Old dude was pissed. I’m 38 and I’d of been cheering dude on after each attempt. I grew up watching skateboarding this would have been a breath of fresh air to witness.
88Zero I think I just need to give him a few pointers, and maybe they wouldn’t fall as much. Besides skaterboarders are the most intelligent people after all lol.
He lands the trick perfect and says “idk I felt weird about that one” then lands it again. My favorite is at about 7:30 when he lands the scariest rail perfectly then wipes the fuck out on a 2” curb.
What I love about Mason is you can tell he's having a fucking blast. It's so fun to watch Even most of the bails you can see him look up from the ground and laugh.
I can already imagine someone coming out for their smoke break, pulling out the phone to check Facebook, and casually leaning against the rail, shortly before going to the hospital.
8:30 holy shit I hadn't noticed how short the run in was for that gap. Pretty crazy how fast he's able to launch himself in this fs 180 from there. Mason is the man.
I dont know why, but even for beast parts such as this one I have a hard time watching the whole video part because of my short attention span, but I have no problem watching 27 minutes of the rough cut lol
9:14 those black and gold Nikes are syck!!! Looks good with that wallie pop shuv! I gotta feeling that there is a whole next level in his Skateboarding. I WANNA SEE IT!!! These Rough Cuts show you a deeper to trick execution and it looks so breezy that I wanna see Mason Silva Turnt UP! Anyone else feel that sentiment! Hes a SOTY contender for me man!
Rough cuts are SO much better when they show all of the attempts. People often underestimate how powerful it is to watch someone fail over and over again, and then succeed.
All of these tricks are unreal! But it really pisses me off that the ender was filmed from such a horrible angle. I mean does the filmer not want us to appreciate how big that gap is?
Seriously! My only thought is that the side angle is owned by a different filmer and they didn’t get the rights to use it. Or maybe they lost the footage? What gives?
Right because what you would do as someone who has never picked up a board in his life would be the same as a pro skater at the top of his game who is encouraged and paid to push the limits of what is possible on a board.
Rough Cuts always give you a better understanding of the raw power of some of the tricks done. the raw sound emphasizes the force behind the tricks better.
@@mattd1659 I think it's a music rights thing. Ryan Lee and Mason talk about it on a Nine Club episode where basically Thrasher and other companies "rent" music and it's not a lifetime thing. I think they mention some of Louie Lopez's parts were removed for the same reason
anytime he bails, he always keeps his orientation and grace. his board can yank his feet out, and he rolls out momentum, but his orientation is never out of his control. amazing show of dexterity.
this brings it to perspective, these pros are out there working for footage. it's their job. people stopping a pro is frustrating, like, a whole crew there to film a planned spot, just bagged sometimes.
I’ve watched this so many fuckin times. Mason you are unbelievable on a skateboard. Growing up I was also a ledge guy who loved mad steez, but damn I love watching you. You skate with so much power and everything you skate is knarly. Keep rippin dude!
I just bought a Real deck not knowing anything other than they have good reviews for durability, that lead me to this guy and he is killing it. I don't know how I have never heard of him!
Skating is progressing while skate filming is degressing. 2005: Everything was wide angle fish eye lens 2020: Nearly everything is zoomed in as far as possible while panning the camera so fast everything hurts my eyes and makes everything motion blurry. I'm not saying to only use fish eye, but damn, nearly half of the bangers in this video are ruined man, tf is wrong with these filmers, am i the only one that thinks this??? Is Telephoto angles the only way to film now? looks like trash
man i feel like i should be banned from berrics channel because i used to comment exactly that under EVERY fucking video. SO much movement from zooming and panning. Like, i dont need that extra mile frome the filmer. Hold your cam steady and let the skater do the work. Skate videos are a pain to watch these last years
Love rough cuts. The regular parts are dope but they make it look so easy. Also, man it’s so hard to pick favorite skaters these days. They’re all rip so hard.
“Don’t be sorry, this is my passion”. I respect that photographer to the fullest

10:34 🥺🥰😭
after i heard that i liked the video
all of these spots are so gnarly it’s refreshing to see spots that aren’t all just stair sets and hand rails
It's called an ART..a street art
Yeah I hate when I see places like la courthouse in street parts bc that’s way too good of a spot. These spots are lowkey and super creative
I love that at least some people in those crowds appreciated what they were lucky enough to witness. A fucking magic show.
Underground Record WORD.
Well said !!!

@@Mr_Nobody913 just curious, why is that relevant? is 38 old or something?
Every trick could be an ender on most skaters parts, a straight up gnarly, hard working, relentless dude.
88Zero I think I just need to give him a few pointers, and maybe they wouldn’t fall as much. Besides skaterboarders are the most intelligent people after all lol.

Agree 200% 88zero.
I was thinking the same thing! I thought he was going to end it with the fat 360 smh. Enough time left had me on edge lol. All enders for sure 100
Great part.
Seriously got my eyes watering, seeing Silva land the back 3' and skate down the street. What a relief. That was a War and a half
Yeah man, he worked for that one lol
What I love about Mason is you can tell he's having a fucking blast. It's so fun to watch
Even most of the bails you can see him look up from the ground and laugh.
But he's serious about the trick tho. Good balance!
The catch on that first Hardflip, my God !!!!
The way he catches it and brings it back is fucking crazy
Insanity
His board was like "dude, lemme finish my bath, damn..."
hahahahah
Hey this is so random but my name is also venancio nice to see one of me in the wild. I’ve only seen like 2 other people with that name
Benny Ruiz aye that’s cool
Benny Ruiz sane with my name only come across a few a year if not none
I don’t think skateboarding is that impressive. Seems pretty simple, stay on the board. Shouldn’t be falling down that often lol.
He has SOTY energy, for real. Like, major major SOTY energy.
Yeah he really does
Sooo fucked endless bangers at top speeds madd respect!!
Cards energy, imo
Fax tho 🔒
Like SOTY SOTY energy.
dude is such a perfectionist, he re-does tricks after makes that 90% of pros would take
I can already imagine someone coming out for their smoke break, pulling out the phone to check Facebook, and casually leaning against the rail, shortly before going to the hospital.
Why did I laugh at that?
Rough cuts give you time to react to each clip 😮
It’s crazy how much his style reminds me of a young Geoff Rowley. Straight ripper.
Also some chris senn as well.
Agree with both, but also seeing Westgate and Cardiel for sure
I get the same vibe. All those guys do it the hard way at full speed and get it perfect.
@@Hello_I_am_Jeff the best go hard. And Silva is going hard! He has like three to five'ish skate videos to his young career. Bonkers.
he even kinda looks like him too!

Fart Gargler 🤣🤣🤣
peter-john ogilvie literally just bend your knees and keep your eyes up.
Fart Gargler can you ride one? Maybe but so many of these tricks take years to learn
John Roudebush esschh that’s a stretch, years..? maybe for someone with a learning disability.

The last freaking trick was second try??? This guy is a beast. Amazing part!
And looks like maybe a 10 ft run up
And he just threw that shit down and snapped quick. No pushes. Insane.
It probably had to be one or two tries - you don't get many tries on a mountain like that
I’m always wondering if the single clips in rough cuts were first try
Hayden Navarro me too i was just thinking about that before i read this comment hahah but i dont doubt it bro
I dont know why, but even for beast parts such as this one I have a hard time watching the whole video part because of my short attention span, but I have no problem watching 27 minutes of the rough cut lol

I read this midway through the video and thought it couldn't be THAT bad, but shit it was
For everyone wondering. Mason states in one of the new thrashers that he was so nervous to try the trick that he took one filmer and one photographer.
@@xcamster9409 can't blame him lmaaaapoo, shiz is crazy
