I’ve said for years that Magic Mountain has the potential to be one of the greatest parks in the country. They already have an outstanding lineup of coasters (and Scream), they just need to improve everything else, and looks like they’re taking baby steps to fix that. I think the future of this park is bright.
They absolutely can be! I've said the same thing! The park has an outstanding coaster lineup, great layout and some really nice areas. The bones are there for something world-class.
I really want a third water attraction and more flat (family) rides like a train, ferris wheel or gondola from Viper to Twisted Colossus! The park needs more balance of attractions.
@@OakViewFilmsToo bad SFMM don't have the monorail system or the sky buckets anymore. I wish that the park starts becoming well-rounded like it used to be....ESPECIALLY when it comes to family/ thrilling flat ride attractions, and water ride attractions that's already been mentioned several times throughout this thread. They did at one time had TWO railroad systems, BUT, they were both confined to their respective areas of the park...pretty much like what the current Whistlestop Train does.....THAT'S where SFMM lost it's opportunity to create a major railroad system that encompasses the entirety of the park.
When you said "My favorite part of Samurai Summit, the downhill part," I felt that. lol And yeah, they definitely need more water attractions there. I would put a water coaster like a Power Splash or an Ultra Surf in Deja Vu's old plot, a Zamperla Big Wavez where Dive Devil is, and an Aquaman themed splash pad in DC Universe. At least it seems like they are trying to get the park looking nicer. So much potential.
I'd LOVE a water coaster like Six Flags over Georgia got! And, yes, so much potential. There are a lot of little things that are getting better. But still so much more to go. It's going to take some massive strides to get the park where it needs to be.
Do you know why Viper was down? I am from Ohio and was bummed to not be able to ride Viper while at Magic Mountain on June 4th and 5th. They were having issues with bees on X2 but it was still open. Maybe there were also bees around Viper.
@@AmericasCoasterNetwork Yeah bees on X2 shut it down like 30 minutes before the park closed at 6:00. Something about a hive under the track and sometimes they get agitated. You could see them swarming around as they were sending test trains. Thankfully I rode X2 on the first day we were there. The girl that was working the line said that it took about 2 hours to get them to calm down last time it happened when she was there.
I love Magic but the last time I went almost everything was closed and the ones that were open only had one train running so wait times were longer than they needed to be. Only the first parking lot was full. Should have been walk ons and re-rides all day, the way it used to be, but unfortunately no.
@@AmericasCoasterNetwork last time I went was probably 2016 or 2017 during the day when frightfest was going on at night. I hope the merger will improve this park eventually
Yeah, or a bunch of other Six Flags parks. I feel they are dirtier than the majority of the Six Flags parks I've been to. And I've been to all but two.
@@AmericasCoasterNetwork That means SFMM is overseen by lazy or apathetic people. Although local minimum-wage laws & government policies, which are forcing businesses in CA like restaurants to close, probably don't help MM either. Regardless, what Universal is willing to do in Orlando with its Epic Universe park makes parks like MM look increasingly rundown & mediocre
The entire park needs more trees. There was some very dense areas with trees from 50 years ago. And then areas with absolutely nothing because they cut them down for new rides.
It will probably be a 2026 coaster like Fast & Furious at this point! I’ll take park improvements and maintenance over a new ride in the meantime. A third water ride in the future though please! 🤞🏻🙏🏻
As soon as you left Samurai Summit, SUPERMAN just Opened. Or unless they were Testing it, but I did and hear Superman go up the Tower. I'd ❤️ to see SUPERMAN be transformed into a proven Strata, and see the Exsisting Superman Tower be used as one of 2 Spikes, and see a 400 foot TOP HAT be installed inbetween NINJA and CraZanity. 😎🌴🎢❤️👍🏻
3 New Trains replace the car concept, 20 passengers to a train, 2 across and have the trains Look much like TT2, and restraints, only difference, keep Zamperla as far away from the SUPERMAN Strata Coaster project and Hire Intamin to make changes.

They need to up their maintenance game, rides see lots of down time at the park

@@stephenn77 I'd love for another transportation like ride. Given that SFFT is building a monorail, one like that for SFMM would be an excellent fit.

good job six flags
More paint, more new fences, fixed and repainted Samurai Summit, revised Sky Tower and a new flat ride.
Of course a band new Giga Coaster for 2025!
TLC, staffing and training would go a long way - great coasters and really good grounds.

Viper was down for maintenance
I believe Viper was just down for maintenance. Hopefully it's operational when you visit. and see on X2? Woah! First I heard of that.

I think they are gonna start building after all the rest of the six flags get there rides done . Six flags in the last to start construction
can you please tell me every ride that was closed when you last went?
Every Camp Snoopy ride or every ride in the park?

That's always the worst when it's like that. What time of year was it? In the wonder they close a lot for maintenance.

Six flags is going downhill operations wise. I don’t even remember the last time twisted ran 3 trains like they’re supposed to
Oddly enough, they are doing better than Knott's who has 1 train on the majority of their coasters.
They need to plant more trees that free way themed coaster needs so many trees
