    Nice, but would like to see more of the simulator (hardware), not only the screens / driving.

    keep up the awesome work :D Not sure if your interested but my friend from the town across 'DrDoomsLab' has nearly finished with a converted from rF version of the Transfragarasan Road North for Assetto Corsa, with permission of course. He and my mate across the road have made much progress on updating the terrain and visual aspects of the map, it looks fabulous in my opinion. I think its one of the top rates mod maps for AC atm.

    Finally get to see a real XAP GP2 wheel in action. Wonder how big is the rim size

    I only see a Playseat F1 and screens. Where is the HE chassis?

    Neils, question for you. How did the playseat behave with the direct drive motor? Is the steering column strong enough for the FFB forces?

    I agree with Daniel Schwiperich...more info about the actual 'simulator' and less of the wheel/screens!

      Hey guys, we were supplied with a Playseat as a base, used a Bodnar SimSteering system and a set of our own Ultimate pedals. Some other photo's can be seen here: www.h-engineering.net/progress-custom-gp2-simulator/ For the software we use rFactor 1 with a few plugins. The GP2 physics model is developed by us.
      It is a pretty straightforward system, we will probably be offering this as a turnkey solution somewhere in 2015 (with a different tub/chassis).

      ***** No offense, but if you're going to upload a VIDEO and give the video a title of " GP2 Simulator - Work in Progress"..then show the simulator, as well as everything about it, not tell your viewers to go to your website to get more info, or see pics ! This is BASIC video SEO!

      Hey, we're a small operation and do not have any SEO specialists. When we're shooting 'official' product videos we try to be as complete as possible. This was just a friday afternoon video made to share quickly, we hope you understand.

      Sim RaceDriver I saw a video of a work-in-progress GP2 simulator. The title is accurate.

    • @TheSimracedriver
      @TheSimracedriver 10 років тому

      Betta Lines Not sure what video you were looking at, but I didn't see any of the simulator..I just saw some dude sitting in some type of 'cockpit'...but there was no footage of JUST the cockpit, nor was there any point in the video where anyone could have gone.."Oh..that's a Playseat Cockpit..how cool!"
      Nor was there any type of commentary explaining what it is, how it works, or what future plans the company has for using it! Not trying to rag on the company, as I love the HE Line of pedals, but is it really hard for a company, regardless if it's a one man shop or a large corp. to actually 'talk' during the making of a video, especially when it covers upcoming products the company is working on?

    Is this the Gp2 Mod for rFactor?

    • @HeusinkveldEngineering
      @HeusinkveldEngineering  10 років тому +1

      Hi Fabrizio. No, the physics are developed by ourselves using our own toolset and are not publicly available: www.h-engineering.net/products/advanced-vehicle-simulation/

    What kind of steering wheel base is it , bodner?

    • @TheSimracedriver
      @TheSimracedriver 10 років тому

      apparently you and I "missed it'..as the wheel, as it's mentioned in the "DESCRIPTION" is..and I quote...
      "A genuine GP2-wheel"..which, doesn't say if it's attached to a LB base, or a PE wheel base..guess this information wasn't important to list in the video, or even mention during the video!

    • @jonjonson9353
      @jonjonson9353 10 років тому +2

      It's a bodnar base (simsteering.com).

    • @TheSimracedriver
      @TheSimracedriver 10 років тому

      Jon Jonson and had that been mentioned in either the original video, or even referenced in the 'description', people wouldn't ask such a question...

      Sim RaceDriver
      I'm almost tempted to say "Hi Darin"
      You kinda remind me of him ;)

    • @TheSimracedriver
      @TheSimracedriver 10 років тому

      LOL! Funny...seeing as I know the back story between him and Matt Orr...But you can find me on the Iracing forums..and I'll prove I'm not who you think I am..my background is marketing (SEO/Video) and my OCD kicks in when I see ill-titled videos where the title doesn't do the video content justice, or is misleading. Sorry if I come across as confrontational, but then that's what happens when people take something in written context..they assume they know the true 'meaning of the message'...Cheers! :)
