Highlights of some of my favorite jack knife stunts. Working for Coordinator Bobby Minor, on the 1992 Michelle Pfeiffer film 'Love Field' Bobby, his effects team and I developed a completely different way to build a jack knife rig than putting a steering axle under the trailer. We needed to do a full 90 in-line with the two lane road, so George Fisher could crash the Chevy underneath. It was a two lane road with a turn lane for the bridge, so I had a very short distance to 'toss' the trailer sideways into a full 90 and bring it to a stop.
With the help of several stunt and SFX coordinators we evolved the technique.Joel Kramer added a lot for the Sandra Bullock film "Premonition', Stunt Coordinator Andy Gill along with Elia Popov and his JEM FX crew furthered the capabilities for "Fast & Furious' and thanks to the Verizon folks, we were able to build the most advanced version of the 'Love Field' set up.
