- Part II: • Crossing Valheim's map...
Credit to @Ricksdetrix for taking this glitch and adding on the feather cape. See their video here: • Video
We started from mountains biome and shot into not as steep of a roof to try get a flatter trajectory. Worked pretty well!
I remember watching the live broadcast of this when I was just a kid in my parents' longhall. It's a shame there are so many conspiracy theorists these days that say it was faked. Really undermines the achievements of bright and hard working vikings.
All you have to do is look at the pixels to tell it was legit
Right? When are the conspiracy theorists finally gonna accept that the world is flat?
When Odin still doesn't let you into Valhalla, you gotta do it yourself.
unfortunately he still has those surface to air missiles at 1:22
Good thing you went prepared with a frost potion. It's cold in space.
Ecologically friendly alternative to teleportation.
Cutting down on surtling core emissions, love it!
It's not the fall that kill you, it's the sudden stop at the end !
But wait! There's more! You can also transport metals!
@@BigBrianGameplay lmao
The audio sync was such a good meme... well done!
Thanks!
But what if that edge was just a flat disc on top of a bigger spherical world?
Ohno it's one of those spherical realm weirdos trying to disprove the video.
its a disk sitting on a branch of the Jörmungandr (the viking world tree)
@@Kombo4196 close, That's the world serpent.
Ygdgdasil is the big shrub in the sky.
@@madhijz-spacewhale240 Your right! Maybe it is a flat disc... on top of an even bigger, infinitely flat plane... you can go past the edge... there is a flat ashlands biome that seems to be infinite... I've never found an edge
I actually had a go trying to get to the end, and made a video about it. Essentially there's a maximum distance out that you can teleport (2^31 metres in both x and y directions), and at that distance out, you can't even fly further because the game is bugging out hardcore haha. It's still ashlands but it starts to look trippy once you teleport out far enough.
broke the sound barrier in valheim, damn
The speed is much faster than falling from the Yggdrasil at 5km height.
~13km in 74 seconds makes it 175 m/s. Half the speed of sound.
Staging successful. Payload is now on it's way to the afterlife
lmao
the sound was so well timed, epic flight!
Cheers mate!
When you're tired of hauling metals with boat
I mean this would revolutionize moving around metals if you got a partner, load them up with them and then make sure you have the feather cape but not equipped right away, then equip it as you're landing, and avoid trying to make such a powerful ramp. People have tested and tested and gotten some pretty accurate launches, so if a player can ping where their smelter is or the teammate knows then they can make a very quick launcher if they learn how to build it perfectly every time--that's going to be the hard part. But imagine that.
@@briondalion or the devs can just balance the game so its not such a time sink.
@@magnesjberg24 eh you can "speedrun" the first two bosses, then go onto smelting and stuff if you want. I just quickly defeat the first two bosses as fast as possible and then try to get just enough iron that i need for the swamp, tend to speedrun mountains because it's kinda tedious although I need the silver end game, and then black metal still for stuff. Not too difficult to get foods, farming makes the game way easier along with potions, which yes, take a while, like 30 minutes to ferment stuff, but just build a lot of them and do other stuff whilst its fermenting. Technically you can get around the mountains without even freeze potions if you can find 3 eggs and modor spawn really easily, just die right next to the mountain with a bed nearby (make sure to obviously save it as spawn), then lay down a fire, sit down, get your rested bonus, then summon Eikthyr power and get your body after eating food. You won't even take freeze damage for a good 30 seconds, just keep doing it and laying down beds with fires near them, you cannot die to freeze damage with a fire nearby. Just gotta do it fast. We know what we need. Three dragon eggs. Find them one at a time put them in a chest near modor spawn and then do that and light her on fire as well. Now it's endgame content and although you have to die a lot to get that infinite stamina for 30 seconds, you can speed through the monotonous stuff really fast.
Edit: If you need to be able to transport metals as fast as possible, just find a safe place to die deliberately in the game with /die in chat command. Pretty sure that's how it works. Just make sure to lay down a tiny shack with a bed in it with a campfire, claim bed, /die in chat. Sleep, get your rested bonus, gather your ore (and with Meningord with corpse run I think you can haul over 600 for 30 seconds) activate Eikthyr = easy transport of ore. The most tedious part. Or you can go the way of modding, but I like vanilla playthough
@@briondalion your way of playing the game sounds like absolute cancer. i would never enjoy it that way. you essentially speedrun early game, and then cheese the rest, sounds pretty boring to me, and not how the game ''should'' be ''enjoyed'' (going by the devs view of how it should be played).
instead of this convoluted way of going about it, the game should just have a better progression flow. i see why alot of people stop playing due to how tedious the game gets, esspecially if you have bad RNG.
@@magnesjberg24 that's not how I am currently playing, I am merely suggesting the easiest way to beat the game.
No balance needed. The way I actually play the game is probably not cancerous, I build very tiny bases and I only gather wood off the ground and always make sure I have a rested bonus. Yes I will die a lot but I just make very tiny shacks, enough for a bed with a spawn point and progress from there.
All you need start game is a flint knife, crude bow, and a hammer. don't need to cut down trees, maybe like five trees. Knock down abandoned structures. It is faster
your body jsut ragdolling into space at high velocity
Now do one where you try and get that death marker back. 😄
my stuff belongs to Odin now
Shout outs to [biome_none] definitely going to remember this one for my valheim top 3 biomes list.
you when so high that on the map it said you werent even in a biome
Oh yeah the "biome_none" tag - spacetime was breaking apart
They better leave this in the game.
1. Doing this anytime before the feather cape kills you.
2. Can only be done via team work.
3. Fun as hell
I forgot to reply to this. I thought at some point they did try to patch it? It was before I started playing so i dont know if it failed or it used to be harder to do. Either way, I agree!
and you did this by day 17
impressive.
It seems that the viking space program is far more advanced than people think
The narration fits into this way too well
This video is so underrated.
Cheers mate!!
thats awesome. i wonder if using the sledge would send you down so you could use it for transport
GL getting your gear back xD
It belongs to Odin now haha
Worthy sacrifice.
I wanna know what they have in store for biome_none
Sounds really interesting lol
You are actually faster than debugmode!
This video needs at least 1M views.
Cheers brother
There ya go-science!
You can't argue against this proof haha
Hehehehe, freaking brilliant, 10/10
Now, hear me out, border to border flight?
Not even joking, we tried to do exactly that yesterday. The results will be coming soon
Nice shot.
Cheers!
Wtf did i just watch? Good job guys
valheim delivery service to valhalla
do the same from the most southern point towards north and see how far you get
Well played
Amazing creation :D I laughed so hard
Thanks!
can you show the setup?
You can see it in the thumbnail of this video:

Basically you have the chest, about one floor piece before the roof pieces and a ladder behind it. It takes a bit of work with the other person to find the spot where they harpoon you so that you stay harpooned without the line breaking (but at the same time being close to the limit).
When you've got it set up, you jump and almost instantly the person with the harpoon has to release you, again it can take a bit of time to get the timing right but once you do it a few times you can hit it pretty easily.
checkmate athiests
Globe-earthers in shambles
Well if you just sailed to the edge you would know
Yeah I know, I've done better than that - I made past the edge of the world in another video.
@@BigBrianGameplay I didnt ask if you did better
@@TheRealVandpistolen yeah well my dad works at Iron Gate Studio
@@TheRealVandpistolenL comment
I thought they patch the launching the the harpoons?
I'd read that but I don't know if it was easier to do in the past or anything. All I can do is confirm that it still is possible as of the last patch (without mods/cheats or anything)
Who needs portals?
That was epic.
Checkmate globe earthers
too bad it wouldn't let him fly off into space
We gotta try the steeper roof
Excellent
Cheers mate!
It's not a glitch it's a feature
VALHALLAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
Awesome. Now go get your items off your gravestone. :P
proves nothing but that you dont have map for beyond the deep north.
gg harpoon op
Now go retrieve the cape
It's my offering to Odin so that he doesn't strike me down with another surface to air missile next time
Nice
its funny. ty
Your going to lose your mind when you figure out you could of teleported there with commands or mods
haha yeah I've got another video where I see how far out you can go!
I hate to break it to you but valheim aint earth.
Then how do you explain the abomination outside my house right now??
@@BigBrianGameplay That's easy, Odin chose you.
@@BigBrianGameplay That's not an "abomination" it's the "Obamanation" and it wants to consume your change
God's speed
hahahahhahahaha
i hate that you did this with a potato pc. not enjoyable lol

this is old news. valheim has been flat since its launch
