be able to enjoy it more..
28:10 Love that Bible verse❤ I was going though hard times and needed something to help and I opened my Bible to the book of James. A higher force was definitely showing that to me because that book is small and exactly what I needed. The odds that it was a coincidence are extremely small.
My girlfriends mom got us that pan and while I was incredibly skeptical at first I have grown to seriously love it. Best nonstick I've ever use. Downside is that its an incredibly uncomfortable handle.
You have enough safety pins to make an excellent treble hook... in fact, you were more than halfway there! Twist three more safety pins upside down just above the hooks. The idea is to have it function just about like a snap clip carabiner. Since the Spring Loop is already made in the safety pins, this should be easy enough to accomplish. It may even help to keep the hook more weedless too! Goodonya and happy adventuring!
Thanks for adding that Folgers Coffee part of the video! Raw Truth! That was the best part, it reminded me of the Alone Season you were in. Thanks again.

Lol
“ I feel sorry for him but he’s going to catch me my dinner”
Ok I will use that statement for when I’m stuck on a island!
"We can live without the duck tape" duck tape boat: "ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT"
Yep when took a as seen on tv fry pan over duct tape...some colorful words came out of my mouth. SMDH 🥺
Seeing how difficult it was for him to get his feet out of the kayak he's probably lucky the thing didn't sink and pull him under.
Hahaha 🤣
From quoting James to quoting The Little Mermaid. This is what I love about Fowler!
Hey brother, I needed that scripture. It hit to the heart. I appreciate your prayer and spirituality
24:42. The amazing sounds of a *Loon Call* must be one of my Minnesota brethren!
Weed?
@@alekswhy88 why would I plant weed out in the wild? It's legal to grow, smoke and possess here and I don't smoke it anyhow.
@@ryanmcewen415 😄eh who knows. To have a complete garden on a personal oasis for camping
@@alekswhy88 island like this would be a great little retreat/fishing spot. Adding an apple tree or something would just be icing on the cake.

Absolutely PAINFUL for my skinny fingers!
Fishing hook hack: The tab from an aluminum can notched out at the end
I really enjoy watching you, u are the epitome of a happy man. I would love to join u on a trip if it were to happen in Canada
Wow, just started watching you again recently. Congrats on 1.5 million .
You need to heat up those safety pins when you get them in your hook shape then quench them in the water makes them harder so they dont bend so much
Here is your next song Zach, " Lord wont you catch me a fish for dinner; my friends all eat pizza, and ain't getting no thinner!" 🎣🎶🎶
Determination is strong, I respect you dude
What an absolute joy it is to watch your videos! So pure and wholesome yet so entertaining and funny. Really makes me happy, easiest sub of my life! Thank you for your content and beautiful to see how appreciative and positive you are even in frustrating circumstances. :D
At 34:24 a massive spider behind your left shoulder decided to come cuddle with you 😅 looks like you made it through just fine lol
should have got a can of soda or something and use the tab as a hook ;)
I don't think he brought a multi tool. He should have allowed it
Use a piece of wood and sharpen both ends and use as a hook.
Now while I'm at work at dollar general I'm gonna be stocking shelves and thinking about what I'd need to survive
Ours has a knock off swiss army knife 🤣.
