He's constantly touring, writing music in several bands and started his own guitar company. Also before health issues he drank excessive amounts of alcohol but stayed away from drugs which had to be hard playing for Ozzy and living in the world of Rock Star excess. Seen him live with Oz and BLS and he is a sonic force that kicks you right in the balls. I met him and he is a humble friendly dude who really treats his fans with respect and appreciation. 🤘🎸🔊
Randy will always be my favorite guitar player. Jake E was an assassin. But Zakk is Ozzy's Lancelot. He has fought the most battles and won the most wars. Thank God Zakk hung around for as long as he did.

As a daily wearer of a kilt I am required to say that the difference between a kilt and a dress is that you wear underwear with the latter...and as a Retired Infantry NCO (Airborne) the main reason why I wear a Kilt is that after years of kicking people out of aircraft, following them and taking long walks in various climes with my bodyweight on my back...meeting various scumballs and sending them to serve me in Valhalla/Mag Mall my huevos are too bloody large to fit in trousers...
Just saw these guys last week. I brought my 15 year old kid (he's a drummer) to see Ozzy for his first concert. He was unreal, I would totally go again. Zak is insane. Was such a throwback to how I grew up in the 80's...this is what a rock concert is all about. Ozzy's a total showman...frickin awesome!

Oh Man!........Years later......I remember seeing Ozzy in 1976 or 77? (with Black Sabbath technical ecstacy) and I remember at one point in the concert he made an offhand comment (as if he were suddenly exhaling) and saying that "I don't know how much longer I can do this"........and here he is all these years later. My hats off to you sir. Your courage and endurance or whatever is outstanding and what is more I really dug all those years of your stuff and I think all of your guitarists (that you know are important) contributed something good to your band all those years and out of all of those I think Zakk Wylde is king. (of the guitarists). One of the great things about Ozzy is that he was one of the contributing artists of the original heavy metal sound. One of the great things about Zakk Wylde is he has the skills to take it to the next level in his guitar playing.

When you've done it that much for as long as Zakks been playing, you're going to start to play it differently simply out of boredom. Can Zakk play it note for note with the same tone as the original? Im positive he can. Does he have to? No! Hes fucking Zakk Wylde and he plays how he wants. This causes some people to whine and cry.

He’s not my kinda player. He sounds like a two trick pony to me. Fast pentatonic and pinch squealing. He’s undoubtedly a great guitarist in his own right, but to me he was always the worst guitarist ozzy had. I was surprised he beat out George Lynch’s third audition after dokken broke up, but it is what it is.

Saw this tour in 1984 in Las Vegas at the Thomas and Mack Center. I was 13 and my dad was cool enough to take my brother and I. Dad was a nuclear engineer at the Test Site and looking back at him at an Ozzy concert is pretty funny. Thanks Dad.
