That PSP repair has crazy nostalgia for me. i was 13 years old when I repaired mine and I had to replaced that same board because I had a broken power switch. That feeling of accomplishment is what sparked my interest in everything I repair now (as a hobby) 15 years later. THANK YOU JOE!!! I didn't realise i needed that :)
Same here, my 2006 DS fat used to have issues with the charging system and i gave up 13 years ago... 3 Years ago i decided to try it and repair it succesfully and since that, +20 consoles repaired and have a little profit as my hobbie :)
Great vid as always! Couple things for the PSP. The console is hanging because it can't read the UMD. It might need a new lens/assembly depending on whether it was spinning or not (cant tell from the vid). I advise manually pressing the lever inside the disc tray a few times because sometimes they just seize up a little, you should see it console side sticking out and is activated when the UMD hits against it letting the console know one is inserted. Also the clock wouldn't have lost the time because you left the battery inside, you need to remove it and see if the time has been kept.
Great fix on the switch! If you need a psp donor board and umd drive let me know, I bought a job lot of psp 1000 parts on eBay last year so have loads of spares you can have!
Great video again Joey. I always wonder does Roy ever sleep? Doesn’t matter what time someone writes in the discord server, Roy is there 😂 Great guy always gives great advice
I really enjoy seeing those trace repairs with added solder mask, do you have an affiliate link for the specific one you use? (couldn't find one in the description)
first impression on the switch: if the customer had it stored for years not using it, it's probably a battery that's discharged way too far. might need extensive charging to come back to life.
Nice to see you trying on a PSP. Loved that handheld. That switch had you worried for a second there before it showed up..😂 nice to see more profit. Soon we'll hit 0.
9:15 How can someone think this is adequate packaging for a Nintendo Switch?! No box, no bubble wrap, no protection at all - throw it into a padded Jiffy bag and call it a day 😯
Most people that are selling bug infested consoles are sadly blind to the fact that it’s disgusting and don’t see an issue with it. It’s just a normal thing for them. I don’t mean it disrespectfully but that’s just the way it is. Not really any way to detect it unless you’re in person.
I LOVE your channel! I find myself cheering when you cheer! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! :)
That switch trace repair was really pro. Impressed!

I fall asleep to Joeys every night. I’ve watched over 100 episodes so far, I don’t think they’ve been in order though 😂😂
I know nothing about electronics. I don't know why I like this content, but I do enjoy watching the process
That switch was and is a pure gem!
Well done Joey! You deserve a decent run of profits after your perseverance.. awesome
Great job on the repair Joey, keep up the great work
Thanks for the amazing content Joey! Keep it up!!

Great vid, what a repair on the switch!
I haven't fixed one yet, after your video I want to take one apart, good job 🎉
The technical part that you call a filter is a ferrite bead, in case you ever want to order them from a component supply shop.
Joey is really getting into his stride 😀👍
Subbed way back on episode 18, that was yesterday!!! Talk about binge watching great content!!! Sally might like graphic card repairs ??
A good week for Sally. Nice trace repair, very tidy. Which model microscope do you use Joey? Your link takes us to all the Andonstar Microscopes.
I got a small crafts hammer that i use to flatten trace wire when needed

Yesssss more Joey
The internal clock battery is almost certainly dead. The test for that is to remove the main battery, not just power it off.
YEEEES JOEY 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nice GG
CN is usually short for CoNecttor - iirc it is a schematics standard
4:00 CN = Connector
6:09 it obviously stands for fire department! lol
YESS!!! A PSP!!
I have a psvita, awesome emulation machine

The best version of the PSP so easy to mod so it can read homebrews
Nice work Joey! What air speed do you use on your hot air for that little filter?
Think that was the full whack 99% bud :)

Tis should be called "no profit just loss"
I'm currently waiting on a retro console lot i bought on ebay, 2 nes, 2 n64 and a gamecube
Good batteries, Jake?! lol 🗨🤣🔭🍊🌌
CN stands for Connector
don't worry, Joey. Nobody uses umds
I bought a software issue ps4 pro on ebay and it was filled with dead bugs. How do you verify there is no dead bugs when you buy consoles?

You know you can get faulty reading on components that are in circuit
I bought a psp and it had a messed up power switch. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore.
How do you make work/business doing this if you only go even or even in loss..?
I have a psp doner board I can send you.
another banger video!
Has anyone ever told you that you look a bit like Photonicinduction @Photonvids?
