How to Round Corners of Object Using Blender

- Step 1: Import your STL file. Step 2: Go into Edit Mode.
In Blender, Object Mode allows you to move, scale, rotate, and apply modifiers to the object. Edit Mode, on the other hand, lets you modify the vertices, edges, and faces of an object. To round a corner of an object, we need to be in Edit Mode as well as edge selection mode. In Edit Mode, there are three selection modes: Vertex, Edge, and Face. Step 3: Select the Edge(s) You Want to Round
To round an edge in Blender, you'll utilize the bevel tool. Begin by selecting the edge(s) you wish to round. Next, locate the bevel tool in the quick tools panel on the left side of the screen. This tool is represented by an icon resembling a hut or house with a slightly tapered roof.
Once selected, drag the yellow handle to create a bevel. To make the bevel round, open the bevel settings panel on the bottom left. Here, you can add more segments to transition the edge from a chamfer to a more filleted or rounded corner. The more segments you introduce, the smoother the result will be.
Exactly what I needed. Thank you!
THANK YOU!! it saved hours and hours of work!! - no one told me about scale!
Same. Damn...it's the subtle nuances that get you.
Thank you I couldn't get bevel working right and wasn't sure why until I found your video and learnt to apply the scale first!
Nice Thanks. What if we would like to scale the rounded object on x axis make it larger and keeping the round corners the same, is there a way without going back to the original object?
thanx a lot. I still not able to do for one edge, what may be the reason??
How do you bevel one corner and, more importantly, how do you remove a bevel? I've been trying to remove a bevel and my god is Blender bad for this!
Undo?
@@allegro446 not if youre coming back to it after a ton of other modifications. Undo does nothing to help. I mean to remove the feature or edit it once the object is complete.
how to get rid of that black mark after smoothing
how to do the opposite of that and round a inner corner
Thank you very much, the wrong scale was causing my issues!
You saved me! Thanks!!!!
THANK YOU !! so MUCH :D
Thanks
Thanks!
When i increase the number of the segments it kinda removes the bevel and remakes the points of the shape
Thanks for such a clear explanation. New sub.
tysm for this! is the only way to mirror in edit is to uses the edge, vert, or face select? Not like in sculpt how we mirror in that section?
Also i saw a bug that when i scale it too big it glitches out😀😀😀
Thank you very much. I am self-teaching myself about Blender, and when I FIRST opened tor program years ago (like YEEEEAAAAAARRRRRS ago) I was so immediately overwhelmed I just uninstalled it immediately and went somewhere else, lol. So videos like this are very helpful with me finally opening it and not running away immediately. I've been actually trying to use it seriously for about a year now.
like 300 years ago?
