Great work. As a retired Navy parachute rigger, fond memories come to mind when I watch you operate your industrial sewing machines.
I was a stitch bitch as well but on the USMC side. Did you go to school at NATTC Memphis? I know they moved the school to Pensacola in 1997 or 1998 (I attended in 1996). My school was mixed branches so it was Marines, Navy and Air Force.
Love this project Steve. You've made the extension look like it's been there from the beginning.
Cheers.
Fantastic work as always Steve! Wouldn’t have noticed the alterations at all if I didn’t know.
Your addition looks like an original design. Well done Steve!
You'd never know, and that's probably the best compliment you can say. Another top job Steve.
Suggestion, you could use a case/rock tumbler with abrasive stones to weather leather etc. before you add them on to work to get the look just right!
Not one person in the world would know you extended the sleeves…well I take that back, 8 thousand people know! 😂😂😂 Another beautiful job brother! Thanks for sharing!
There's nothing quite like watching a Master at work..you make it look easy! Excellent work!
Steve! I’ve been watching you from almost the beginning. I love catching up with you and your projects. I miss the old hammertime laser cut art piece you had. Glad to see you’re doing well and that business is booming!
I know what's like working with a bad thumb Steve. I lost one of mine at 4yrs old and about 4-5 yrs ago I sliced my good one length wise and boy I was a mess working with 8 fingers and 1/2 a thumb for a few weeks! Lol Nice work on the jacket it looks great 👍🏻
11:59 looks much better than adding an extension to the end of the sleeve which most of these i've seen do. Also adds to the design, looks nice with that strip you're pointing at.
Steve was wondering where you were. Glad your okay! Let's continue 🥰👍
Ohhh that is a smart way of doing it, so it can't be seen and the design of the jacket looks the same 👍😊
Don't stress we know a lot of people wants your help writh things they love 🌹🥰
Big hugs from Denmark 🌹🥰💝
Those older Schott jackets were the best. They made jackets for Harley Davidson for some time. If you've got a Schott HD jacket, you've got a collectors item.
I am sorry you had a accident on your thumb, but you still did great job 👏🏻
Looks fabulous; love the symmetry of the two inserts.
As a rider, I’d definitely approve this change! Perfect, Steve, as usual! Always love your humor! 😂Hugz, Tree
I enjoy how you trouble shoot these projects and the creative solutions you come up with. Nice job.
Great project and you’d never know that extension has taken place. Terrific job Steve…….shine on
Good job. Reminds me of the time a friend asked me to lengthen the sleeves on a suit jacket. I'm just a hobbyist tailor but he put his trust in me. After pulling the sleeves apart, I found enough extra material turned in at the cuffs for me to work about +1¾". Had to press out the original folds then remake cuff pleats and faux button holes at the new length. Hardest part, strangely, was adding extra length to the lining. Took me a while to work out. Result was good and my friend was happy with it.
I had that same Perfecto jacket in 1985. I bought it from Sears for $130 and wore it for years. I gave it away as I got older and too big for it.
Great job! It did look good on you!!! 😊
When u said what u did too ur thumb it made my legs hurt that’s a sign of empathy god bless you and your family
Great job as usual Steve. Thanks for the video.
Looks great Steve!! It's worth waiting for your work.

You look good in that jacket, Steve.
Nice alteration there. Good to see the thumb is getting more gooder. Neosporin is your friend during the healing process. (But a pro would use Bick4!!) LOL
It's a treat to see you work on all the different projects you take on, good stuff
Excellent video as always! God bless you and yours Steve! God bless!
You're a clever man Steve that jacket looks just great.
Great work once again...
Great job as always!!!! Lars
A difficult job well done Steve !
Great work buddy!!!
I like your laugh & sense of humour Steve!
Excellent alteration!
It looks awesome.
Great work .Chapeau .
Master class work!
Love your work, you never seize to amaze me Steve O have a nice day .😊
Just to note: Sometimes a jacket can give 1-2in on the sleeves by applying lots of moisture and stretching from the center. Worth considering before making alterations.
Hammer time always takes time to make the perfect job on time
awesome work!
Another awesome video , thank you my brother !!!!!!!
Turned out nice! 🙂👍🏽
Good problem solving. Nice job.
dude, that added piece fits perfectly! sick job man!
Looks great! Very innovative way to add length to it
Thumbs (out of all the fingers) to get hurt, suck the most. I stabbed my hand by mistake a few years back, lost some functionality in my pointer, but i can still type extremely fast on a keyboard because i learnt to work around it, but when i nearly decapped my thumb... oh boy. I felt it in everything i do, from using keys to holding a hammer or a box knife, even reading a freaking book was a chore. Opposable thumbs are the hottest slice since sliced bread and we really can't do without them.
Hi Steve. Great job again. I like the way you think, no short cuts, no tricks and detail oriented repairs.
Love your work Bedo , greetings from the UK XX
Genius, absolute genius.
class jacket great job steve
Amazing alteration, Steve (but what's new LOL)!! I understand business is booming but take it easy, my man; you know that you need all of those 'digits' to keep doing these great projects that you receive.
Nicely done..
Great job dude
Great job as usual Steveroo... I would have never thought about how you lengthened that sleeve at both top and bottom... Awesome ...Greg
Wonderful skill
I wanted to see how the back turned out with the stiffener. Beautiful work with the sleeves.
I wondered how that was done..thank you..
Hope your thumb heals soon, God bless Steve
VERY nice solution. VERY nice job. Reasonable price. 👍🏻
Wow you make it look so easy ! Amazing proyect well done!!
Lols, “maybe in my younger years”😂 you & me both, brother🤪
I can’t breathe! Im turning blue! But gosh that jacket suited you Steve 😂
when you said "schott.... perfecto jacket" I thought you said shot as in there was a bullet going through it LOL, then I saw the title
Awesome
Perfecto job , Steve 👍☕️
Great attention to detail, man! Breaking it up with half at the top in back, and half at the bottom in front, makes it look like it was designed that way from the get go!😃👍🏻
Steve: It is always instructional to see different types of projects that need different solutions. That is the secret to your creativity. At the beginning of the video, I try to guess how you will fix the jacket. I, of course, was wrong. A really elegant solution. If we hadn't seen the original, the extra panels would never be noticed. Thank you. (being super busy is what we call 'A Problem of Success')
Thumbs up for Steve's thumb! 👍👍👍
I do love a good leather jacket sending love to you and your family ❤️👍
great job
Who say the lengthening has been done! Excellence is the name of the game!👌
You looked pretty cool with the jacket xD
Steve my man! You never seem to amaze me, your work is just god level!!!
Nice job
You got pretty good technique’s up
Your sleeve…ruff’en up the new added leather to the sleeves.
Be well, get well 👍🏼
this jacket suits you very well, Steve 🤘😉
In the crafts industry, cuts and scrapes heal faster because your constantly in paint thinner, turpentine etc., it tends to dry them up faster. Keep the bandage off and the wound clean as possible. It comes with the territory.
Молодец отличный мастер 👍💯
Sorry about your boo-boo hope it gets all better soon.
worst case make them sign something that says this is what you requested and that its on the customer if it doesn't fit when done. this way they know for sure. I get you want them to be happy at the same time but at least this way you are covered in a case of someone not understanding that aftwards
You do really great work. Parkinsons aint even a challenge.
Good night Steve ONLY ,a iconic jackett ,for a dandy man are YOU .Regards from Spain⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎩
Great work! I was wondering if you do any work on KLIM textile mesh jackets. I have a 4xl KLIM induction Jacket that I would like to be made smaller to a 3xl. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank You!
Out of curiosity, what kind of leather are jacket made of Steve? how is it different from the leather shoes are mode out of? Thank you!
You forgot to show the back where you added the reinforcement. AND what did you do about the lining of the sleeve?
I only ask because I redo similar projects with fabric . Thanks, Steve. Love your videos and your smart Alec remarks. Lol
I didn’t forget, it was not that exciting to see also I added to the lining
@@BedosLeatherworksLLC ok. Don't worry. I'm OCD about the small shit. Sorry
👍
😂😂😅😅 Breeeeaath!! Superb work again
Can you do a zipper extension? About 3 inches. Love my old jacket but love beer too. Thanks Ken
Anything is possible
TY,,,,,,WOW incredible very interesting great information super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
Question. I usually wear regular jackets. I purchase an Schott Bomber jacket from the 70s and ir was a long. The sleeves tend to fold and the material in the wrist area can actually be somewhat hidden and it looks like its just the leather. So Should i shorten the sleeve or just rock out with it?
HI, STEVE!!! I think you'd look good in leather...😋
Dude! Just took a chunk out of my thumb today.
Que bueno
