I work at Toys R Us and mechanical stig came in one day and i saw this majestic beast parked in the carpark and i almost lost it and couldn't contain my excitement

Fuaarrkk I don't need to search it as I'm subscribed. I am commenting on the basis that this channel has only 300k subscribers vs 1.7 million on the main channel.
+c3vzn that's why it's called mcmtv2..... it was for bonus little features. And i guess now they promoted it to help get the subs up.
Search engine optimisation is a really good idea. Nobody finds mcmtv2 when searching for mighty car mods because there are no similar keywords.
+c3vzn somehow I think they made this by choice ..."harder" to find, to keep all the meddling kids out who scream "BUILT AN SUPRA, SKYLINE, MINI SUX BRUH" under every video. This is a place for the ..connoisseurs of MCM :D

+Saajan Chowdhry this show features Mechanical Stig and Turbo Yoda so we thought it was important they had their own dedicated show on MCMTV2 rather than mixing it up with other MCM vids. Still free, still epic, and still all over social media it seems :)

I think it's a good move for the boys, given this second channel has a mere 350,000 subscribers compared to there main channels 1,700,000 subscribers, hopefully this new series will help this second channel grow even further :)

MCM means a lot to me , I absolutely love hearing these guys get into the details of a project . Their love of cars and engineering helped inspire me to start uni to learn engineering . Cheers boys for all the great videos over the years and finding these absolute champions along the way .

I think it could have gone on the main channel. Turbo Yoda and Mechanical Stig are regular fixtures on MCM anyway. SuperGramps and ModMax never would have happened without them! This will be an epic build!
What I love about this is the attitude and approach "if it don't fit, we'll make it"...

+Wildstyle96 Well, I was aware of a weight to chassis law (cos I read about a team who were toying with an RX-7 and getting it's 13B turboed, but it wouldn't work due to weight issues in it's body), but not the capacity-weight rule.

+Epikas 400+ HP on low boost doesn't appeal? and torque?
Of course it is, but there is something about the inline 6 that makes the stagea feel more like the Skyline that it is based on. I guess coming from an R32, i'm a little stuck over on the RB engine. Also noise wise, my preference is on the sound of the inline 6 over a V8.

i saw one of these last year in seattle at Stance Wars and it absolutely took my breath away. i couldn't believe how perfect of a car this thing was. rb26dett, manual, awd and TONS of room for people and storage. i would take one of these over an r34 any day

what ive learned from this video, #1 australia has some super stupid rules about engine swaps. #2 turbo yota, dos vader, mechanical stig, marty, moog, etc just need to move to the usa so they can do more crazy mad projects. only down side is we cant import a car unless its 25 years old

They said in the video why they put a V8 in it, because they put 1-2J, and RBs in everything generally, and as the dude said it before me it's not just another LS or something. Pretty unique project.
I really like the "interview" shots. Little insights like they are giving are a nice touch.
In my opinion the LS series is a cancer in the Japanese tuning community
it's not your car, so why are you worried about it?
+Harry Sandbach i get what your'e trying to say, it kills unique engine setups because it's the most reliable option for power and the aftermarket support is huge. it irritates me too.
+Harry Sandbach Be happy that all those LSes are displacing the engines you love - every LS going in means another engine on the open market, driving prices down, down, down.
What's great about cars built in Japan not American 'JDM ' builds (left hand drive USDM cars) is the individuality and differences in tunes and parts used. You don't know if the silvia is RB20 turbo 400+ hp or if it's stock until you look under the bonnet. Now all you see in usa is LS swapped cars so it's boring. Even the iconic engined cars like rx7 and s2000 have LS swaps and it's just sacrilege. You ask a genuine enthusiast and they'll agree. I'm not a Puritan and I do like engine swaps just pay some respect to the cars heritage. That's my opinion anyway so go ahead and build a 'drift missile' 240sx but don't expect any admiration from enthusiasts.
+Harry Sandbach I totally understand viewpoints like 'but the f20 is half of why the (non-us) s2k is great!'. I loved my UK ep3 civic typer for its 8k redline. I was constantly amazed that my 97 e36 m3 evo revved even higher despite being a 3.2l inline 6. hell, i even live the twin turbo 3l diesel in my 535d and you BET I want to swap the 2l four pot in my wife's mk3 mx5 for an LS, even though its great fun and surprisingly fast as-is. I love all the things, and was trying to give you a silver lining to the thing you hate. And hating it is a thing you're totally allowed to do, if all the cars you see in the arenas you're interested in are stuffed with an LS, well, I can see where you're coming from. make friends with the teams though, and recycle the built blocks you love but they just leave sitting in a corner of their garage, so you have the most unique thing of all!

I am literally so happy right now I can't contain it, but at the same time don't have any idea on how to let it out! I'm very excited about this series for a few reasons. Love Stageas and I personally have a VH45, very similar to the VH41 going in the car. I must own a Stagea!

Love it! It reminds me of a proper 850 turbo. The wife wouldn't let me get the 850 t. She said it looked like a box. I tried every angle to get her to like it. It's has a turbo (which she wanted). It is super safe (just had a baby). I showed her how it would look after I changed a few things ( lower a little,tint and wheels and tires. Still no go. Ugh.
We ended up getting a STi though. So it wasn't a complete lose. Sweeeeeet.

I love the entire back catalogue of MCM pretty much but it's cool to see more in depth technical stuff happening, this was very explanatory and I'm really hoping that continues for engine mount design, bellhousing adapter and clutch combination etc. Super interested!
The funniest thing about MCM, to me anyway, is the way Moog Says Martins name. It's the enthusiasm and delivery of the name that makes it funny.
