My top five rides at my former home park are: 1) Tatsu 2) Twisted Colossus 3) X2 4) Full Throttle 5) Apocalypse I haven’t ridden Wonder Woman yet. Oh how I miss my former home park! Viper was my very first coaster to temper my fear of heights in 97 and I will always love that coaster!
Long live Viper. Two of the best first drops in the park are neighbors. X2 and Viper. Viper just needs some TLC. New trains would do wonders for the ride experience of most folks. Hopefully the park keeps it around for a long time in the future and gives it the love it deserves as the last of the Arrow Mega-Loopers. Superman is an interesting situation. I'd love to see it turned into a full circuit ride. Take it up and over the top, heading towards Screampunk District and interacting with all of the coasters along the back of the park before going back up the mountain. I'd actually turn the old Laughing Dragon Pizza into the station for it.
At first I was confused by Viper and X2 but realized you were not talking about the drop. Superman though unique I can see going. I hope they keep the tower for the drop ride as it is one of the best out there. Long live Viper, hoping they can do stuff to keep it long term but a ride that is 30 years old and that intense is not long for this world. Pretty sure the new coaster in the area of the old theatre was, is going to be a 2026 edition judging by the lack of anything being done since demolition and surveying.
TPR Tip: On a busy day or weekend, start the day with Full Throttle and the rides in the Screampunk District and then go counterclockwise finishing with the rides in the Baja Ridge section. When I went on a Tuesday in June of 2014, we started our day with X2 and then went clockwise from there, and it did work, but when we went back there on a Saturday of last August, we did the exact same thing and it backfired as Goliath and Twisted Colossus both had waits over ninety minutes long.
Apocalypse used to be good when it had effects like the smoke and fire. Always has a long wait time and I'm always disappointed after. Viper is 34, we share the same birthday. I hope they keep the Superman tower (not the ride) and add a spinning coaster to it that's launched to the top. They can take Drop of Doom out and add a drop ride with rotating seats to the red tower by Tatsu. Wishful thinking. 😅
I'm surprised you said riddler is rough. Road it this year and it still seemed butter smooth. Scream on the other hand has developed a nasty rattle over the past few years. I also with the retrack that apocalypse isn't as rough anymore. That Coaster beat me up last time I road it. X2 is still my favorite in the park and my favorite coaster I've been on. Got stuck at the top of the lift hill for 30 minutes and oh man that view is so beautiful.
One coaster I think this park could really benefit from is a Vekoma tilt coaster, Could be a good way to pay tribute to Superman if it ever got removed.
For Scream I think the kind of scenery that would fly is to build a faux refinery around it complete with smoke coming out of the smoke stacks and reimagine it as Scream Factory. As for my prediction of any coasters being built taller than the tallest one at the park. Taller than Superman? No. Taller than Goliath? Yes.
I love Magic Mountain but it is a weird place in a lot of ways. Some areas of the parks are beautiful and rival Knotts for appearance but then others look like a mall parking lot. And examining ride heights also highlights this weirdness. The two tallest coasters are kind of an after thought. And taller does not equal better at this park. I did ride Superman in its first year and it did sometimes reach 400 feet back then (which was pretty scary since it felt like you might fly off the track.) But now is just kind of okay. But Lex Luther is one of the best drop towers on earth. So again, just weird.
The Intamin Ultra Surf might be a good idea, its capacity is bad considering that SFMM is one of the busiest parks in the legacy SF chain. In my opinion, it definitely works at a mid tier park like SFOG, who are the ones that have this type of coaster, which was supposed to open this year but got pushed back to next year cuz of supply challenges

Great point! thank you for watching!
I also see Superman biting the dust soon. I imagine that they'll refurbish/renovate it
With Zamperla again?
@@FranklinNRW or Intamin installs a launch like on Red Force, this one works fine
If they pull a Top Thrill 2 with it that would basically make it a halfpipe coaster lol
@@quentenmajoor5861 or just full on replace it and built that figure 8 swing launch coaster

Great video as always 🎢
X2 is my favorite to ride at Magic Mountain
Wild idea, Use Super Man structure and make it a dive coaster!! There's your 400Ft coaster! #skippingtheGiga
Zamperla will come in and reimagine Superman 😂
Burrrrrn...😄

I honestly like this lineup better than Cedar Point because of the variety.
This park need a giga coaster
100% facts
Hopefully the new confirmed coaster (something about getting land approved was leaked) will be a giga or at least a dive but probably a divr
@@deejaythedeejay giga dive coaster
Do a list like this for California's Great America

I honestly hope that they do a reimagining of Superman, replace the launch with a modern LSM system and maybe give intamin ultra surf trains.

That would make total sense. If Six Flags Magic Mountain did this to Superman: Escape from Krypton, you can bet that the park guests will love this!
I think even if Superman gets removed Lex Luther would stay like the other drop tower did in Australia once they lost their intamin free fall.
