This is such a fun song by Home Free.. Austin ohh my Gosh the stuff he can do with that beautiful voice.. and Adam Rupp you are an alien.🏡🆓🏡🍟 Love my Boys
Home Free showing their goofy selves. Yes, scatting was what Austin was doing. He can yodel and scat and also do harmonica with Adam. Talented guys all. Loved Tim’s lows too. Adam was great. It’s a fun one. I think this was done soon after they won the Sing Off so they were pretty young. Good reaction DJ!!!🥰
One of the things I love about this one (Austin's scatting, Tim's bass, brilliant backups and Rob's voice) is actually getting to see a closeup of Adam beatboxing. The muscle development in his jaw and throat is just ....I don't have a word for it. He is just amazing as a beatboxer but also as an athlete.
They simply had way too much fun producing this song and video presentation. Their entertainment value is top dollar with eveything they do. Their customer base receives the best from them everytime. Very creative juices and exceptional produced music that keeps our hearts thumping along with smiles and feel good feelings.... ❣
Austin was 27 when he was on the Sing Off with HF , so yup the baby face of the group. *chuckle Glad you got to this one quick. Now you have to see the live of this so you can see the rhythm section Dance ! *chuckle if I say any more it will spoil the fun. so do it for us please Dylan you know we love to see you excited by the boys. and just for fun there is a compilation of Tim Foust Dance moves check that out!
If you're doing old HF videos, you might want to watch the "Hunter Hayes Medley", "Joy to the World" (Rob does lead - it's terrific) and Austin's original "California Country". Thanks for playing "Wake Me Up" - it's such a good video! Love your comments & reactions!
Until a few years ago, Austin was blessed/cursed with looking at least 10 years younger than his age. He would have been about 28 when this was released! His extremely youthful look also opened up modelling jobs before he joined HF and in between cruise ship gigs - not clothes modelling, though (thin legs!) A great version of the song and one of the best outros ever.
This is one of my OLD favorites of Home Free! There are so many great older ones people don't do enough of. Try another couple old ones like American Kids and the great Bye-Bye-Bye! Such fun both of them. So many great Rob leads, Bless the Broken Road, the classic John Denver's Country Roads. And I LOVE One Man Band!! Such a cool vibe from everyone and also the site they are in! Thanks for doing some of the best reactions of anyone I follow!! Take care.
You stopped the video and I thought you were done. I almost screamed to myself: "Don't stop, keep going and watch one of their best video endings". Thanks for this! I haven't seen it in a while. By the way, has anyone else noticed that when Chris left the group, Home Free's style and humor changed a little bit?
Yes, the style's changed and from what he says, it was one of the main reasons why he left. He found himself up against the band's management and several unnamed band members, who wanted the band to be more serious - no more tired skits etc. Personally i think it was a change for the better and has led to even higher levels of musicianship and the ability to bring into the repertoire songs like Helplessly Hoping and Brothers in Arms. Nothing against Chris but the acceptance of the band by the country music establishment is down to the change of tone. There has also been the double benefit of Adam Chance's fabulous voice and his taste in and knowledge of popular music. The live shows now are about the music, instead of the band goofing about, which since they're almost all over 40, seems only suitable.
Love this older one from Home Free (2014). They all look so young especially Austin. Love the scatting that Austin does. And Adam Rupp blows me away with his fabulous beatboxing as usual. These guys are infectious. Love all their different personalities. They make me smile. The ending is funny. The song says "Wake Me Up When It's All Over", so Rob woke Austin up from his dream.
Absolutely love this one! Austin is so good at scat, more please! I’m probably in the minority on this but I adore Austin clean shaven. A must listen for a Rob lead is Catch Me If You Can! Love your reaction as always! 😀❤️
The only other song that I can think of where Austin scats is Go Where I Send Thee, an amazing version. Don't know if you saw Austin when he last shaved his beard off in 2020 - looked kinda weird! The same youthful face but not youthful, if you get me. Amberly didn't like it because he looked younger than her, like she was some sort of sugar momma lol. You can see the beard growing back in the video for Off the Grid.
Sometime, just for your own fun, you should check out the video compilation of Tim's dance moves from their live concert videos. this song especially will get you with the 'moves" from Tim and Adam. Sexy comes to mind. Their voices are incredible, but they have some great dance moves too.
Magic. Pure Magic. Each one of these guys' talents and skills are so awesome on their own, but when they perform together, it is magical! I think we listen to their songs over and over because with each new listen, we catch new gems of genius which we missed. This is a fantastic cover. Love your reactions, you truly "get" Home Free.
I know you've reacted to one of the old Adam Rupp drum solos but you really ought to watch one of the more recent ones. A full on dance party all by himself. And wait till you see what they're releasing on Friday 🔥🔥🔥
Chris along with his brother Adam invented most of what we call the Home Free sound then Rob joined the group and with that they adapted later came Tim then finally Austin to complete the mix.
I just hm have to tell you my mom can’t remember names of songs, so she calls this one “Gweedum” in reference to the sound that Austin makes in his vocal acrobatic parts. So yah Gweedum. 😂
Appreciate also that during the scatting, the ostinato is on the offbeat. This is hard to do consistently without getting a bit sloppy, but they kept it crisp.
I agree that Adam IS the best beatboxer/ percussionist ever, BUT Kevin from PTX is a real close second. Rob has a bit of a warmer tenor voice where Austin is crisp and clear. I really like that you can understand all the lyrics which is more than I can say for the original. Thanks for your assessment.
Austin in his lower register sounds really good. Of course, Austin in ANY register sounds really good, so there's that.
This is such a fun song by Home Free.. Austin ohh my Gosh the stuff he can do with that beautiful voice.. and Adam Rupp you are an alien.🏡🆓🏡🍟 Love my Boys
💯percent agree with you!!!❤
Baby-face Austin, before the beard. How precious.
I believe that is called scatting.
I agree Adam Rupp is absolutely the best !!!
this was their very first video. It was released between when they had won the Sing Off and the show was aired.

Austin does some funky guitar sounds too. There's honestly nothing these guys can't do! ❤❤

See Adam up close is a big plus for me too. Amazing to watch.
Yes, Austin is scatting. It’s my favorite thing he’s done … like ever. Great reaction as usual!
Your reaction was so enjoyable😊 and wasn't Austin's lower register awesome?!
Rob sings lead in 'Catch Me If You Can' and is WOW!!
Yes! And hardly anyone has reacted to Catch Me if You Can. That's my favorite Home Free song by far.
They simply had way too much fun producing this song and video presentation. Their entertainment value is top dollar with eveything they do. Their customer base receives the best from them everytime. Very creative juices and exceptional produced music that keeps our hearts thumping along with smiles and feel good feelings.... ❣
If you’re missing Robb, Catch Me If You Can. You’re welcome.
This!!! The best Rob lead song!!! Even the guys agree he owned that song!
Great original that one
Excellent!!! ❤
Spaceship too!
@@beadwright i loooooove spaceship 😍🥰🥰
Austin is one of a kind
They were all so young lol. Great reaction!
Love this one …🔥🫶🏼🔥‼️…..
Oh, come Friday….new one …(Austin wrote)…”PLAYING WITH FIRE”…..You’re going to Love it 🙃😋❣️🔥🔥🔥🔥‼️……Like …WOWZA 🔥🎶🎵🎶🔥
The song, yes, an absolute banger. The video ...
I was so afraid you wouldn't watch all the way to the end. Not everybody gets that joke. Glad you enjoyed this one.

Seconded for Hunter Hayes Medley (have a towel ready cos Austin looks gorgeous) and California Country.
@@patriciamcl54 - A towel, a fan and perhaps an air conditioner!
This is such a good one from Home Free !!!

Love Home Free and their incomparable vocal acrobatics!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
One of Rob's best is Blue Ain't Your Color.

Cannot believe his song is almost 10 yrs old!

Awesome as Always ❤
Yes, Adam is definitely the best at what he does!! Cannot wait till October when I can see Adam's solo!
Will you be in Jefferson City, MO?
I so enjoy the abject joy on your face and in your whole being when you react to these boys ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sometime, just for your own fun, you should check out the video compilation of Tim's dance moves from their live concert videos. this song especially will get you with the 'moves" from Tim and Adam. Sexy comes to mind. Their voices are incredible, but they have some great dance moves too.

Still near the top of my Home Free favorites.
Thanks for sharing.

Another engaging, entertaining reaction from you, DJ! And another example of our guys being able to sing anything to perfection.
What Austin was doing is an “old time” jazz form called scatting!
That break down segment is called scatting!
I'll have to check, but if you haven't checked out Catch me if you can...it's Rob's and spectacular.
I can't wait for you to get to all the Christmas songs
Loved this! So, so fun!
You REALLY need to watch an Adam Rupp drum solo. It will blow what’s left of your mind.
Please do start with the one from 2015, then those from 2021 and 2022 to see how much he's changed and improved. And how much more fun his routine is.
❤❤❤
Chris along with his brother Adam invented most of what we call the Home Free sound then Rob joined the group and with that they adapted later came Tim then finally Austin to complete the mix.
This is such a funny song. No matter what they do it is awesome! Love your reaction!
Such a fun song! All the guys are bring it in this one! Hope you all enjoy it!❤
Ahh yes, the Ham Banana song, one of their great early ones.
You should check out the live version of this
They do it a little different
really get into it
Also a bit of tim dancing
Enjoyed this! Thanks for your enthusiasm!
For a Rob fix may I suggest Catch Me If You Can.
I just hm have to tell you my mom can’t remember names of songs, so she calls this one “Gweedum” in reference to the sound that Austin makes in his vocal acrobatic parts. So yah Gweedum. 😂
Exactly what I thought when I first this video
He looks like a baby
Appreciate also that during the scatting, the ostinato is on the offbeat. This is hard to do consistently without getting a bit sloppy, but they kept it crisp.
Another fun song you will like is 9 to 5 beatboxing edition. Sound quality is not the best but you will love it.
If I'm not mistaken, this is their second video. I believe Ring of Fire (w/ Avi) was first.
R.I.P. Avicii, original artist of this song.
Home Free made it their own in sound, style and set up. Did right by this song
Great reaction video
