If I remember correctly, steering is done by cables attached to the front runners...and those cables end in knobs in the driver's hands. No actual steering wheel or similar structure. Which makes sense when you have to consider the driver getting in and weight factors.
Its scary how you have the driver responsible for 3 other people saying that he couldn't see, and he doesn't want to. You would think there would be a vision test or something.
He said he has 20/20 and is better without it. If it was safer and better for him to drive while seeing more clearly, he would do it. He's a gold medalist, he does this to win.
