With the bonus for all the features, a you need to do is look at the features completed and simply count the lowest number of features completed to count your total bonus.

I like the base game but I still don't get why the central board is as flimsy as it is.
Thanks for the honest review of the expansion, I see little value in this for the reasons mentioned.

The spaces for the score markers shouldn't be bigger, but the new score markers should have been smaller.

The price point is so low that this could be considered as a mini expansion. If it was any higher, I would pass but it's so low that I didn't mind purchasing it.

That's a bit of a shame. I feel like after terraforming mars I've been trained in the art of not banging the table so I don't really need the plastic overlay. Shame the new boards don't add anything too hip mechanically.

I don’t see the need for overlays in this one, tiles are big and chunky, if you are not living on a fault line with terrible earthquakes every single day, tiles will remain where they are

The overlays seem to me like the least compelling reason for this expansion. There's no scoring on individual player boards, so what's the purpose? The diamond shapes sit just fine, and if someone bumps the table, oh well. Mixing up the colour values on the main board a bit so that purple is not always the best, and weighing the statue set collection points actually seems more interesting.

I feel like the new boards encourage people to play the game more how it was meant to be played in the first place i.e. completing full stars and stars next to each other. I've seen a few people give the game a bum rating because they never thought to go after 5 & 6 spaces and thought the game was purely about how many tiles you can draft.

I'm passing on this - I'd like to see publishers use more recyclable cardboard (duel layered in this case) and less plastic that ends up in landfills and oceans. It just doesn't seem necessary in this case to use plastic.

I don't see the point of the plastics. The board variants, haha, if I want I am just going to print some fountains and scoreboards and we are good to go. A mini expansion.

Everyone is buying this explicitly for the overlays.

Arg....good review....I wish I had seen this....I thought I was getting a game when I bought this....I was pretty surprised when I opened it up.....I thought "expansion to Azul" meant to the original game. My mistake.

The fact that plan B games has been bundling overlays with the azul expansions clearly shows that these are an essential requirement and should be included in the base game itself. Trying to sell off the expansion with overlays is a cheap marketing tactic...

Wow, this is completely underwhelming to me.
