Austin is a few months older than my 4th (youngest) son….so nine years ago he was 26 or 27. He doesn’t even look old enough to vote! 😳❤
Yes, hard to believe Home Free has been going for nearly 23 years! The members last changed in 2016 when Chris Rupp (in this video) left to do his own thing. Chance joined at that time, himself a bass in his prior group. They've been blending and bending notes together ever since. This early number proves they already knew what they were doing. I really love how much you respect and appreciate talent and skill.
In a Home Away From Home episode,Adam shows how he does the beatboxing for the song. He listens to the song and adds the beat boxing. He records that in his own home studio then sends it to Darren, their producer. Darren is known as the 6th member of Home Free. He does all the production. Darren also does arrangements,as well as each of them have arranged songs,individually or collaboratively. Thanks!

Got all the names right. The one between Austin and Tim is Chris Rupp. He amd Adam are brothers and founding members of the group. He left in 2016 to do solo work and Chance joined at that point.
This was their first video after they won the Sing-off. They look like babies compared to today. But still amazing. Gotta love Adam Rupp.

I totally agree with you that even back then, they had that something special that makes them, "them". The combination of talent, hard work, skill, lack of ego, dedication to serving the music instead of trying to make the music serve them and the fact that they hold a true love and appreciation for their fans, are some of the reasons they succeed at making such fabulous music. Love this older one from Home Free (2014). They all look so young especially Austin. Love the scatting that Austin does. And Adam Rupp blows me away with his fabulous beatboxing as usual. These guys are infectious. Love all their different personalities. They make me smile. The ending is funny. The song says "Wake Me Up When It's All Over", so Rob woke Austin up from his dream.

These guys are so good and goofy. We call it Tim's Dragons Breath when he goes subterranean.
Chris is the producer of the group, started the group, sometimes cameo singing.. he and his brother Adam (beat boxer) can BOTH sing well.
This was done when they were fresh off The Sing-Off (Which you should check out all their performances). Chris Rupp is Adam's (Beatboxer) Brother and he was still with the group then. He did leave shortly after and that's when Adam Chance (Chance) came into the group! I am a HOME FRY forever and you should feel Tim's bass notes rattle concrete. You still have to see them in concert live just once at least. They are coming to Europe again later this year but the closest is Germany. I love all these guys and they could sing the phone book and I will listen to it!!!! Thanks for the great reaction!!!!
From left to right Tim Foust bass. Chris Rupp the founder of the group left in 2016 to pursue a solo career. But he also has a group called Cypress Fyre. He actually started the group in 2000 with his brother Adam and friend Mat Atwood. Austin Brown high tenor. Rob Lundquist lead tenor and Adam Rupp. So Adam is the only original member of the group. Enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.

You got all the names right.🙂. The one you didn’t know is the co founder of the group and Adam Rupp’s brother, Chris Rupp. I can’t remember if he was in college or high school at the time, but Home Free was started in 2001. Chris left in 2016 to do his own thing.
This was their first video after they won The Sing Off. Austin was indeed scatting. The were great then, but they have only gotten better.

Chris Rupp and Adam Rupp co-founded the group and in 2016 I believe he left and Chance came in. That is the modern era Home Free, before the sing off there were a host of changes, they eventually found Rob, then Tim and then Austin.
Excellent reaction! They are all so flippin talented, Chris Rupp (the one in the cap) can cover bass when Tim is singing, Chris is Adam's brother and they founded the group, but Chris went off to do his own career, he has some wonderful songs both solo and with his groups.
All the guys can beat box, you should check out their cover of 9-5 but do the live version to see what each of them bring to the table.

Now that reaction was "FUN". Hearing you and your people there working the beatboxing, bass, scatting on the fly was a blast. You sure had some great material to work from.
This is so good. Yes, Austin was “scatting”. He can yodel too. That other noise was probably Adam but I’ve heard Austin do something similar so it might have been him? Not sure though. Yeah Tim went low. Chris Rupp (in the ball cap) is Adam’s brother and was in the group for years but left in 2016 to go solo and was replaced by Chance. That’s the only personnel change for the band since they won the Sing Off in 2013. Some of the hair and beards change but that’s it. If you want to hear Tim go insanely low try Skull & Bones. Chance wrote the song for the game of the same name. In the short video of the group singing it Tim really goes low. Pretty cool!😍

That’s Chris Rupp in the hat. He is Adam Rupps brother and they founded Home Free! From Minnesota. He left the band to do other projects and that is when Adam Chance came in!
There's a live version of Skull & Bones on SpottinGames channel. But Home Free has been independent for the last 4yrs. So anything from their Dive Bar Saint's album and after, you will not get a copyright for. One of the main reasons they went independent was so people could do reaction videos. Chance wrote the new Skull & Bones song and a lyric video it's on Home Free's channel. But I think the live version is better actually. Thanks for the video.
Home Free copyrights everything. What they don't do is block (like Pentatonix's company does). Some of the reaction channels can get the copyright lifted by showing the analysis and that there are lots of breaks, however this is a lot of work and some reactors don't want to deal with it. So that's why the pay to react thing sometimes works out better for them.
When he first joined the group Chance's facial hair made him look a lot like Liev Schreiber's Victor Creed/Sabretooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009). Now, not so much since he's evened out the beard a bit. This was in early 2016 when Chris Rupp left for other endeavors. Chris and his brother Adam were the founders of Home Free along with Matt Atwood, who left early one to be a family man and businessman, and a couple other who left very early around 2000-2001. Chris was very rarely seen without a trucker or cowboy hat on in those days.
What a coincidence, I was just enjoying your reaction video with Angelina and her masterpiece "I'm still holding out for you". Avicii and Angelina and their family were friends, Avicii was a huge fan of Angelina. Angelina released her homepage ( damn autocorrect, of course I meant "HOMAGE" and not homepage 🤣🤣🤣 ) for Avicii shortly after his unexpected death became known. You should hear Angelina's version " Wake Me Up " and form your own opinion afterwards. For me there is no better version but I'm just a hardcore fan. 👣💯 *_AJ_* 💯👣
Tim doesn’t need a warm up to hit his bass notes. He has a 5+ octave range, and can actually SING in all, at will. If you listen, his bass notes are true, and even may have vibrato. The growl used by some bass singers, is actually a trick of the voice. It may be impressive in it’s depth, but is rarely sustained, and not really musically pleasing. Tim will sing, and sing beautifully in those lows

Chris & Adam Rupp started the band in 2000 - various members came & went. Austin joined them around 2013 and when Chris left to go solo in 2016, Chance joined. So the current men in the band have been together around 9 years now - they can probably harmonize in their sleep! One thing I've noticed is that they always use hand-held mics in their lives shows - probably because they can change their vocal effects by manipulating the mic.

Chris Rupp, in the baseball cap, was one of the three founding members. Adam Rupp is the second, and the only one remaining. Chris Rupp left in 2016, and Chance came in.

The guy you don't recognize is Chris Rupp, co-founder of Home Free with his brother, Adam. He left the band a few years back to do other things.

Just to let you know, Angelina Jordan sang this as a memorial to Avicci (ua-cam.com/video/F5omCuTQ9S0/v-deo.html) shortly after his suicide. She became quit close to him while he was developing promotional material for Volvo; that work led to her version of "Feeling Good".
