Hey Dereck! That's a good point about people sharing their collections. We all share in different ways, and sometimes I'll give a little story about what the record means to me/how I found the band, but sometimes I just want to share and let it speak for itself.

I remember sitting on the front porch 60 years ago with my neighborhood friends admiring the cars as they ride by, and picking out our future car we will drive when we get our license. They of course in time be referred to as classic cars, which we of course had no idea of at the time. Happy with the VP choice. Speaking of sharing records, I thought of you earlier: I was digging around my basement and found my copy of Quique by Seefeel, and I remembered you sharing your copy in an older video. (Apparently the title is pronounced "keek," which I didn't know until today.)
Phil Collins has had some of the worst treatment from the U.K press and public over the years. I don't know if you treat artists better in the U.S, but over here there's historically been an attitude of needlessly trashing artists.
Hello Dereck, took me awhile to cozy up to Then there were 3 but yes I do appreciate it more now, and agree with the sound, sorta compressed and it’s like huge atmosphere of music shoved thru a pencil thin tube.....excellent choice on running mate (IMO) enjoy your Don Cherry albums......be safe out working in the yard....we still have 90° plus today but!! Tomorrow should be a ten degree shift for the better- cheers D! ✊🏻🎶☮️
I had been wondering how you feel about the Buttholes / if you had seen them live. It's likely you've commented on them before however. Huge band for me growing up and I still highly rate their Psychic Powerless Another Mans Sac.
i’m curious to hear your thoughts on sampling? i discovered a lot of the bands and artists you show from modern producers sampling them (gentle giant, soft machine, gong) and one of my university lecturers was mike howlette from gong which was an incredible experience
