I understand people thinking that we added Formula 1 engine sounds to replace traditional diesel truck sounds, but the whine is real and it comes from the Gale Banks Racing supercharger on it.
Banks makes it. Ryan shakes it.

Bro its not the truck!!! its the fucking car i can hear both the high pitched supercharger off the truck and some random sound coming from the car that is not original
btown swiss guess you would have to be there to believe it... I was.. Mike has explained this multiple times over the past 7 months... guess people will believe what they want to believe regardless of the truth. Everyone is an expert online
Just want to thank all the viewers. We shot the whole thing in one day, with the exception of the jump, we got rained out at the end of the day and went back in the morning to do the jump. The crazy whine is the 8.3 liter supercharger and the ramps and the pavement were wet. It was a tough morning and we hurt the truck a little bit. Everything on the truck is mostly back to normal and we just loaded in at the Mid-America Truck Show in Louisville Kentucky today.

You know what I like about gymkhana? They leave the over-saturated editing crap until after they show the footage.
Mike Ryan is a sick dude and I love his truck and his driving but this editing doesn't let it shine like it should.
Now that I've seen it, I agree. If we could do it over, I would cut it in half time wise, work on the sound, the story, drop most of the actor parts and just focus on the action
I mean, from an action movie standpoint it's a great film. But yeah, this isn't an action movie. It's about a drift truck. We're more interested in the truck, including how it sounds, handles, etc... the scenes jumping very quickly are a bit too much... :S

@Mike Ryan drop the part where you clearly don't clear the smart cars and then have a camera angle that shows the truck never jumped over them but behind them
Let's see...I drive a semi for a living, one of my fav cars is a Nissan S13 240SX and there's DRIFTING!! Epicness!

Nothing wrong with the entertainment factor on this video. Very well done to those whom produced it / took part in it. I have a friend that would have loved to see it in person.He is a crazy Scotsman, that used to have a need for speed. He could make a WABCO 120 off-highway dump truck, do 'J' Turns, 90's, 180's, and just like the truck in the video, keep it spinning at 360, virtually on the same spot.Granted, it was diesel / electric drive, but he sure could make it do things the manufacturers never envisioned.He could only drift it on wet mud etc,but still, very entertaining. Again, nice presentation.

I drove for 30+ years and in all that time I NEVER had the excitement of this. I've driven across the state of Texas on I-10 in a little under 10 hours and that was a rush (also, that was many, many years ago too!!!). I like the part about the security guard on two wheels getting his picture taken by the driver of the truck. It had a lot of great footage, but to me the best part was when it switched to the kid winning the truck out of the grab machine.

Loved It! Truly amazing driving skills and top notch products from Banks Power to make that truck a beast. The drifting and stunts were well done considering the conditions. That charger sounded amazing! I can't wait to see the next video! Nicely done Mike!
