en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Strange_(2016_film) had just come out, too; I assume this Nov 2016 Fallon appearance was to promote it. It's nice that corporate thought police don't bother the actors.
@Lisa Surlie I'm not sure if you're wondering why he didn't produce it, or if you just are trying to say it's not a very good film. Some of Benedict's work I love, and some of it I don't like as much. For me, that has more to do with script and production value than his ability.
@Lisa Surlie ok I see what you mean. I agree it's too bad about the distribution. Many actors do not choose to get into production and they do not fight with the producers over distribution. Depends on how the deal was written. If Benedict got a flat fee for the movie - it doesn't matter to him. But usually the star gets a fee, plus a percentage of theater profits. Studios producing the movie want to do whatever is most beneficial and convenient for them. Scarlett Johansson had a percentage deal... Disney said her movie would be in theaters only for an extended period of time, and they did not keep that deal. Disney thought they could get away with it - but she sued them and they agreed to compensate her. Just shows you what studios will do if they think they can get away with it.
@Lisa Surlie producing usually means putting the money up to finance the movie, and it includes the day-to-day things that have to be done - such as building a set, getting permits, hiring stunt people, and so forth. In some cases, the same person will create and write and produce the movie, maybe even star in it as well. But usually, the producer buys a script from a writer. Of course the writer gets credit for the screenplay.

Everyone’s saying “gyrating 0.5 mm away from the crime scene” was the best part, but I was literally crying laughing at “Where were you on the night of Hanukkah?”
This is still the best mad lib theater so far. Benedict's choice of words were hilarious, and he didn't even have to think that hard; they just came naturally. He also stayed in character and looked at Jimmy while delivering his lines. Other actors keep their eyes on the cue cards and say the lines flatly. Jimmy unable to contain his laughter and Benedict barely keeping it together was funny as well. Wish they'd make a part 2! 😻

Me: *dies of laughter from the whole video*
I never knew Jimmy Fallon was trans gender. But I'm not saying that's a bad thing, please don't get me wrong.
There aren't that many holidays that span multiple day, but he picked one and it made it even funnier! 🤣
Thanks for your continuous love and support ❤❤ how long have you been a fan of mine?
Ikr??? I laughed so hard at that. XD
"One of the best parts of being a detective-"
Me: a cONSULTING DETECTIVE?????
Ok yeah Ik I'm lame
Broadway baby no you're not I had the exactly same reaction
Same
Broadway Baby I literally thought the same thing lmao
I can't stop laughing since the "half a milimeter from the crime scene"
Such a happy thief xD cudn't wait till he got home. cud only wait half a milimeter.. had to get with the gyrating.
ME TOO!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I heard milliliter, which kinda made it funnier.
superanimecat indeed!!
superanimecat YOU ARE ABSOLUTLY RIGHT
John Cena's mad lib theater was also hilarious 😂
Benedict Cumberbatch had a good Boston accent!
superanimecat yea I have watched other ones and none of them are as funny as this one
“Badger” 😂 you little hufflepuff, I knew it 😂
That sudden change of accent when he realises he is to become an Ukrainian lol
“Where are you from?”
*”ukRRrraine.”*
No-one is talking like that.
a* not an
I absolutely lost it at that part lmao
Kay I know it is technically supposed to be an Ukrainian because you can't have a vowel at the end of one word and the beginning of another, but this sentence makes me hate the English language
"Where were you on the night of Hanukkah?"
"I was watching Superman!"
Wow, he must love Superman to watch for 8 nights.
god damn it u got me
Gelynn lol you won
I legit love how he counted it out too
Jimmy: "Exclamation?"
Benedict: "Fuck!"
That's exactly what I would say!
Jimmy: ‘name a movie title’
Benedict: **literally in the mcu** ‘uhhhh *superman* ‘
i mean this was before he was casted in any mcu iirc
@@thedwaynerailfans Not sure about that - Dr Strange started filming in 2015 and came out before this as well
