  • "Vacuum Technique" - is a technique based on a Body Flex model designed by Greer Childers in the 80s. This was a wonderful technique which promoted weight loss. The theory behind it, when you cut oxygenation and tighten a specific part in your body, you start burning fat cells in that area.
    I personally started using this technique after I gave birth to my first child. It was great and effective. I lost weight, flattened my abs within a few months. While I wanted to go back to the same routine after giving birth the second time, I visited a pelvic floor physiotherapist who taught me a completely different breath pattern.
    With the adapted breath and proper technique, the results are amazing. It improves digestions, stimulates peristalsis, flattens the abs, burns fat and reduces inches in your size. The full program takes about 20 minutes, however you may adapt it for yourself and choose (2-3) exercises that you like.
    This is truly an amazing program. Try it out today and it wont be long until you start seeing results.

    I did Body Flex years ago and got into the best shape of my life! I toned, lost weight, and was able to finally start training for half marathons. I had to quit using the program because of the strain on my pelvic floor and started noticing weight coming back on. I found your video while searching for the Body Flex program and I couldn't be happier!!!! I love the gentler breathing, and the effect is the SAME! Win!!! Already several inches down in only a few days. THANK YOU!!!!!

    So happy to find this! Thank You Very Much! Love Body Flex! I just commented on another video that Greer was ahead of her time when she developed her program because the "Stomach Vacuum" was based on the same technique. I just found it uncomfortable at times even though it does work very well. This looks to be a more comfortable way to perform the exercises. Please share more!

    I've been looking for BodyFlex videos on youtube but they're all such poor quality or broken up into multiple sections. I'm so happy to find this routine and your pilates series. Thank you! I hope you keep making new videos.

    This is from Rashelle Haines life lift/oxygen lift. Rarely do content creators give her credit and its so sad. She's Greer's former sister in law who taught her this and then Greer made it more harsh. What you are doing is Rashelle's gentle version.

    Thank you so much! I’ve been doing body flex for years. Her technique was kind of forceful, but it sure did get the mucus out my chest. Lol. I love your video, much gentler. And yes, you will go to the bathroom afterwards. Lol. Oh boy..

    The difference here is that while it's gentler and great for the stomach, it won't clear the lungs the way Bodyflex does. BTW that's just a rebranded ancient yogic breath technique. So this is great, but it doesn't do the same things for my lungs.

    • @peonyx9911
      @peonyx9911  3 роки тому +6

      Absolutely, the exercises are the same. I just suggested different breath technique without forceful exhalations. Slightly opening the mouth and breathing out as if you are fogging the mirror (from the back of the throat).
      Forcing the “exhalation” may push on the pelvic floor, which may loosen up the muscles in that area.

    I bought Greer Childers Bodyflex tapes years ago. I started using them, but used to get intense headaches about halfway through. I did it for a few weeks, but got nervous about the headaches so stopped. I can't say that I got any results. I was, recently, reminded about Bodyflex while searching the internet. There were incredible before and after pics and testimonials. This led me to Amazon reviews. Wow ! Does she have a STRONG and LOYAL following. So I found a couple of Greer's workouts on youtube. I had been doing different ones( Shapely Secrets, Abdonda, the original one) ,but finally settled on the 9 minute advanced. I'd say I mixed it up for about 2 weeks, then I stopped again, because some of them promise results in a week and I saw none...But I came back to the 9 minute advanced. I've been doing it for about 2 months, watching what I eat, and walking a few days a week. No noticeable change.. I'll admit, I don't weigh or measure myself, but I have clothes I'm trying to get back into
    ( I swear some of them feel tighter...). They are definitely not looser. Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong? I don't want to give up on this. I like the method in this video; no headaches. ( I was, still, getting the headache with the advanced, at first, but found if I don't exhale quite as aggressively, I don't get one or it subsides quickly...)Anyway, sorry this is so lengthy. I'm just so frustrated. I want those results. I would love to hear, from someone who has been successful with this; about how you did the program( how often you did the workout, how long before you saw results, what your results were, etc). Thanks in advance 😘

      Hi there. I used to do those exercises mostly to stretch my muscles. I did get some results, but I suspect the key to success was low carbohydrate diet and daily cycling for about 40-60 minutes in the morning. Later I also started consuming some L-carnitine, but mostly for extra strength during cycling, and I'm not sure if it had any impact at all. So, I assume I got visible results in three months predominantly due to morning cycling and a low-carbo diet.

      @@tazaoumur Hi Taza. Thanks for responding. That's interesting. I have continued to do bodyflex. It's been, at least, 3 full months. I'm not keeping strict account( it usually works out better for me if I don't overthink) Within that time, I may have missed 3 to 4 days. I have been doing 25 minutes, or more , per workout. Still, no startling results. I've also been walking and doing some, short, leg workouts. I do think that I've had some, small, amount of toning, but, again, nothing startling. My clothes are fitting just a tad looser... frustrating. I've become a pear shape and my whole purpose is to lose the saddlebags and tighten up those areas. I have tried too many diets. I do think I've had some success with low carb in the past. The crazy thing is, I'm only about 20lbs overweight( I put that on during this pandemic), so I'm baffled as to why it's been so hard to lose it. I've really been focused on my diet, too. I came across this diet plan, " lose 37 pounds in 28 days". First saw it on YT, then searched it. Today is day 22. I have not faltered, except, I find that I'm not very hungry(not even for snacks. Normally, I'd rather snack all day than fix a full meal. Lol)., so I think I've missed 2 or 3 meals during this time. As I've said, previously, I don't weigh myself or take measurements; just kind of go by how I look in the mirror and how my clothes fit. So, I've said ALL this( I'm sorry!!), to say, that cycling and low carb is sounding very good right now. I don't really have space for a stationary at home, but I've been thinking about getting back into the gym. When I do, that will definitely be incorporated into my workouts. Again, THANK you SOOO much for responding( and for reading my book, lol. SORRY!!!). It was nice hearing from you. All the best. ...

      @@adrienneyt2250just be careful with low carb diets. Carbs aren't the enemy, junk and overdoing any good does it, alongside of stress.
      If you're consuming caffeine, not sleeping well or long enough or have chronic stress, fat loss becomes almost impossible. Women need to be esp mindful about including carbs, as low carb diets are notorious for throwing hormones and cycles off. Don't use caffeine to porp you up, let sleep, hydration and food be your energy sources.
