The reason why the E85 stoichiometric A/F (lambda= 1) differs from the petrol is because the E85 contains hydrocarbons but also the OH group (C2H5OH). So there is internal oxygen in the fuel. When burning the E85 with lambda 1 it need less external air to burn because of this "internal" oxygen...
This channel/organization doesn’t get enough love. Thanks for sharing some more advanced performance stuff! Info like this can be hard to come by in video.
Cheers for the love mate! We'll keep the content coming - Taz.
Lambda is king! Worth converting over.
But you still need to know stoich and update it in your fuel model…
the answer was just right Andre thanks💪
Hope you're keeping well dude! - Taz.
@@hpa101 everything is great thanks. i wish you guys the same💪
I didn’t know that there was a stoic emetic thing for 98vse85. So if using a Fueltech Exhaust Nano should I be aiming for the 9.8 that e85 is or go for the 11-11.5 range And also there’s the variables depending on what my motor likes. Mild LS1 turbo Ls9 cam
Using a flex fuel to. Thanks for your time
Thank you! 👏🏼
Hi, any tips for idle, crusing, building boost area and full throttle numbers? I'm like 13, 12, 11.5 and 11,2. Thanks. Sorry I only hace AFR guage without lambda display. Thanks.
I noticed after getting tuned on e85 my afr is 14;7 1 and my fuel trims are more.towards lean +10 until I hit the throttle. What you think k about that
What about NA motor??
14.7 to 1 for gasoline. 14.1 to 1 for 10% ethanol pump gas.
That's the stoichiometric ratio which is independent of target AFR in performance applications where we might run leaner or richer in different areas of the map - Taz.
