How can i watch Nebula OFFLINE on Windows 11?

Android has a Nebula App with the Download Feature. So if i wanted to download a video to watch it on my Windows 11 Laptop that would be the best/only idea? Am i wrong?
Plz say that i am wrong and there is a better solution.
I actually have Nebula and really (!) like it, yet I keep watching your videos on UA-cam in order to show that I like them. Not being able to « like » a video on Nebula is a feature, not a bug, I know, but sometimes I want to show my appreciation for the creator
Apple is playing with fire in my opinion. In the US they're very focused on the letter of the law, but in the EU we're often focused on the intention of the law. So malicious compliance is asking to get burnt.

In the end, it's still an attempt at theft by the EU.
The EU doesn't produce big successful tech companies, and it's trying to have a chance at eating other people's successes.
Not an entirely bad strategy.
But you just have to see things like their carving out a space for Mistral (French AI company) and opensource AI in their AI agenda (despite its realistically greater danger), while going after successful US companies... And you can see the underlying intent.
In the end, consumers haven't rejected Apple despite all the Android offerings. Which means that the platform being less open in Apple's way isn't harming the user much.
Apple justifies their decision to ban a European subsidiary on a US court decision as well. Like, as if the EU (or the DMA specifically) cares about what some random judge over at the US ruled. Oh no, we ban people who want to launch a 3rd-party app store. Surely that would never violate the DMA, no no.

I'm, once again, surprised you didn't talk about Nintendo's lawsuit against Tropic Haze, creators of Yuzu and Citra, popular Switch and 3DS emulators respectively. Since they settled out of court this week, with Tropic Haze taking down both Yuzu and Citra, as well as having to pay Nintendo 2.4 million dollars, I expected it would at least get mentioned during The Brief.
That news made me upset because Yuzu didn't distribute the games themselves
That Nintendo situation is half-tech and half-gaming, I would consider this part of gaming so its kind of understandable he didn’t include it.

As a windows 11 user, who thought that I'd hate it but I actually kind of like it, at no point did I ever feel like wanting to use Android apps on Windows.
That feature never even crossed my mind.
But boy if they removed Windows Subsystem for Linux, then we'll have a problem.
the thing with windows 11 is that you dont really use it, you use your web browser, the os shuts up and just dont get in your way, that is not the case when you have to handle partitions, install new hardware and peripherals, configure the windows file explorer to be useful and more related stuff that used to be more simple
something i really dont like is configure ip addreses on win 11, the interface is dumb and annoying
network printer is the same crap it was in win 10 and 8, it is not a step forward, it is more a step sideways, the app is just another problem, i use win 11 now to load steam, thats it, eventually windows will become just the wallpaper and the rest will feel like android os

More options is always better.
There are some uses for mobile apps as not everything can be accomplished in webapps yet. Also with touch enabled Windows devices (Laptops and Tablets) it kinda makes sense. Most devices these days have lots of CPU/GPU power and RAM. Can handle pretty much anything

Killing android apps on windows is the worst thing to do now since Snapdragon X elite is launching soon and that support would be great for helping boost the catalog of native apps on Windows even if they are Android.

I feel like the epic vs apple story was not thorough enough. You've only quoted apple's claims. I think mentioning epic's response blog post should have been included. In the blog they proof that some of apple's claims are false. Also interesting that apple is using a US court ruling to block an EU developer account

Honestly, it's not surprising that Apple's market share is declining in China when you consider the quality of Chinese smartphones nowadays. Not only are these high-end models exceptionally premium, but most also include a charger in the box and a case for the phone. Objectively, this is all around better than Apple. Subjectively, one might prefer iOS or Android, but that's a different discussion.
Could you please explain, because I'm genuinely curious: why does a charging brick in the box matter? Everyone already has charging bricks, especially since iPhone now also uses usb-c I don't see the point to keep shipping bricks with the phones. Yes it's cheaper for apple (and other brands doing this), but their stated environmental reasons for doing this do actually make sense (even if it's not the main reason)

We'll china stuff is probably cheaper , is it actually more premium when you look at the specs and features under a microscope overall ? , add to that the support and I hate to say the words , eco system for apple stuff .
Make no mistake I have no bias , I have had 8 android phones including Huawei , and only two iPhones , and I get what your saying with the out of the box value , and it pisses me off to this day not getting accessories in the box too , however the same can be said for other android models too , galaxy, pixels that are also pretty mean when it comes to out of the box accessories.
But there are other benefits to be had with the iPhones , apple gets a lot of the basics that matter right imo, and that's why despite owning a galaxy note , a pixel 8 pro , but I still carry an iPhone , and I think iPhones like all the others are still not perfect , and maybe none ever will be , apple also has the runs on the board for software updates , for example 4 different apple devices I have where all updated around the world in 24 hours , good luck finding one single android phone that can pull that off , not samsung , not even google can do that , and certainly not Chinese models .
@@mikldude9376, your argument is based on how you think the best Android phone is Google or Samsung, but the former is never in the Chinese consumer market, and the latter lost a long time ago. So best or not, Chinese now do feel local manufacturers offer better values that suit their needs, market shares prove that. I believe the reason is simple as games can be installed in phones without play or app store tax

Its good for the environment, except they sell the charging bricks seperately with entirely new boxes to ship them with. So if you really believe they did it for the environment, I can do nothing but laugh.

I tried windows on Android multiple times. I got a surface pro and since its basically a better Android Tablet the dream was having it all on one device. But man.. that thing never got love. It was too hard to install for my taste, a bit slow and by default you dont even get the real PlayStore. And even the half the apps i wanted to unstall where 'dissabled' and i couldn't install.
In short its something id love to have had for simplicity but it felt like a beta verion.

Here's a good reason for Microsoft to drop Android apps: an E3 Microsoft 365 license with business desktop apps is $432 per year. An F3 license with Android apps and browser-only apps is $72 per year!

If Huawei didn't have to deal with the US banned they would be the dominant cell phone manufacturer today by far.
The bans are on server and backend equipment, the only retail ban is at military-only exchange stores. Americans themselves are free to buy Chinese phones, but they don't provide enough of an improvement (not just the hardware, but the apps, brand account, and overall user experience) to make a significant dent in the likes of Apple or Samsung.
Traveling around the world it seems to be the same case: the people with Chinese phones don't seem so excited to keep buying Chinese if they had the money to get a Western brand instead.
Hard to say bud , they certainly did make some nice phones though , I had one of the pro models for a while , and it was a good phone.
@@doujinflipThe ban on using Google services is severe enough for western users. Though Honor phones do have GMS, it's clear that Huawei didn't launch their sub-brand with the intention to avoid the ban initially. It's really a shame, competition is good for the customers and Huawei makes really good phones. Take for instance one of the last Huawei phones before the ban, the P30. Man, that phone is simply amazing and perfectly usable even today.
@@doujinflip Ban is on software(like google services) and hardware(like processors). Stop making fool out of yourself, its not like it was on TV for years all over the world. Huawei used to be on the top of smartphone world worldwide along with Apple and Samsung before the ban. Ban directly lead to slowing down of Smartphone develompent, as both Apple and Samsung had nothing to fear anymore, as it took other brands years to come even near the real high end quality that Huawei did offer.

Not surprising. But what is surprising is how well Apple sells in other countries, considering how the quality of Apple products have gone down over the past couple years. Especially on the software side.
I have also started to ditch Apple products. The Watch and iPads are replaced, soon the airpods and maybe my iPhone will be out for a foldable coming months?

dont remember the exact thing anymore but first it didn't want to download bc of some update i needed to install and when i installed it it still didn't want to work so i gave up in the end and tried emulation apps that also all sucked. all in all process sucked bad

To answer your question: It seems a pity to loose Android subsystem in Windows. It was not the fastest virtualization/emulation system but it was very well integrated with the native Windows Notifications. Nowadays you can accomplish most thing in a web browser but there there are some options that only native/mobile apps got. This was my main use for it. Most Windows devices come with lots of CPU/GPU power and RAM. Even without proper hardware acceleration performance was good enough for most apps (can't really say for games as I'm not much of a gamer).
Sideloading apps was quite easy (as you download apps and/or alternative appstores through windows). Also file management was seamless between both systems. Yet for non touch devices click to tap is not really that practical.
However, as if nothing else, it was a good option to have.
A complementary app system to an otherwise mostly desktop oriented app ecosystem.
I wonder if we'll see more of Huawei in Europe now too 🤔
I checked Lemmo's website and they apparently only ship to Germany and four neighbouring countries. Kinda makes me think they're not stretching the truth too much by calling the company Berlin-based. Would be a weird shipping area for a Chinese e-bike company that can ramp production up easily if something is a hit.

Apple never quite succeeded in being anything but a very expensive joke in the mobile phone marketplace in Taiwan across the strait (though the first half-decade if the iPad came close before Samsung, etc., ate their lunch); I suppose it's fitting that would forecast downfall in the rest of the Sinophone world. After all, major Taiwanese corporations (most obviously Honhai i.e. Foxconn, formerly the largest private employer in the whole of the PRC and Taiwanese owned) are extremely deep in the Chinese manufacturing and sale side, even with the current state of poor cross-strait relations.
Apple has discounted the 15 at least twice in EU (Baltics). 15 Plus and Pro models still hold their launch prices.
Why is quality unavailable for upgrade
All big tech companies now suck and their products are terrible. Something big has to happen.
7:34 it's not about spending resources, Microsoft is a collection of many departments, the ones working on android don't necessarily have anything to do with those working on AI integration. I think the reason it was abandoned is because they just couldn't get it to work/perform very well.

Windows subsystem for android is only supported in the windows system, which has ARM CPU. That’s why very few ever had used it, but I believe this is not a right time to kill this because in future, there are better and more windows on ARM laptop are coming.
This makes me happy! Apple screwed me over a few years ago with my 12 pro max. After 2 months of use the face if stopped working so I took it to a svc center. They told me the charging port has a corosion even if I never had it wet. I live in the Philippines and they charged me around $100 just so they can say they voided my warranty. I hope people will stop swooning over their products and actually switch to other brands that won't screw you over.

Installed Windows Subsystem for Android, Google Play Store, downloaded some apps which I use in my phone, but they are collecting dust in my laptop. Never used Android on Windows since the installation because it is more convenient to use my android phone.
I don't know how TF is it even possible but every German startup I come across somehow has a Chinese connection

Before completely transitioning to Mac, I often used Android apps on Windows. However, the necessity for this decreased significantly with Samsung DeX for Windows.
Ultimately, I switched to Mac and now find myself missing the Android apps and Samsung DeX functionality.

10:10 I had nebula for some time ago and thought maybe it could replace UA-cam for me since it does seem to have an interesting catalog. The twist is, it has no recommendation system to suggest more of the content I likes and less of the content I didn't, there is literally no "show less of this" or "more of this" which is one of the main contributors to the success of UA-cam. In addition, the user experience is still not there yet, especially when using the app on a phone which is what most users would do which is maybe acceptable if it was the only drawback, but unfortunately it's not. So overall, I think Nebula should focus more on bringing their platform to the next level and a less on marketing, at least for the time being until the platform is ready. I say this as an honest end user who genuinely wants and needs an alternative to UA-cam.
I used windows subsystem for android and it was horrible. Windows never ran Android apps natively, it was virtualized. Laptop went to 80°C while playing a simple game.
I fell for American propaganda a few years ago, but chance had it that I got a Huawei smartwatch last year, Nov 23 to be exact. I checked, a lot, with my router traffic logs and find no strange data being send. I mean, everything my Garmin send, they send, but not all. They shared less data than Garmin which turned my head around. Then I begin using it. The quality is just way better. You know that Garmin bs they don't want to connect to your phone? This watch, I'm not even sure what model it is, never have that problem. Battery is long. Dropped it a few times, never have a problem. Backpack through mud and rain with it. It didn't die. I treat it so poorly because I got it for free and I don't care if it dies, you know...now I begin to care because it's been through so much for such a short time.
So one thing I think Huawei does to get that first spot is probably build quality.
There's a difference between a random person's device and letting the enemy into your telecom infrastructure. This applies to Cisco too, of course. Huawei should have been banned on inception.
Right, that's why the US bans are against backend components. Americans are free to buy and use Chinese personal devices, but the overall user experience doesn't seem to be such an improvement to create a trend away from the likes of Apple and Samsung.
Being honest with you, all this “PUT AI EVERYWHERE” stuff that Microsoft is trying to pull off is pushing me out, I don’t see any benefit at all, I just want a ROCK SOLID computer to complete my tasks and call it a day, I’ll jump back to Linux next time I buy a computer and for my wife I’ll get a MacBook air.

What Android app doesn't already have a better version native on Windows? Besides, you can still use other emulator software, it's not like you can't install any third party software of your choice.

No idea why Epic just remove and make there unreal / epic launcher incompatible on macOS thiis includes purposly detecting apples compatibility layer on macOS. Prob then they can sit down and talk about making a deal on iOS?

In case of Windows Subsystem for Android, people cannot install apk without command line and installed Android apps can't access files on drives are the main REASON for WSA failure.

Not all countries had access to Android apps on Windows. I changed to German in order to install it. There hasn’t been any apps on Amazon that caught my interest and APKs I tried crashed given the custom Android that is running so I just gave up to have any use of it, lol.

android on win can't even run in my country, it is region lock, the setup is hard too, even people want to use it, it is too hard to get it working. Using emulator probably faster and easier.
