Yeah I was genuinely surprised when I was told this was Eddie as a kid too because when Eddie is in makeup you can still tell its him but I honestly think this is Eddie's best unrecognisable make up to date because even the character's voice sounded NOTHING like Eddie and he even he had the mannerisms of an elderly Jewish man to a tee!

@@tarzangrant123 I saw it when it came out (I was about 30 years old) and was high as hell, and thought something is not right here, I kinda knew it was makeup but NEVER knew it was Eddie until the ending.
He is very gifted in that, especially changing his voice which no one mentions is what throws everyone off!
He walked around the lot and even the commissary and everyone was fooled. GREAT JOB by Rick Baker as always. So, you were fooled like I was and so many others.

Eddie actually got the studio to invest in the movie by doing 'Saul' for a studio head, then peeling off the make up and revealing that he was, in fact, Eddie.

I have been sleuthing across the internet to find the actor who played Saul, thinking that I knew him from somewhere, only to find Murphy pulling a reverse-RDJ on me.
    Not gonna lie, that's impressive!
And the producer/editor is Winnie the Pooh! All-star cast!

I remember seeing this and not even knowing it was him until waaaaay after like a 2nd seeing of the movie. I knew he played SOME other characters but the makeup on this is just incredible. I wouldnt even notice if i didnt stick for the end credits bloopers more than once to figure why it put "Eddie Murphy" under the old white barbershop guy
