So, I recently hopped into my 2019 GX460, and it felt like it was auditioning for a slow-motion drama on the highway hills. When I slammed the pedal to the metal, it played hard to get until eco mode decided to clock out. I adore my car, but I'm not aiming for a snail's pace record here. Is it safe to push it to the limit like this, or am I playing a risky game of engine and transmission roulette? I just want a smidge more power without turning my commute into a space-themed comedy - ludicrous speed, anyone? 🚗💨😂
We hear this a lot with many different vehicles and seems to be especially bad on the Lexus and Toyota concerning the slow reaction. The ShiftPower throttle controller will certainly give you the response your want and is very adjustable so you can get just the right amount of gain without being jerky. I would not worry at all about your engine and transmission and certainly if you are only looking to eliminate the annoying lag, not like you are going from zero to wide open throttle all the time.
The button is not required. It can be hidden away or not connected at all. The app allows much greater control and fine tuning of the settings.
Installed this a few days ago. Perfect! I set this at 50% SS and it really makes a difference.

Can you lock the throttle when the vehicle is powered off?
No the vehicle computer must be on which normally turns off with in a minute of turning the key off.
So i installed mine and followed the 10 min procedure but it wont allow me to switch modes
