@@BuccaneerBruce that's fair. I'm not sure I'd call Hagen Smith a low ceiling reliever though. 16 starts and 2 04 Era with .144 baa. Screams starter, but Gruffin could be an option here
As a Royals fan I’d be thrilled with any of Bazzana/Condon/Caglione/Burns/Smith/Wetherholt. I know that those first 4 aren’t likely to make it to 6 but we have seen some odd Slot Money deals made before. Considering that the Royals have multiple Top 100 caliber prospects on the position player side (Cross and Mitchell come to mind right away but don’t sleep on Carter Jensen, Cayden Wallace, or Carson Roccaforte either) the pitching side is still rather barren, especially above A ball. Either one of Smith or Burns would inject some high octane upside on the pitching side and that would be much appreciated. However we also need to remember that the Royals both have a new Scouting Director who supposed to be really good and they have only taken 3 HS Bats in the 1st since the Bubba Starling pick and those 3 are Bobby Witt, Nick Pratto (who was a Top 100 guy who made the big leagues which they don’t all do), and Blake Mitchell so if they do take a HS Bat I believe that’s gonna say more positive things about that player than negative. It’s gonna be an interesting Draft for sure…
@@mtverv I agree the Royals and their fans should be happy with any of those top 6. I appreciate your insight into the Royals system. I think a college arm that could produce at the big league level in the next 2 years would be a huge boost. The position players are coming, but the pitching depth needs some improvement. I appreciate the comment and hope you enjoy the draft!
JJ Wetherholt to the Angels makes sense if he's still there. Neto Wetherholt and O'Hoppe up the middle sets this team for 10-years.
@@MartyKeegan it would be a great fit for the Angels if still available
Yes Padres will 100% draft a prep, It'll either be Slade Caldwell, Theo Gillen, or my personal favorite, Kash Mayfield. That name just markets itself.
@@Jukeboxster feels like the Padres always do this. Those 3 could all be an option here
I'm a Royals fan and I don't like drafting a low ceiling/high floor reliever for a possible 2025 playoff run. Griffin would be my pick there.

DBACKS going for the catcher? That’s interesting to say for the least
They were tough. They have a comp pick just after the first round too so thought it was a possibility
@@3up3down that’s is true. Because we technically need a stud catcher anyways
@@ruski2376 always tough to project catchers. Always need depth in the system.

I’m a Phillies fan. I need an outfielder

Hagen Smith better fit for the Rockies

What about Dylan Dreiling
