I like that you care about what you sell when repaired.
Personally, if you fix a water damaged device and it appears 100% functional and clean and let people know it was water damaged i'd have no problem with you selling it.
But it's good to stand by your morals.
A working device is a working device.
Specially on electronic devices a fault can always appear in the future
Depending on local laws he might have to give warranty on it which might come to bite him. Rather just ship stuff out that won't fail again.
I think if you ran it through an ultra sonic cleaner for the 1st switch lite. It would have been perfectly ok to sell it over. Great video regardless joey.
That is the happiest i've seen Sally in awhile! Good job as always, joey!
The white crust is not corrosion Joey it's electrolysis reaction, the green is corrosion and that second board would have cleaned fine bud, but it may of needed a new card reader lol
the hdmi capacitor might have shorted the ps5 for the seller making no light, and it may have been dislodged in transit by postal service throwing the box around. good repair anyhow.
Speaking of excess parts / failures / etc you may want to do a single bulk listing for different types of things. So if you have a bunch of switch lite that were not fixable, put them together and sell them for once price. Even if you take in 100 or so, it would fluff the balance sheet nicely.
Oh yes! We are climbing the ladder! Thank you for the good entertainment and have an awesome day yourself!
Joey I really want this series to continue this is one I’m always so excited to watch! Is there a way to say when you hit £1000 then make a higher goal but also include labour or find a way to make it a little more challenging to coin a profit ☺️ this also would be cool to show even when your at a loss you can still learn to profit for the future.
Love your work, keep it up and I’m so glad you’ve found your passion and your true calling congratulations Joey! All the best
Thank you! Appreciate the support. I think we may see a Season 2 on the horizon, but I'll have to see 😊
I had a thought for a cell on your spreadsheet. I know you are working to get to £1,000. How about adding a cell showing the max profit you have gotten to so far and the max loss you have gotten to so far. I remember you were ridding high at one point, but then went in the hole for a while. It could be interesting to see how high and how low you have been through out this process.
Love the videos!! Very intersting and I have learned a lot. Keep up the good work.
enjoying the videos , thanks!
Good to see more POL episodes there Joey 👍
With switch and other boards that have been water damaged a bath in an ultrasonic with board cleaning solution will clean it up i'm not sure what temp the plastic connectors are rated for but a table top convection oven that starts at 100 or 150 can be used to dry and in some cases reflow 🙂
Sally must be very happy great video 👍👍👍👍
The Channel that proves that electrician is no longer a viable job
Another great video joey 👏 👌 👍
I dont understand why the hesitation w the 1st Switch. If you clean and test it, disclose that it had been water damaged but repaired and tested, why not sell it?
Got lucky with those ebay purchases!!
8:26 just noticed it looks like the port saysi "UAU" can't unsee it now.
I've noticed it's been getting harder to sell stuff on eBay too. I've been selling a lot of stuff that I can get away with locally.
Nice repairs! ,👍
Fresh Joey!
Great fixes go sally
Someone is going to have a bad time buying a console with "only" HDMI damage 😢
still the best series i like to stream :) btw you can work with numbers within a single excel cell, no calculator needed
I have some insight on why PS5s aren't moving that well on eBay. I don't know which of these problems take precedence so I'm just going to list them all. Skepticism of legitimacy, shipping damage because that liquid metal if it gets kicked around by UPS comes right out, the PS5 slim is a better console all around, and the PS5 pros right on the horizon. You also got people who are looking for a steal.
I payed £30 for a psvita spares and repairs, in description stated not working, and all the issue was I replaced charger lead.
hey joey! where did you get your microscope swivel? been looking for one
Took alot of Ls at the beginning. But briught it back.
Not normally a tech repairs person... Built occassional pc. But enjoy the series none the less
after having fixed an item if they get in touch saying they sent you the wrong one like on the ps5 you just did do you swap it or tell them no ?
Nudge it more then once your playing with it! 😂
What is your eBay, I feel more comfortable buying tech when it’s been repaired like this
Another great repair video! I was curious as to where you got the stand for your microscope?
It's a simple VESA monitor arm mount, with a 3d printed bracket for the microscope :)
@@JoeyDoesTech Is there a stl file available somewhere, or is that something you designed? I tried looking but couldn't find anything similar. Thanks
you should have fixed that one it was an easy fix you usually fix worse staff than that
Joey do you ever encountered a hardware banned PS5? I bought one from eBay and fixed the HDMI port but the console says “this ps5’s service access is permanently or temporarily suspended”. Dunno what to do…
Joey if flying he’s getting to good at this🤪 also think Sony using loads cheep parts I remember Sony products being superior quality when I was younger people sill go mad for older Sony hi Fi separates
Why did you replace the solder completely on the PS5 when you said it wasn't necessary when repairing the switch?
he said that the solder used on the ps5 isnt good and comes loose easily and i guess that isnt the case on the switch
Just put in ultrasonic cleaner the first Nintendo
Ebayer seller no idea why it won't turn on 😂
Great Repairs and Video, as Usual! OCD Joey, the cap was crooked on the PS5. 😊 Thank You.
5:30 u just shot that component out, u didn´t notice
yes, i saw later that u replace it, My apologize, Great Job Keep going

Just come from the live stream. I was the guy that arrived 2 mins before it ended. My timing is amazing like that!
a shame you didnt fixed that lite, i didnt really saw anything that really meant it couldnt be fixed, still great video
never stop recording even the port swap parts, it is very good content to watch and know thst there is people fixong devices, earning money and doing good jobs on youtube
Oh, another ps5.
You keep hoping that the warranty sticker is intact. Why don't you request pics of the warranty sticker before buying, just saying. The PS5 port getting shoved back like that is very common in my area. Almost every time it is a result of the unit getting knocked over and the HDMI cable shoves the port in. BTW, it's not OCD it is actually OCPD, I got it too.
Please do some ps3s...
WOOOW not welcome your faces? whaaaat. unsubbed immediately
I want to by this switch for 30 pounds if you sell it!!!
If you enjoy the content, please consider hitting the subscribe button as we're closing in on 50k 😊 Thank you and have a great week! ❤
Joey why don’t you do the return boxes for the profit or loss same as a lot seem be doing think fit your profit or loss series very well😅
Hey bro are you interested in my old graphics card GTX 460? I put it on freecycle, but if you want it before someone else takes it just shout and I'll post it to you. Reluctant to thow it away as it never got phsyically damaged afaik. I was using it for years in Windows 7 updated to 2016, working from home, when my work decided to install a Zoom plug-in update via Citrix. Upon exiting Citrix my machine shut down and on restart blue screened, naming the driver file (skl...sys something). I re-installed Windows 7 many times, updated to multiple dates incl the full update series, to suit a range of Nvidia drivers available for the card and Win 7 dates. Each time it blue screened the same. I then went to Windows 10 and still it blue screened. My feeling is that the software update somehow impacted the graphics card's BIOS.
