I was a child at the Missouri State Fair wondering around with my sister (just 2 years older), when we heard this wonderful voice from the Budweiser tent. A skinny blonde kid that my sister thought was a good looking guy. Turned out to be Alan Jackson, before he was famous. We sat outside that area listening until he stopped playing songs. Wasn't until "Chatahoochie" that we mad the connection. What a man, what an example, what a career.

The name is Mr. ALAN JACKSON!! This version of that wonderful song had me in tears all the way through it. I have mad respect for you Mr. Jackson for keeping your composure and singing this song perfectly as you did..I know you and George had a bond that was unbreakable and I remember how you went to bat for him with the song Choices on stage that time. You deserve to be the country music legend that you are sir and I promise you that heavens were just elated as you dang this song in it's truest fashion. God bless you for what you have done sir. You, much like George, represent true country music that just doesn't exist in these performers today!
The same man that sung George Jones’ “Choices” when the jerks in charge of air time told Jones to cut the song short. Alan Jackson was top of the charts at the time so he was allowed to sing for as long as he wanted. He stopped his own song halfway through to sing Choices and left the stage immediately after. @@rickyferguson2362 thanks for sharing your beautiful comment on Alan Jackson Beautiful music video thanks a lot
AMEN AND AMEN!!!
This is the only man that could’ve sang that song for Joel George Jones. He is one awesome singer and George thought the best of him. Good job. Good job Alan Jackson. You’re the best.
Alan Jackson - such a class act. An incredible singer - with a career that only a handful of country singers, including George Jones, can match.
Alan did such an amazing job, don't know how he held it all together with 🎉❤❤❤😂😮
Peace and love always❤❤❤❤❤❤
George Jones was the greatest county singer of all time. Jackson did a good job.
This was a great song sung by and awesome singer. George would be proud of Alan. George is smiling down.
Always love ❤❤
One of the last great true country music stars paying tribute to the late great George Jones which will always be my favorite artist....Your contribution and influence is immeasurable George.

I am a country music fan and this just doesn’t get any better ❤
That was perfection. RIP George.
This is the first time I've seen this. I've always loved this song and George Jones singing it. I didn't even want to listen to someone else trying to sing it because I knew nobody else could do it justice but Alan Jackson just sang the hell out of it. Very touching.
My late mother was a Sunday school teacher and always told us this man's love for this lady would last eternity 🤠🦅🦅⭐⭐🙏🕯️
Hello there, how're you doing today....??
This is my favorite George Jones' song. Cry everytime I hear it! They picked the best singer to play this song at George's funeral!
Perfect Song for his Funeral......The Lyrics are so sad n yet so memorable...❤❤❤😊
Oh boy….i didn’t think anyone else could sing this song as beautifully as George Jones…Alan Jackson NAILED IT! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Alan Jackson really did love that man as it shows as he sings God bless you Alan Jackson

Nobody else could have sung it better .U could C the EMOTION IN his eyes 👀. How he held it all back to finish his Tribute to his good friend is beyond myself.I cannot watch ,without welling up myself.
Great job ALAN.
Alan was the right man for this. Although not a country fan I do respect all music genres...this was gold...rip George, a real music legend, peace all and respect from a humble northerner.
Alan Jackson is my best county singer
It took a heck of a man to sing at the funeral of someone he thought so much of and loved him dearly. No one could do it like Alan Jackson.
So sorry for the infringe on your privacy. Beautiful song. How are you?
That’s how long I’ll love Alan Jackson and him singing His beautiful Country Music.
This is a beautiful tribute to George Jones. 💞💞♥️
My husband Jimmy and I went to see George Jones at the Ector County Coliseum in Odessa, Texas in the 90's. I was an Anniversary present from me to him.
Hey how are you doing today…?
What a lovely tribute to George Jones.....beautiful.....RIP George.
I am a fan I think your great.
Who among us who've lived most of our lives with unrequited love can listen to this song without tears flowing down our faces...?!
Hello, how is everything going over there..?
I can't imagine how hard it was for you to sing this song on this day but what a great job you did and I'll bet old George was smiling wherever he was. You were a great friend to him. Thanks for the very moving tribute!
Hello Darlene how are you doing today?
Putting myself into Allan's boots , I know I couldn't hold myself together to get through this song . I have lost my best life time friend lately and I couldn't get up to the mike to honour my friend let alone sing his favourite song . I know exactly how Allan felt as he honoured his dear friend . Total respect, from an 80 year old country fan .
Could have been a more appropriate song picked.
In 12 days it will be a year since my husband of 43 years passed away and this song has me in floods of tears. Except I believe he does still love me ❤️🩹
Pure county!
Alan Jackson’s voice is a gift from God!
Best song ever!❤
How his voice didnt waver while singing, under all that emotion, I'll never know.. I cant even listen without getting emotional. That's why he's a pro. Man, what a tribute.
My dads favorite singer and favorite song. Memories😢 forever. Oh how my dad would sing this at the top of his lungs. I could hear it in my head the day we buried him Dec 2012. Miss you so much dad.
Hi Diane
My dad loved this song too. Thanks for reminding me of one of my favorite memories. Take care. 🙂
Alan, the most purest voice of Country music Ever
This was one our my husband’s favorite we listened to it many times, he passed in 2011. I played it at his funeral
God bless Alan Jackson for holding it together to honour one of his idols ❤❤ Such a great tribute.

The best singing I've heard...so beautiful.. Alan you never sounded better..wow...
Thanks for the continuous love and support ❤️❤
This is how I want my funeral to go. Play my favorite music & tell upbeat stories. I wonder if George picked Alan to do "his song". He did it perfectly!
Hello,how are you doing
Hello Julie, I hope you are doing well?
One of the best country songs ever written. What a tribute by Allan!
The guy has balls of steel and an incredible amount of reverence for George Jones. There couldn’t have been a better pick for this song
I Guess you're a country MUSIC lover?
Thank you Great information 🌻
