Have you ever heard kookaburra's singing before?🤔
If you ever watched the old TV show, Flipper, then you've heard a kookaburra.
Every morning at about 5 or 6 🎶
You call that SINGING??!
Is that kookaburra singing as ❤ as a hummingbird's tune?
Also watching the 🇺🇸 birthday on NBC
You know you're doing something right when wild animals trust you and bring their babies to you.
Its such a responsibility I feel I have to complete bluejays bring me their babies bcs I have a huge feeding station & i ask them if their mating & if so they could bring their babies to eat some snacks . I often times think about if they depend on me 😅
@@uniquely_melissa awwww it's so nice you help your blue jay friends! 💙
@OhThatsBirdyFriends that is sooo cute!!!
Boy they are so cute! God bless you for helping them! 🕊🙏❤️🙏🕊
Oh gosh am I the only bird lover not doing this 😂@@uniquely_melissa
They have such big fluffy heads, I love these birds
This woman had the softest and most calming voice. The Bob Ross of Birds.
@@OlNineToes Thank you for the very kind words 🐥🌿🙏🏻
"Birb Ross"
@@OlNineToes it's true, first time ever I heard such soft and relaxing voice 💖💖💖
True!❤❤❤❤
She could easily narrate a children’s show 😊
They left their most prized possession with you because that’s how deep their trust is in you. They feel so safe and secure in knowing you’d take care of their baby… what a beautiful relationship!
Amazing and adorable ❤🎉
Wow. What an honour for them to leave their baby with you. That’s unequivocal trust. Beautiful
That's one of my greatest dreams. What a great privilege! ❤❤
@@Mister_H. I have to so that I was so surprised and thrilled at the same time! 🐥🌿🙏🏻
That’s the coolest thing to have happen
I've been buddies with a Carolina wren for over a decade and they leave their precious little babies with me to babysit them. They are the sweetest little birds but they don't let me touch them. Kookaburra's are hilarious. We don't have them here in the US. I love all birds.
@@nachomom-fk2bi We had a Robin make that came back to us each spring. He would follow myself or my wife as we worked in the backyard. We would throw him any worms as we did our yard work, which he completely happy with. And he waited each day for the refill of the bird bath so he would have clean and cool water for his bath. He must of aged on during one winter, a d never came back. We really miss our backyard friend. They really become a part of your life.
You became waddles godmother without agreeing to it. The parents trust you and believe in you. What an honor.
A world without birds is unthinkable.
indeed, are you vegan then?
A world without dinosaurs is unthinkable.
A world without animals is indeed unthinkable.
We're not very good at preventing it.
A world without dogs is unthinkable.
It is perhaps the ultimate sign of trust from a wild animal when it lets you babysit their children. This lady must truly be honored.
This lady's voice has sir david attenborough level narration!! Bbc needs to hire her
I know right! it is so very calming.

Wow, thank you so very much for the kind comments🐥🌿🙏🏻
Absolutely! 😊
Heck yes, I will WATCH documentaries with this voice - there aren't enough female VAs for documentaries.
This woman should be reading audiobooks especially kids audiobooks. Her voice is so calming & makes everything sound interesting. She's a natural.
I think it’s a text to speech engine narrating. Not a real person.

Fluffy and Falcor knew they could trust "Aunt Kook" with their little one while they went off to hunt. Family is so important, even if they don't share the same DNA!
This is so sweet, you must be a special person for this family to adopt you.
🙏🏻☺️🐥
Being chosen by another species to watch their babies is such an honor! I was once chosen by a feral cat play with her kittens and it was such a great feeling. 😊
Hope you got them help and left food, water, and shelter out every day. Food 2 or 3 times a day and a tiny flat bowl of water too for the kittens to reach as well.
Thank you for sharing that heartwarming moment! 🐱❤️
@@fslayer1290 - Same here haha! Their mum left them playing with me whilst she went off and had some 'me' time rest somewhere! Then when she came back, she called them to her, they went to her immediately, so she could feed them. That was a very special privilege for me as well.🏴🌹🇬🇧.
Hope you called a TnR program so she got the help she needed.
And her kittens too.
I’ve worked w/them. _Very necessary_ to get her spayed, so no more wild kittens are brought into a very harsh world w/o a home.
The kittens can be socialized & gotten good homes...as well as fixed, too.
There’s ppl w/barns that will take the adults as barn kitties, too.
It’s a win/win all around!
Feral cats have _very hard_ lives. And sadly, it’s passed on to their kittens by the thousands, each year.
Caring ppl have the opportunity to help stop it, even if for only 1, & her offspring. That 1 alone will add up to hundreds of feral cats on the streets.
Yeah, good job risking rabies. Brilliant.
There's a special place in heaven for those that take care of and take in animals. And, I'm looking at all of you that rescue cats and dogs!! 💖💖💖💖
Omg Waddles sure does look like he's smiling! What a beautiful story!
Waddles is happy and smiling.😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
He's a cute little guy, and he sure came to the right place, where this special lady has a heart for birds.
What a paradise you live in. And to have bird friends is so wonderful.
My Grandparents have had generations and generations of these gorgeous birds coming to visit. It's SO sweet when they bring their young floofs along. My Grandfather has passed now, and my Grandma no longer lives at the farm. But my younger cousin has kept on with the tradition. They love coming for their minced meat every couple of days. Thanks for sharing this story. Much love from Melbourne Australia ❤🇦🇺
So cool that cousin is now their friend. I wish we had these birds I love their dinosaur sounds.
I am so sorry to hear that your Grandfather has since passed away but I am glad to hear that your cousin is looking after them now ❤️.
What a beautiful family tradition with the kookaburras! It's heartwarming to hear how they've been a part of your grandparents' lives for generations.
I'm so happy to hear that the tradition continues for the kookaburras at your grandparent's place. All of you are so fortunate to have these birds as one of your native species. I'd love to see them in their natural habitat! ❤
@@Cara-hm2tl Really, you're sorry to hear that a grandparent you've never know or even met, has passed away...as if that is some weird and unnatural thing...People get old and they leave this planet, there's nothing to be sorry about it's just the way it is, so stop all the overly sensitive bs, please.
What an honor to be so trusted by these amazing little birds.

@@CuddleBuddiesChannelThey are completely stunning!!❤
As a child, we sang a kookaburra song in grade school!
I had forgotten, but this video of the adorable birds brought the lyrics right back:
🎵🎵🎵
Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree
Merry merry king of the bush is he
Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookaburra
Gay your life must be.....
Verse 2!
Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree/
Eating all the gumdrops he can see/
Stop! Kookaburra stop! Kookaburra save some there for me!
We also learned that one! Had 😂no idea what a kookaburra was, I thought it was a cute furry animal. No internet in my 1960s northern Canadian town.
@@Elizabeth-rq1vi Yes, i didn't know what it could be either-- maybe something from a fairy tale! :) No internet indeed, only a set of well - used & loved encyclopedias in the middle of Kansas farmland.
It's interesting how widespread this song actually was.
You just brought back that memory to me in a California elementary school.
@@Tina-qp7py I'm glad you got to re-experience the memory.

I think this lady has found her "sprit animal".
What a lucky lady.

How can you be that cute? You can almost envy this woman for having experienced something like that. A wild bird gives its trust to a human...I think this is really something special.

@@gabriellebishop130 You feel blessed because you ARE blessed with the trust of this fluffy creatures.
I love the birds of Australia. They don’t seem to be afraid of humans.
I have kookaburras in my backyard too and I love them. The noise they make doesn’t bother me at all. In fact it seems natural, like the noise belongs. And yes they are friendly. I know that I could feed them but I don’t want them to be dependant on me for food. They all look plump and healthy so I know they aren’t going hungry . Delightful creatures.
That's wonderful to hear! 😊
They are amazing! I don’t feed them daily, they just get fed if it’s boiling hot or if we have torrential rain. They hunt for themselves 🐥🌿☺️☀️
Waddles and his parents are charming beyond belief! Mad respect to this caring Aussie lady for being these wild kookaburras' dream come true!
When I stayed with my sister in Australia, two Kookaburras would sit on next doors television aerial, and wake me up every morning! Noisy, but utterly adorable!
That sounds like a delightful wake-up call! 😄
Same. Try 10 on your veranda at 6 am 😊😊😊
I think something special for this women a wild bird trusted her beautiful voice. ❤
We live in Perth. We have a pair of Frogmouths that live in a tree in our back yard. I feel so honoured when I sit outside at night and I see them land on the gate or the fence whilst they are hunting. And nothing thrills me more than when I see their offspring waiting for Mum and Dad to come and feed them. Blessed to be an Aussie. 🇦🇺
That sounds incredibly special! 😊 Having Frogmouths in your backyard must be a true blessing. Enjoy those magical moments with your feathered neighbors! 🦉❤️

I’ll never get sick of being woken up in the early morning by the sound of the Kookaburra. ❤
It is an honour. I fed Kookaburra's at a relatives place on Phillip Island, quite an experience, they are remarkably gentle.
Waddles is handsome and the children are adorable. I’m just glad he felt safe around you
Always reminds me of the song I sang in Brownies almost 60 years ago. Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree. Here in Canada I had no idea what a little laughing bird would look like. Such a delight to see them -so sweet.
"...merry, merry king of the bush is he-ee." Pennsylvania here! We sang that too in Brownies! I only recently learned what a kookaburra was. It's a kingfisher.
Never heard of that kind of bird. Pleasantly surprised. Sweet lady with a good kind heart otherwise the birds wont leave the little one with her. Thanks for your story.
They're kookaburras, native to Australia. Their laughter-like call is quite distinctive!
May Buddha bless you and your feathery friends! Nature and it’s inhabitants are beautiful and bring joy to our lives.
I want to move to Australia just for the kookaburra experience. I visited Australia 50+ years ago while I was in the US navy and never saw or heard of these wonderful birds at the time.
Is it me? because I feel those birds can look directly into your Soul.Heheh
I experienced a little miracle Finch adopt me during COVID, she stayed on my patio everyday, sunrise to sunset! Built a family there. Yes, they built a trust in me. Extraordinary 😊

You are blessed to be an honorary Kookaburra! They are the darndest cutest birds! I visited Australia in the 1980s, and was astounded by the wealth of colorful birds there. If you can be a carer for birds in need, you are close to being an angel.
To be the godparent to a wild bird must be an absolutely thrilling experience! Thank you for sharing your beautiful feathered family 😊
Thank you for being kind to those beautiful kind of birds. ❤❤❤
I recall decades ago backpacking in Oz and going to a youth hostel outside Sydney which had a kookaburras land on terrace several times a day. It was wonderful he would let people gently stroke his head .

Thanks for this beautiful video - entertaining and educational! As for the song… I am old enough to recall the original words, in which the last line was “Gay your life must be.” 😀 I understand the reason for the change (don’t know when it happened). It only proves the power of words!
I live in the U.S. and my 4th grade teacher was from Australia. I remember him teaching us that song. I still remember it over 40 years later.

Aaaahhhhh, kookaburras 😍😍😍 They're so adorable!
What a precious little bludger is the kookaburra. My bird feeder attracts sprigs, titmouse, bluejays and colorful woodpeckers. When I am tardy in replenishing the feeder, some of them will place wing on hip, tap the foot and roll the eyes as if to say, "Really?"
😂😂 I can see that exactly as you described it!
Lack of animal instinct!
What a heartwarming moment! Unbelievable, but what if three in chorus? Make a plan for a small pond stocking fish!
Love these wonderful, loud birds! They kept me company, coming to eat raw meat from my hand, the months I was in AU, land of my beloved mum. Must return to her paradise.
