My ignition did the same thing in the begining of the video. It locked forward, so I turned it back as hard as could and it broke. Now I don't even need a key. I can turn the igntion on wothout a key! It's so cool!

Thanks you helped me 100%of the way I had to deal with the original snap ring lmao idk what they made those things from but it should be made into body armor and I didn't have the right tool I ended up opening it up with a pair of sizzors otherwise piece of cake job it's my work truck so I left the ignition switch out and just use a pair of needle nose pliers to start it up

My ignition lock cylinder randomly comes out of place and just spins all the way and makes no contact and doesn’t start my truck, I have to fight with it and wiggle it for like 5 minutes like the way your were in the beginning of the video just to get it to start my truck, so I replaced it But noticed it was missing that plastic piece you take out around 10:31 in your video. I put everything back together with the new ignition lock cylinder and still have the same problem I’m guessing that white piece holds it in place and align everything better. Having a hard time looking for that part.
