The mildy explicit parts of the Song of Solomon may not actually have anything to do with illustrating God's love for us after all. Pastor John said that the unwavering love between a husband and wife is the essence of marriage, not sexual intercourse. Marriage is the only place where sexual intercourse is allowed but it is not the main thing. In heaven, men and women do not marry or remain married to each other, so there is no sexual intercourse, childbearing, or the desire or ability for these things. The non-erotic love between men and women will continue because marriage is not required for this type of love. The same non-erotic love that husbands and wives love each other with in marriage is the love that Apostle Paul told husbands to love their wives with and the one that Jesus commands us to have for everyone regardless of marital status. This is how God's love is, which is the real love. And it is this love that will be had within the marriage to Jesus, which is our eternal union with Him. It will not involve or permit nakedness or sexual intercourse, but it is the enjoyment of His love and the beauty of His spirit and it will be better than erotic love and beauty. So we will love every same and opposite sex person better than erotic love and beauty because we will be like God and love and be beautiful like He is. Dr Sean May said that earthly marriage is no longer needed in heaven because we will have fellowship with everyone and because God will dwell in us intimately. So it is the non-erotic togetherness and non-erotic beauty of everyone and God that is the real love and beauty, not nakedness and sexual intercourse. And the non-revealing clothed beauty will be better than revealing or erotic beauty because there is no earthly marriage in heaven, and nakedness without earthly marriage is unrighteous, and we will see it as unrighteous like how God sees it. God also portrays nakedness as bad even when using marriage as an illustration in Ezekiel, so nakedness is something inherently bad but He had to temporarily allow it for reproduction. So it seems like although sexual intercourse and erotic things are allowed within earthly marriage, they are not the illustration of the marriage to Jesus like the non-erotic parts are.
If nakedness was inherently wrong, God wouldn't have created Adam and Eve naked. Remember, they were only giving clothes after they sent and betrayed God. The reason it's not good to go into public naked nowadays is because of lust and people that sexualize the body.
John, what are you planning for the 2024 election? Are you planning a piece wherein you proclaim the sanctity and purity of your calling and then go ahead and sully that calling with stupid political analysis? Democrat leaning? Like in 2020? The results were disastrous.
