I used to own this and since then got the pedal monster and it’s a night & day difference from this device. Actually uses the factory OBD2 port and has 10 levels for City,Sport, & Track mode. Also has it to where you can adjust your setting to revert back to factory settings in reverse so you don’t have to reverse in Sport 4 and go flying backwards. If you run amp steps into OBD2 port it works with an adapter so you can run 2 products on the one OBD2 port. Might be worth a look. 👍🏻
I was on the fence about getting one, but now that I got one for my acura mdx, I want one for all my vehicles lol This made my already fun car to drive, even better.
nice video! I bought 2 of them, unbelievable improvement to my 2016 2500 Denali truck. 2023 gmc yukon denali with the 6.2 still having trouble finding the right setting for that one.
For anyone on the fence about products like this - it doesn’t add power, but it sure wakes the truck up! I had mine out to take her in for service and was floored by how smooshy stock fealt! It’s ruined the stock pedal feel for me.
There are no disadvantages I have this product. You either use it or you turn it off simple as that. and it has nothing to do with psychologically when the throttle response is fast you get to a certain speed faster this is called rational science.
Hey Don, have you had any issues around the vehicle becoming disabled with the pedal commander. I know the Banks pedal monster plugs into the obd2 port and they claim the commander doesn’t get consistent power which can cause problems. Any experience with that issue? Thanks
Not an issue with mine or this vehicle. The circuit has enough headroom for the device to be connected from what my research has told me. I also get to keep my OBD2 port free which is a bonus.
Just an FYI, DO NOT CHANGE MODES WHILE YOU ARE DRIVING!!! It plainly says put it into park. Otherwise your check engine light will come on and messes everything up.
I was thinking of getting the Range as well. One big negative with that is when you go in to a dealership for work, you have to remove the unit completely. It also won't remember your settings from before you disconnect it, so you have to program it all over again. IMO, that's BS. With the PC, you just turn it off before dropping off your vehicle, and it's invisible to all the computers the dealership connects up when doing work. Just turn it back on when you get into your vehicle again post visit. IMO, MUCH easier.
Hi Don, I enjoy your channel and the mods you apply to your truck. I have a 2023 Elevation and have a question. Do you think the LED taillights from a Denali would work on my Elevation? I want to have exclusively LED lights on my truck and get rid of the regular lights in my stock taillights. I have looked at aftermarket parts and were unimpressed. Look forward to your response. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Technically no because it isn’t increasing engine load, just the electronic signal for throttle position. If you shift into manual mode (L9 or M9). I have videos about that if you are interested.
@@Donslife Thanks for the info. I had the Pulsar LT on my 2020 Trail Boss , and it disabled the DFM and the auto start/stop crap. It also works for the throttle as well. I now have a new Dodge Power Wagon, and wanted to end the cylinder deactivation (MDS). Pulsar worked great with the 6.2.

Exactly! The longest it took for the pedal Commander was figuring out where to put the controller!

Great takes! Always love to hear your thoughts on your Pedal Commander, especially now that you've had it installed for a bit now! 🙌
I purchased one for my 5 gen Ram 1500 a week ago,and so far no hiccups.
I noticed a better change in fuel economy with city driving.
Was thinking of getting one. Do you recommend it?
Thanks for your great video. We appreciate it. Please also evaluate the Pedal Commander’s fiercest competitor: the Pedal Monster. Thanks. 🇨🇦
Noted!

What do you mean? Do you prefer the stock feeling?
@@leeedwards6619 Other way around. After getting used to the feel with it, without feels wrong/bad/squishy.

i agree
Lol you need to improve your translation software that was pathetic.
Chinese garbage.

Good advice. Also don’t depress the throttle even in park while changing modes
Can you change the mode while driving by taking your feet off the gas paddle or do you need to come to a complete stop to change to a different mode?
While driving. Just release the pedal for a couple seconds
Can you buy that? And install in different vehicles??? I have Mazda speed, and wanted to put in on my Audi?
They are vehicle specific but some vehicles can use the same model. Best to check their website
I just need Range to come out with the Pulsar for the 23...

I can’t say with certainty that they would. You might even need different harnesses for connecting them. Mine uses one plug and no bulb connections.
@@Donslife Thank you sir.
Does this help disable the Dynamic Fuel Management/Cylinder deactivation?

Awesome video!!!!! 😮😊
Glad you enjoyed it

Happy to help
I’ve gotten in my wife’s suv and it said zero miles to empty. She says “It’s fine, it goes for a while on zero”. 🤦🏽♂️
@@scrappy7509 I have tried to explain this to her. I don’t let my truck get below a quarter unless it’s by accident.
Does anyone know the song(s)
As the instrumentals
Beware with that pedal commander it’s trash and expensive.
Wow, you build a strong case....
its total JUNK or trash watch Banks pedal monster VS the pedal commander and its true Pedal commander is junk and unsafe
I learned a lot from that video
@@Donslifeso which one do you still prefer ?
@@Donslifethat it’s garbage?
