This song was written by Barry Gibb. He took his little brother under his wing and worked with him in the studio. The results were 3 number one hits for Andy.
Andy was 19 during that performance. He died at 30 yrs old in 1988. We have missed Andy ever since, such a talented , warm hearted person. He has a daughter Peta, from a short marriage. Damn those addiction's!
@@Julieroo28 So good to see "An Everlasting Love" getting some mentions. Incredibly underrated song, and I don't know if anyone has reacted to it. Love it.
When Andy was making albums, every girl from 10 years old to 30 had a crush on him. He wasn't huge like his brothers, but he and Barry were every girls fantasy boyfriend. 🤣🤣
Actually, Barry wrote this song either by himself in the early 70's. According to their website, it was when the Bee Gees seperated for a time and this song brought them back together. Andy passed away in late 80's.
Andy Gibb British brother of Barry Gibb didn't much look like his biggest brother Barry Gibb.. Maybe a little bit...... I've meet the Gibb British Brothers Maurice Robin Barry in Florida imams Beach.... Year late in 1976s....
Hi Angela I know how much you enjoy Andy Gibb music I have a very beautiful song from from Andy it's called our love don't trow it all away. Thank you for all the music that you bring to us Jesse Rodriguez
I remember the day that Andy Gibb died. I was at work and my supervisor’s husband called to tell us that he had died. He was born on March 5, 1958 and passed away on March 10, 1988, five days after his 30th Birthday. I always thought Andy favored Barry. As you probably know now, Robin and Maurice were fraternal twins. Yes, and he had a problem with cocaine, but he was clean when he died. RIP Andy Gibb
yeah about birth and death dates it usually happens, at least is quite frequent, see John Lennon and George Harrison's birth and death dates and you'll se both are separated by days.
Don't throw it all away, is another good song by Andy. You should do Andy's version, then the Bee Gees singing it as a tribute to their brother (who passed) in concert. Beautiful! Barry starts it then a film of Andy is put on a big screen behind them and finishes the song as the Bee Gees sing back up. Truly special.
I bet ha if Andy were to be alive right now she would be the first groups to throw her panties st him. What do ya' think? Just ask her and see if I am lying or not.
YOU are Light here to help humanity. Welcome to the fight sister. Keep shinning the light high so all your lost sisters and brothers will see their way thru.
Back in '78, my girlfriend at that time, dedicated this song and sang it for me at musical concert in High School. BTW, we've been married now for more than 40 years!!! Andy has a lot of talent and was very much like his older brother, Barry. This live version is good but much better audio versions exist.
Great how you reacted, dear. "Midnight Special" was a live jam TV show from the 70's. Of course, Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb, were the composers of this beautiful song, and all them were at the recording session on backing vocals of "Flowing Rivers" back in 1977, which features this tune along the another smash hit "Love is Thicker than Water" as well. So cool you appreciate all this true piece of master tunes. Thanks for that, and by the way, your musical intro is the coolest of all the reacting music people, I love it to much.
Angela, I would like to thank you for starting this channel. It's a breath of fresh air. And I'm glad I subscribed. I discovered music reaction videos about two years ago, and if I clicked on something to watch, it was always about the song, not so much the person doing the reacting. That was my thought process when I clicked on that first Bee Gees video (I forget which one now). But with you, I want to hear what you have to say about the song, maybe more than I want to hear the song per se, whether or not I'm familiar with it. It's as if I'm hanging out with a friend listening to tunes and sharing thoughts about the music (one of my favorite things to do). And as I said elswhere, I have a very different take on some songs after hearing/watching you comment on them: "Just the Way You Are," "Superstar," "Rainy Days and Mondays," and "Stayin' Alive." Before, I thought they were good songs, but not much more than that. This channel changed that. I think you get inside the songs a bit more, and that's different in my experience. I like it. I've made a few suggestions for songs, thinking you might like them. But I have one more that I believe (not just think) you'll like. It's "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Home Free, a cover of the Percy Sledge 1965 classic. They are a 5-man acapella group who won the 2014 "Sing Off" on NBC; I suggested one of their videos earlier. Give this a try, if you like; the vocals are killer, their beat boxer is killer and you almost forget there's no instruments. ua-cam.com/video/-pygPmfGQvU/v-deo.html
I just realized this is a duplicate suggestion. My apologies. To make up for that, here's a different one. It's Home Free's cover of "Folsom Prison Blues." ua-cam.com/video/IdYhgQbsdRs/v-deo.html
Best of the best! From all of the interviews I've seen with family and friends he was a very loving person and would do anything he could for people. Too loving for this world?
Andy was a teen idol. He was still a teenager when this song made him a worldwide sensation. Sadly, most teenagers aren't prepared to handle to be a worldwide sensation. He died at age 30, the consequences of long term cocaine addiction.
Hi Love your reactions! Andy was so cool. Please react to Dimash singing S.O.S. he is considered the greatest male singer on the planet today with a 6 1/2 octave range. Dimash is a outstanding talent and I know you and your subs will love it! @ Dimash has over 2 BILLION VIEWS for his videos!
You have to react to Andy Gibb and Victoria Principals duet…All I Have to Do Is Dream,. Absolutely beautiful love song…perfect harmony. They were actually a couple before Andy’s untimely death.
Please do some more Donna Summer. Fame, Someday. Stamp your Feet Macarthur Park, The Queen is Back, Love to Love You . Please please the world needs more Donna Summer! I loved your reaction to On the Radio!
Sounds like a Bee Gees song because Barry pretty much wrote all his songs. He told story about Barry booking a hotel room for them for a weekend so they could write some songs and how after 45 minutes he had a few lines down and Barrie had already "I Just want to be your everything" and was starting on the next one.
This dude had the ability to be huge. Gifted family with an overload of talent. Couldn't like Andy or the Bee Gees when I was a kid. If you liked them. you pretty much got your butt beat on a daily basis. It's kind of the reason I got heavy into rock music back in the later 70s as a kid.
Andy wasn't a part of the BGs, which were his 3 older brothers. Although Andy did tour with his brothers and learn the business and vocals as a backup singer.
It was so sad when he passed. Barry is alone now, the twins passed on several years apart. And when you watch early Bee Gees before Barry grew his beard you would think Andy was his clone.
Please check out the song "Rest your love on me" that Andy did with Olivia. It goes straight to my heart. I think the UNICEF version shows their voices in the best way. ❤
Hi, I really enjoy your reactions. What I'm going to say is with the intention of maybe making your videos even better, in my humble opinion. The videos of a group are in the lower left, which is fine but there are two different graphics, one is large and shaded, the other is smaller and white. I would like to see the video a bit larger with no graphics. The name of the group can maybe be top left. And no need for two, I'd drop the large shaded one, it seems too intrusive, try just the smaller white one. Your sincerity really comes through and I love that about your reactions. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for all you do! I really appreciate your sincere reactions. Please react to Morissette Amon on the Wish Bus covering Little Mix's "Secret Love Song". Thanks again. Cheers

"Shadow Dancin", "Love is Thicker Than Water", "Everlasting Love"(probably my favorite). Bee Gees did write several songs for him and with him.

Barry wrote, produced and probably sung backup.
The Bee Gees and their young brother Andy basically dominated the charts in the late 70s; it was just incredible!
When Andy was making albums, every girl from 10 years old to 30 had a crush on him. He wasn't huge like his brothers, but he and Barry were every girls fantasy boyfriend. 🤣🤣
Barry wrote this song for Andy and in the studio version Bee Gees sang back up. The talent in that family is unbelievable!
Barry wrote the song for Andy. He also wrote the song " how can you means a broken heart" after Andy died. RIP Andy had such a great voice.

Loved Andy Gibb. He was such a bright light. I wish that he could have stayed around longer💔
He sounded a lot like Barry, more so with his regular chest voice. If her were taller with brown hair they’d be twins! Mega talented family!
I always thought it was odd that the twins didn't look like each other but the eldest and youngest did.
