Well he’s not underrated only here in America but around the rest of the world he is considered One of the greats definitely top three number one for me.
Glad you choosing lots of dedp purple. My reguest is for you to put on those beadphones on andtake a wild trip with space trucking live from made in japan. 5 musicians and the top of their games jamming an encore like no one else. Driving none stop drums 4 20 minues. Th3 great jon lord doing what only he could do. Sounds you didnt even were possible. Slick guitar played with violin bow. Just close your eyes and alter ur minds!
Good reaction. Excellent band. If you want to hear some insane drumming check out Deep Purple The Mule live in Copenhagen Denmark 1972 the 9 min. 50 second video.
tommy bolin was in deep purple he then went on to james gang with joe walsh then his own music please check out post toastee from tommy bolin"s private eyes album . also had an album called teaser you will not ever regret listening to him playin his guitar riffs he was a master of his guitar
I got into music thru drumming, and very few songs are more amazing than this one. Glad I got to see Ian Paice play live despite them being generations before my time.
You know this was such a magical album because it was recorded with the Rolling Stone mobile unit it was recorded up in Montreux Switzerland of all places that was Four Winds Frank Zappa did that concert in the theater caught on fire that's what I wrote that song Smoke on the Water of course but anyway so yeah my brother used to have this on a track he would be in his 69 Kingswood estate and we be Jammin down LaBrea and Justice Just blast and were smoking up hash oil pipe just getting ripped and going to work on the weekend because you know we're still in high school oh yeah man that shows how old we were because we're listening to 8 tracks you probably never even seen one of those Rihanna speak car treats in it you just goes in this tape player that's a whole another story anyhow man yeah you probably already done Highway Star but if you haven't all you're in for a treat all right my man that was a badass reaction
There isn’t a bad song on this album 💜 It’s pure fire 🔥 I have this one in my collection. Bought it back when albums were $3.99!!! I think I like the original fade better 😉
This is the original version this album was remastered by bassist Roger Glover for its 25th anniversary from the master tapes he just let them play out the way they did in the recording of the songs so you get the whole song listen to Highway star from the remastered album there’s actually a beginning of what you’re used to hearing from the original album with Blackmore strumming on his guitar quickly before it goes into it.
Check out their song-Rat Bat Blue. You might be the first to react to that one. Tough tune. Your comments on this music is pretty knowledgeable. You know when it's good.
This whole album Machine Head is a rock and roll icon. They put down so many great song on one record. You should do an album review. This was my first album purchased in the early 70s.
Actually it was Led Zeppelin who first leased the 720 jetliner from Contemporary Entertainment in 1973 as depicted in the movie "The Song Remains The Same". They dubbed it The "Starship". Deep Purple leased the plane in 1974.
This song is just so much damn fun!! Gotta hear _Speed King,_ too. By some accounts, it could be considered the first speed metal song. Speed King (1970) - ua-cam.com/video/lIHh1T3SQyE/v-deo.html
The "Made in Japan" Live version is awesome. Well, that whole album...💥❤️🔥
Love Deep purple! Ian Gillans voice is magic!
Ian Paice is a phenomenal drummer, I`ve seen him live many times and he never disappoints.
He's why I picked up a pair if sticks almost 40 yrs ago.
Ian Paice on drums is awesome. I think he's very underrated
Well he’s not underrated only here in America but around the rest of the world he is considered One of the greats definitely top three number one for me.
Love that classic tune! C'mon!!!
That was a great time! Thank you, Pope
Wish you were around for a lot of these bands when they did this stuff live I'm glad I grew up during those times amazing music
What a track kickass and melodic and the drums kill it.
Love the constant backbeat makes you bouncing between the walls *boing-boing*
Good lord! thanks for reacting to that song! Reminds me my teenage years. God bless!

Solid reaction to the band I grew up with!! 😀

Ian Paice is a monster on the drums.
My Best Friend, and our two best gals riding around in his Camaro high on Some good Colombian grass! Ahhhhh memories! 😎
In Seattle it was $10 for a four-finger lid
I should make clear that was Mexican weed. Colombian was fifty bucks.
If you didn't own this album you were real square man. Brilliant album
Hell yesssssss

I think everyone had this album.
I got into music thru drumming, and very few songs are more amazing than this one. Glad I got to see Ian Paice play live despite them being generations before my time.
Bad ass, never heard that ending before! Must be a new remastered re-mix. Awesome Pope! 💜
Right. I'm used to the fade-out. It sounded like a different mix also.
Correct it’s the remastered version of the original album this whole album was remastered by bassist Roger glover songs play out instead of fade.
I think he's listening to the "original" recording...not "as released" recording. Try listening to Smoke on the Water "original"...it's a trip
i remember this version because its the one used in Rock Band 2
Awesome! Speed king is another purple classic that would wipe you out…

I recommend you "CHILD IN TIME" Made in Japan album version (but the whole album is a gem.) ENJOY!
Man those cats can really swing
irst band to have their own private 727 jetliner to tour
Actually it was Led Zeppelin who first leased the 720 jetliner from Contemporary Entertainment in 1973 as depicted in the movie "The Song Remains The Same". They dubbed it The "Starship". Deep Purple leased the plane in 1974.
Great reaction!!!!
thank you!!
Oh man! Wish you had done the live performance from the Made in Japan album. Hope you check it out some time.
This song is just so much damn fun!! Gotta hear _Speed King,_ too. By some accounts, it could be considered the first speed metal song.
