Wow, the sheer amount of bravery it takes to do an impression of Robert De Niro, in front of the man on live television (and De Niro liked it).
I got nervous and I didn't even have to do it 😂😭
De Niro was in just looking at his own expression on Tom Hiddleston's face! It's just wild watching TH do this.
De Niro would be intimidating for sure since he's such an icon for so many people but he did say he enjoys hearing impressions and he liked Tom's impression of him. Tom was totally nerding out in front of De Niro and it was obvious the level of respect he had for him

The Chris Evans ones he did were fucking dead on, it sounds scary actually if you close your eyes and not looking at the video lol
His voices are pretty good, but he nails the body language, that is half the impression. Plenty of people can do impressions of a voice but he can actually impersonate how someone acts, pretty cool
Now in the upcoming Loki series, he and Owen Wilson are gonna act together! That'll be hilarious!

He's talented, he's smart, he's funny, he's extremely calm and sweet. He's someone so inspiring as a person and as an artist.
okay, that is one of the best Aussie accents I have heard coming out of a non-Aussie in a long time. Granted he is British and the aussie accent is based on theirs but it's just so accurate. no brief slips back into British. It's also a uncannily dead-on soundalike for Hemsworth. he could literally pick up the phone and answer in this accent and people would think it was Hemsworth.

The impressions are just a side talent? Just wow. I've been doing impressions since I was a very little kid. I was 7 the first time I went on stage and I was doing impressions of comedians I'd seen on tv shows back then. And no, I will not being telling which comedians either. You all know I"m old, just not HOW old and it's going to stay that way, LOL.
The point is I know how hard it can be to do them well and it requires doing the voices over and over again. Also, it helps me, and always has helped me, to add the facial expressions and body movements that the person does in life to get the voices to sound accurately too.
The thing that gets me about Hiddleston's impressions is memorizing the dialog that he does to make them absolutely spot on. Just astounding talent and incredibly hard work too.
Oh, best one? Doing Deniro in front of Deniro? Wow! Superb stuff, just superb.
Last thing. If you have not seen Hiddleston in The Night Manager yet, SEE IT! SEE IT NOW!
A hint is that Hugh Laurie is his co-star. Together, they're great in scenes playing off each other. It's an amazing story, then tossing those two, along with all of the other cast, just makes for a really great film. SEE The Night Manager, if you haven't already. Stay safe folks!
