I lost my daddy 46yrs ago on Sept. 3rd,1978 when I was 8yrs old. I miss every memory I have of him. When I heard this song for the 1st time on father's day around the time it came out I had to pull over cuz I was bawling so hard. I told my then bf that I will be singing this at my wedding since he couldn't walk me down the aisle & dance with me. My brother made the walk with me and I sang this song for daddy.. I love Anita & shortly after I was diagnosed with stage 3-4 aggressive breast cancer. That was 22yrs ago. And yrs,later Anita fought it and won as well. Such a strong woman she is and I thank her for this song💕💕 Happy Heavenly Birthday Daddy!!

My Dad died this past Thursday, and his funeral is tomorrow. He and my Mom celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary last December. My Mom and I, along with many others, miss him terribly, and we will do our best to get on with our lives without him. The only thing about this that is comforting, is that my Dad is no longer sick and he is in Heaven with Jesus. Of course, we'd all love for our loved ones to be with us forever, but that's just not possible. If my Dad could come back from Heaven, even for just one day, it would be wonderful. But we just have to go on with our lives and know in our hearts that we'll see him and all of our other loved ones again someday. Love you, Dad.
