What about "if you right hand causes you to sin cut it off, it is better to lose a member then for your whole body to be thrown into Hell." It takes work to cut off the things in life that causes you to sin
Jesus isnt asking you to work, but rather to change your mind about thise things. Just like faith isnt a work, having an opion isnt either. You need to submit those things to God and have faith that He will empower you to remove those things
@@mk4630 yeah, I've heard that and I believe it. But it just doesn't make sense to me why Jesus would warn a believer that their sin could cause them to go to Hell. It's not a "once saved always saved debate" but a "how to stay saved debate". 20 years and I'm still stuck on this, and this is just the tip of the ice berg for my view on this. I could write a book on my stress over this
@glershnern5300 I explained though that Jesus isn't telling us that our sin will lead us to hell. It is rather our choice whether to submit our life to God or not that decides this. God will give you the strength and tools to cut off that arm but all you have to do is agree that He is right and that you need to cut it off.

What stands out to me in the said passages of Gal 1:3-5 is that which is unspoken in the presentation. The words grace and peace are stated once...whereas who God is?... is repeated. 'God our Father' and 'God and Father'. What should be noted is that the title of Christ?... is Lord. [meaning supreme in authority from the Greek word kurios] Granted, this title is also given to our Father, since both the Father and Son share the title kurios. Whereas, in the salutations of all of the letters of Paul... the title of God [theos]? Is not ever shared... It is only particular... to our Father. This video title includes 'The glory of'... and yet is quiet on verse 5 that proclaims the glory is?... to the Father. Sadly, The presenter is silent on the core of Gal 1:3-5.
Grace sounds easy, but if you have to repent of your sins before Jesus will save you, that is effectively law-keeping. Repentance is going from loving sin to hating it which will manifest in obedience, which is law-keeping. Jesus said to repent and believe the gospel. That means, quit your sin mentally and physically and believe in who He is and what He will do (now it's has done). So if I love pornography, I have to hate it and delete it. If I love erotic fantasies about real or imaginary women, I have to hate it and quit it. If I love the bare shoulders, collars, back, chest, abdomen, and upper legs of women, I have to hate it and see these parts of them as disgusting and love non-revealing clothing. And most people will go to hell because they want to enjoy their sins, to which Jesus will say to them 'Depart from me, you workers of LAWLESSNESS'. You will only get grace once you promise to hate and quit sin and to love obedience. You cannot get any closer to law-keeping than that. Look at what happened to the rich young man. He did not want to obey Jesus when commanded to give up his money, and went away crying because he knew he would go to hell. The only laws you do not have to keep are the ritual and dietary laws. The moral laws which are difficult to keep, are still required. Repentance is difficult but required. Grace, belief, and faith all require repentance, obedience, and lawfulness. If you truly believe, your actions would obey. Salvation from hell has always been about obeying God and this is the theme of every book from Genesis all the way to Revelation, except the Song of Solomon (which should be seen as an illustration of God's love for His people in a non-erotically passionate manner).
You speak of incarnation but you never mention the threat Jesus would’ve been under if your political views had held sway back then. Mary was 14. Unmarried. If she had access to abortion, legal and safe, there is a high probability that it would’ve taken more than a visit from Gabriel to keep her from the abortionist’s table. But you will ignore this. You live in a dream world wherein you can say whatever you want without personal consequence. With the expanse of your audience, this is a tragedy.
