But I never took the amount they recommended, they prescribed 2 strips a day, I only take half of one a day. But this is year #2 and I'm afraid of stopping because I tried once and I had body aches and sadness so bad I had to get back on. I'm currently tapering down and it'll take me a year but I'm doing it! Wish me luck 🤞
I been on subs for 15yrs now with no relapsing and is the only thing that has kept me away from the dope, when I first started getting high there was no such thing as subs,I would go into detox and the only thing they would give you is a clonadine and a Tylenol lol not much of a help, went through withdrawals more times than I can count only to go back to the drugs within a week or 2,I will probably never come off of them because even after 15yrs I’m still scared I will go get high again if I came off,a lot of people talk shit about people on Subs but I could care less because I’m doing better than ever and even opened my own biz about 5yrs ago,any addict that tells me they are gonna try to ween themselves off I would say good luck but just remember it only takes one shot to OD and die
His name is Artie, not "this guys". Also, you clearly never saw him on Stern in the first 4 to 5 years (2001 to early 2006) when he was thin and didn't have a stutter. From early 2006 until the end of 2009 is when he became really fucked up on Stern. Also, he looked REALLY healthy about a year before he got fired (he lost a lot of weight and got a tan and a new girlfriend, but that didn't last).

This is one of the most natural conversations from the JRP. Seems like a lot of guests are just plugging something but this sounds like two old friends bullshnitting. Great listen!

I think he (Rogan) sort of owed Artie one -- their previous podcast (#618, 2015?) was Lange, clearly wasted out of his mind, slurring about "so what should we talk about to fill this dead air, I can name every Super Bowl match-up since 1970," and Joe awkwardly trying to express his concern, "Artie, how you doing, it's okay, you're not a bad guy, I want to help" -- not only a sad listen, but a real low point broadcast-wise. This is better.
"The problem with me is... everything escalates. If I put a $5 bet down on a roulette table, by tomorrow I'm running guns to Cuba." You can't teach that.

man i started heroin at 13 by 14 i was shooting by 15 i was a fully on junkie. i got on subs at 20 and had a child and everything changed, I have tried many many things to try to stay off dope and nothing worked but subs, suboxone saved me, took away the sickness and all the happy and sad things about being a junkie..i have now been clean for 11 y. i have relaspt 2 within those 11 y. but everyday i wake up take my meds and try. but i grow up watching Howard and artie was always my fav, because of his personality and honestly his struggle with drugs i so very much relate to..... i just simply love the dude! idk man im just grateful for celebrities like artie that come out with there struggles idk makes u not feel so alone in it all.. but i am sad about his face man, i miss his face haha i know thats stupid.. but growing up listening and watching these people u began to finda feel like u know them, and then i look and artie looks so different.. just kinda makes me sad, and sad for him... but im so so glad the dudes still with us fighting the fight.
I'm on subs to been to rehab 8 times im 20 a fetanyl and meth adfict fet is my main but subs n therapy works for me n working subs saved my life tho
I'm glad to hear ur good
@@mikehoncho5764 I'm on subs, I was a straight up Norco fiend and subs changed my life. No more need to get that high feeling anymore, plus while I'm on subs, I can't take anything anyways otherwise it'll put me into withdrawal.

That was by far, the funniest Joe Rogan Experience I have ever seen. Artie is pure GOLD!!!!
I’ve been following this guy since his Stern days, and I’ve NEVER seen him look this healthy.
Calm down Jessica....he didn’t mean to offend yo man!
Dan Maler he doesn’t even have a bad stutter lol. Ur a fuckin jabroni 🤣
he's got the same enthusiasm as when he was on the show (fortunately minus the drugs)

Loved Artie in Crashing! Such a great show. I hope he's still doing well!
This is one of the funniest jre's ive ever seen. Artie is a legend.
Definitely a legend.
Rogan isn't stoned out of his skull, it makes him a better listener. I really like this Rogan better then "giant apes" Rogan. Not to say that Artie isn't an absolute legend! I hope he stays on the wagon, but seeing past results it doesn't look promising
@@MrAppie9090 This was basically Joe giving cues, the show was totally run by Artie. Good thing though, I didn't know him. I guess I'm a fan now :)
@@Volkbrecht true, but there are other episodes where he seems to get stuck on a throwaway line halfway during a point a guest is making, and after the guest is done talking he goes on a tangent completely missing the point/joke. Check his legion of skanks episode for examples. Don't get me wrong, I still think he has a great podcast
Yes this instantly became one of the funniest shows of them all and that's saying a lot. I hope this happens again soon somehow.
This is one of the most natural conversations from the JRP. Seems like a lot of guests are just plugging something but this sounds like two old friends bullshnitting. Great listen!
Love you Artie.
Joe plugs products and friends in most of his podcasts, he just tries to make it sound like it comes up naturally in a conversation. This one doesn't seem like he's plugging anything which is heartwarming
He's plugging his sobriety, this was definitely a comeback to show to the world that he's sober and willing to get back to work like it's 2007.
Indeed. I enjoy the circle of comedians related here. Ready for another one. Artie can't go outta state more than a I think 24hrs he said. Maybe Joe can make another trip soon.
Artie's podcast is doing really well! 💞 Love it, a natural
Great to see Artie alive and well, he's an incredible inspiration.

That Chris Farley story had me rolling. He was my favorite comedian of all time, RIP. I'm glad Artie is still with us and getting better.
