Interesting factoid: When the Catholics were trying to convert Norse pagans they took Christmas from Yule, and Odin’s role for Saint Nicholas (aka the original inspiration for Santa Claus for the protestants) each of the reindeer represents a leg on Sleipnir that Odin would ride.
