I use a natually dirty amp (Vintage 47 Spectator) a tube reverb unit and an Earthquaker Overdrive pedal. You can mimic this tone with a Roland Cube on the Classic setting....it's almost spot on.
It's got a (pretty much) standard power chord strum, where the G chord is is strummed up down and the Bb and C are one hit each. UDUDUDU D D D ( D being Down and U being Up) I also incorporate the the bass line in it as well and that is a thump thump thump....real fast like da da da da da da da da ... its almost stacatto .... Classic rock is more about the big fat power chords than rhythm per se. I hope this helps... and thanks for the kind words and the message on FB
Swwweeeet! This is the first song my guitar teacher taught me when I walked in with my goofy CBG. You've taken it to the next level though!
Awesome....Your success is my success
Awesome video as are all your others. Thanks for your tutorials!

What is the strumming rhythm you are doing for this lesson? Timing and up/downs?
For the signature just down down down bang bang bang......for the meat a typical up and down.
