I hear them often in the trees around my house (I'm from Australia)
Lucky you.
Me too...every morning outside my bedroom window, and on sunset, they hang out in the big trees around my home. Best way to start and end the day!
Can you take me to Australia? (I am from Russia) ;)
I bet you can hear them getting ornery with each other as the day starts.
I'd train my mynah bird to keep replying with What's so funny?
Wow! Laughter is indeed 100% contagious. I mean seriously. Look at that bird. 🐦
Sounds like every morning, and afternoon too! Greetings from Brisbane, Australia. Be well all.
The world needs more Kookaburras :)
One of my best memories of a bicycle tour in Australia in the mid 80’s is the sound of kookaburras. I never got tired of hearing them.
Human:*Say something*
Bird:That's the funniest sh*t i've ever seen in my whole life!
I love how the kookaburra ups his pitch the harder the girl laughs.
It was the handler, if you listen carefully you can hear the handler making a whiry noise in the background.
I love the sound of Kookas, Chirruping Wedgebills and most of the wild birds. Aussie wildlife can’t beat it.💚💛
I remember that sound... i've been in Australia for one year in the 2013... i miss it so much 😓
Daniel M, go back.
Come back
Girl: "so a bird walks into a bar,..."
Kookaburra: "🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, thats so funny. Birds dont walk into bars you silly you"
He had to. He just flew in from Chicago and boy were his wings tired!
Y Mac . Three guys walked into a bar, you'd think one of them would've seen it,
I love those birds…they are so cute! Love Australians too…I love the way they talk. 🌿💚🌿

Nature. Inventing the laugh-track before man discovered Sitcom.
This truly made me laugh! They are the comic relief of the avian world.
Fun fact: In Norway these birds are officially named latterkokaburra ( “laughter kookaburra”).
Interesting fact 😄 I'm Australian and had never heard that used before.. perhaps because I've never been to Norway haha
Their name is actually the Laughing Kookaburra in Australia as well, people just call them kookaburras.
In German we say Laughing Hans, the name just means Johannes/John *shrug* :D
In Czechia we call them Lednak :D
The bushman's alarm clock knows the jokes :D
He is so adorable 🥰 Makes me think of the Kookaburra song we learned in school….over 50 years ago & I still remember it❤️
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, merry merry king of the bush is he, laugh Kookaburra laugh, Kookaburra laugh how gay your life must be.
When you make a joke and no one laughs but your friend has your back 👀
lol
This is a glorious sound especially when whole families of them greet the day when the sun comes up and says goodbye to it when the sun goes down
