Hah, funny to see this now in the UK. I was one of the guys who built this one when I was at Icon. My all time fav from my time there. I put a couple hundred test miles on it. Nothing but giggles from the back seat and people on the road, no matter who it was...giggles! Love to see it being used and driven properly
I owned the car since the mid 1980's before selling it to Jonathan Ward. It's amazing to see that it's back in the UK. We imported it from London to Texas. It was a great car even in it's original form. The straight six engine may not have been a racer, but it was smooth and had lots of torque. I'm so happy to see this car live on.
When I was four and a half & we were about to come back from Australia. We were staying at my uncles who had a Silver Cloud. One day he came in and told the maid he had just bought another one. Then said it's on the back seat and would she go and get it for him. That day I became the proud owner of my own Silver Cloud,. made in Japan, Cream roof, gunmetal body, made of tin and all of eleven & half inches long (or just over 90cm if I have got it right),. I still have it today, a little rusty and worse for wear, but would not part with her for all the tea in china. Thant's for the memories, Tiff. I still have fleeting memories of riding in the back of his Silver Cloud.
Gr8 car. Admire people who mix old fashion classic shapes with modern engines, suspensions, modern technology to receive an unique vehicle that can not be repeated. I would prefer to have such machine at my garage than any other top shelf Porsche or Ferrari 🤓 Super Video !!!!
cool car indeed but only affordable when the owner is a perfect mechanic and is able to repair everything from cylinder head gasket, piston rings, cardan shaft, wheel suspension. Otherwise presently repairs on this car cost more than the car is worth.
Love my American cars, engines simple, reliable & well engineered. Upmarket British cars are tops in interior appointments and body styles - so this combination, although not the holy graii is PERFECT.
FANTASTIC CAR.!!! AND I ENJOYED IMMENSELY THIS GREAT VIDEO.! KEEP ON GREAT JOB... LAGONDA, JENSEN, ASTON MARTIN, BRISTOL AND OTHERS ARE WAITING FOR YOU. ALL THE BEST, JUSTYN NOREK
@@lovecarsTV 😀No, Paul; I spent five grand on her, plus five years of my own labour, then sold her three years ago. Still have one though - a far superior 3.0HDi, almost identical. I’m on Fb on C6owners group, where there’s a plethora of posts as I strive to make the latter ‘like new’ 😏(YCT 481). I don’t do much Insta, but I’ll find you (not in a Liam Neeson sort of way! 😆) e3steve, if you ever fancy doing a Lovecars review... Fellow Saints supporter, along with Tiff, btw... Not enjoying that sinking feeling!
I didn't know about Icon Derelict, but could see there was something weird about the stance and rims about the first seconds I saw it. And I could hear that LS growling immediatly as well. Nice creation though
IMO, this was the best body shape of any Rolls-Royce ever. Maybe they should have stuck to it for for their later cars and just updated the engine, electronics etc.
I'm pretty sure that Santa doesn't have 364 days off. He needs to create his naughty and nice list, he needs to manage all the elves etc. :-) Merry Christmas!
It's also being illegally used on the road. It might be a 1958 car but being substantially altered from factory spec it must have an MOT every year. It does not, which suggests the DVLA are unware of the alterations. That would also affect the insurance because the owner might well have declared the modifications for insurance purposes but the car in effect has no MOT when it should. Very nice car though.
Merry Christmas to you all! Thank you so much for watching our videos and supporting our channel.

That's awesome!
Could build another one???
Must've been a great experience to work at ICON. All of his cars look amazing! Wish I could afford to let Jonathan have his way with my car!
I just love TIFF... he's so much fun..
He's a legend 👌😁
Tiff in a Santa outfit is something I didn’t know I needed
You can never un-see it!

I've known about this car for a while. Though a guy in Australia had it built, but if Tiff ended up with it, that is even better.
Jay Leno did a show on it three years ago.
Ha, Tiff definitely is a fan 😎

When it comes to repairing a Rolls Royce, if you ask how much it costs, you can't afford it.
Gotta love an ICON derelict!! What a great video for the holidays!!
Thank you! Merry Christmas!
I don’t know what’s different with his works but they just work.
Other restomods are “EW” but these, just awesome.
Probably the two most suitable gentlemen to present this car, it was a pleasure to watch this video 🙂👍🏽 just brilliant

A Silver Cloud that now lives up to it's name creating clouds of tyre smoke..... but I think Santa would probably drive a Jag.
Santa has a good collection of cars 👌😁
Merry Christmas to you all at Love Cars. Have a safe and happy holiday.

The entire interior is new too
It's so cool isn't it.
Strange thing about this is as a small boy I had a Dinky RR Silver Cloud and I imagined it had all these mods 60 years ago.
😎👍
Now, THAT'S how you make big grey clouds roll away . . . . . . (sorry : )

@@crashbox7130 Good points for the UK. Where it was "built" (California) , considerations such as MOT, and INS concerns, would not apply.
