Using this recipe now lol. My family wanted some seafood boil for Christmas and had to look up a sauce recipe. Did a test batch and found out that unsalted butter was too plain for our taste so we used salted butter and we didn’t include lemon grass.

I prefer to stir fry my shrimp then add the sauce in. You can boil it as well then drain most of the water and add the sauce in. The sauce should be enough for 3 lb shrimp unless your adding other proteins/veggies.

Hi, sorry this recipe is not specifically Asian style even without specific spices. If he doesn’t like Cajun, you can try with only lemon pepper, butter, garlic, onion, lemon grass, paprika, chili pepper, and cayenne pepper. When I make Asian style seafood as I call it I don’t use any of these seasoning. I usually use oyster sauce, 1/2-1 can of mince crab in spice, little corn starch, lemon grass, ginger, kaffir like leaves, and fresh chili.
Whyyy. I made this today due to the many comments. It’s good but way too salty I had to add tablespoons of sugar and it’s still a bit salty. And I don’t know there’s something lacking. I also added fish sauce, which made it better. From the recipe alone, this is not for us.
