I'd get that lens calibrated ... got an Elmar 90 f/4 collapsible and I'm able to focus it extremely well with my M3 - such a joy to use it with the rangefinder!
I like that this lens doesn't have an excessive amount of coatings that crush the blacks like my nikon prime... Thank you very much for demonstrating how much you can edit it. I got this as a budget lens for my nikon z5 and leica tl2 - I know it's not optimal and m lenses are soft around the edges on non leica m cameras, but that's exactly why I didn't splurge on the asph version :) It's arriving tomorrow and I can't wait to see if the z5's IBIS will work with it - from what I saw in my online research, it should.
For better focusing, I bought a 1,4 x magnifier for the view finder. It's a great help, but the EVF is better. There are still R-lenses out on the market for a reasonable price tag, and they can be used on the M240 with an adaptor. Keep on rolling!
Hi Nathan good review and it seems you bought it at the right time :). Just a question at 10:12 we can see of the top left Noctilux-M 1:1.2/50 ASPH.... Do you confirm this picture was taken with the 90mm and not the 50mm ? even if the perspective seems to be well from a short tele I am wondering why this text appears... Thx for confirmation.
Its lightroom guessing what lens I used because there is no transferred metadata from the camera. I didn't use that lens....wish I could afford one though😉
A slight negative! Many Tele-Emarit 90mm suffer a non fixable haze in back elements. The Voigtlander 90mm doesn't. The Voigtlander lens is not an Apo!. I used my 90mm for many years. It was very worn. It was stolen. Never replaced!

A cool lens, would this not be best for portrait? I love to see images utilizing the f 2.8. Thanks for sharing.
