I personally dislike this album. All of the other albums have songs I really enjoy, but this album seems a little mainstream and repetitive. Plus, it signals Slipknot becoming more of a brand than a family. The last album that I feel had "family energy" was Vol. 3.

I Love Corey's new vocal style on this record like it's a great mixture between the new Grey Chapter voice and a throw back to the Iowa voice, it's a perfect blend.

I was not a Slipknot fan for the longest time. But when my Ex-Husband and a friend sat me down showed me some lyrics and explained the back round of Cory Taylor and other members, I was amazed and grateful. Then I seen them without the masks and was hooked. The more I listened and watched the more I was hooked. I love Slipknot and their music. Much love and respect.

Slipknot's recent content is like beer, an acquired taste. The more you listen to it, the more you like it. It's unique and not for every-man or every-mood, but by not even scratching the surface of this album I'm already impressed.

Much like beer I wasn’t a big fan of their new album at first. But the more I listened to it (and with better headphones, I grew to love it more. I think I still prefer WANYK, but this album is still solid.

Been listening to Slipknot religiously ever since I first heard the Iowa album. Love anything these boys put out, helped me through some crazy times.

Nah warranty, The Chapeltown Rag, and The Dying Song are the best songs on this album.
Best song on the album is Medicine for the Dead.. followed closely by Acidic. Both songs are great
@@gabrieltheuws8680 agreed. All the "heavy" tracks on this album leave much to be desired. They're formulaic and feel tacked on just for the sake of appeasing fans of older Slipknot. If they're gonna continue to make heavy shit, I'd prefer if they'd lean into it harder. For instance, Nero Forte and AOV are both great "classic" Slipknot tracks. Warranty, Hivemind, and H377 just sound like b-side tracks

I love how they are progressing more and more with each album! People want them to sound like their old stuff, you can tell that those people aren’t musicians which is not a knock on them. Every good band will progressively change with almost every album in their careers cause its boring to do the same thing over and over again, you want to challenge yourself and man these guys are certainly doing just that! We are not your kind was a definite switch to a more progressive sound and so far this one sounds a lil more like that too, their most grown up album!!! Love it guys!!!!

This song is amazing. This whole album is solid. Don’t know why so many folks disliked it. I mean it was leaked which could’ve been the reaction at best but they need to warm up to it. It took me 2 years to warm up to AHIG!
Everyone hated wanyk at first remember that. Now a lot of the same people love it
I thought it was crap on my first listin, but I've listened to it 4 times now and each time I hear it it gets better. The complexity is off the chain. I think that's why on my initial listen I didn't like it. People just need to warm up to it.

Honestly, just took a listen to the album, except for this and hivemind, I feel like everything else was lazy and too light for my liking. And also, hate Corey's vocals. Not "just like iowa" that they claim it is like. Still no hate just stating my honest opinion

Actually many things on this album reminds me of prior albums. The intro of The sade = prosthetic intro, outro of hivemind = sulfur outro, the dying song intro = sic, etc.. I take it as an absolute gift to the fans! Craig's work here is at its finest, so malovent and cool!

@@marishatingle397 That's legendary. I remember putting my son onto them and he still to this day loves them. Hes in 5th grade and holds a very different music taste compared to the rest of his class. I remember those days myself. I have been wanting to take him to see them live.
