    I might be the odd one out, but I hate clamshell backpacks or duffel bags that open all the way to split into 2 sections. They are less durable and harder to use on the go when you can’t just set your bag down somewhere to rifle through it. I find using compression/packing cubes and a regular bag that opens at the top or only half way is the best compromise for durability, ease of use, and ease of finding my things in my various pouches/cubes.

      hot take but I see your point for sure

      Just because you can open a clamshell backpack all the way, doesn't mean you have to everytime. Just open it halfway and boom, you got yourself a normal backpack that only open at the top. And when you're at your hotel then you can open it all the way for easier packing/unpacking.

    I’ve been trying to decide between the Sympl and Aer bags from this video for the past week or two! Sympl is drawing me in with the looks (minus the slightly aggressive branding), the dual main compartments since I always bring an extra pair of shoes/boots, and the ability to carry duffel-style (though not sure how much I’d actually use that mode). The Aer is also an attractive bag with great materials, and seems to get praise just about anywhere I look. Any X-factors between them to help push me towards one or the other? If you had one bag to replace your roller carry-on, which would it be?

    • @Nomads.Nation

      cant go wrong with either, but Aer is definitely more of a safer bet

    I like how you have the bags set up library style, to many for traditional bag wall. How far out do you think before we will be able to preorder the community bag ? If there will be a pre order, and will it be named after Nomad Nation? Love what you guys are doing.

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  Рік тому +2

      thanks dude! I love my backpack-library as well :) As for preorders, we are still a ways away, hoping to have the first prototype in a month and then that will dictate how the rest of the timeline goes. Best case though, still 8 months away (BEST case)

      Can’t wait either. You should consider offering a buy-back program (on a per-case basis) for people that have purchased from your future competitors, that way this adds towards your (potential) social responsibility initiative (in terms of recycling.??). Good luck with everything man!

    Been using my PD Everyday backpack 30L since 2016. 1000 flights+ and counting. The bag looks practically brand new.
    Travel, hiking, sports, biking, and then to conference rooms and meeting. Nothing has broken, none of their features are gimmicks, everything works, everything is so beautifully made, and they back it for LIFE.
    You can’t do better than peak design. No they didn’t pay me.

    I've been looking at the WANDRD PRVKE 41L for a Large and practical carry-on. I see it and it's 31L variant favourably reviewed, but never brought up in these kind of shortlists, how come? Is it that far behind? I feel like I'm missing some piece of the puzzle.

    Peak design owner here (45L version)- feels premium, the expansion is a lifesaver, but if that thing is packed out and you have to carry it through the airport it is one of the most uncomfortable backpacks I’ve ever had. I spent $300 on it and it’s amazing otherwise so I’m not trying to replace it but if I’d known ahead of time I probably would’ve gone with something else. Just something to consider for future potential buyers

    @aaron @nomads nation I am in the market for an AER City Pack Pro. I am stuck between Xpac vs Ballistic Nylon. I love the idea of aqua-guard zips and the orange interior. However, I live in Texas and it doesn’t rain here very much. I was interested in your thought process when choosing a bag. Why would you choose either in your experience?
